*Yawn* Hmm...
I hate hotels. I really do. No matter how nice they are, I just do not sleep well in them.
And I didn't even really need to sleep in one this time. We're close enough to Disneyland, I think, but...
This way I got to spend more time with my sister, her husband, and my adorable niece. They're visiting from Texas, but they're staying up with the bulk of our family, so my evil twin and I only got to see her this weekend.
Anyway, my niece is walking now, and talking a bit, and she's just unbelievably cute. ^__^ And my nephew (another sister's son) is cute with her, too.
...But really... More and more I'm thinking that Disneyland would be much more fun without so many of my family members. The more of us there are, the longer it takes to reach a damn decision about anything.
Oh... and I say Bad Company on Friday night. I really liked it.
...And my evil twin got some extra entertainment before that...
He found the first time I've ever used the F-word immensely entertaining...
And of course, he couldn't wait to tell our whole family!
Well, you see, I was the one who never cussed as a kid, and actually cried one time because I accidentally said a bad word. -.-;
Yeah... I swear my ass off now when the mood takes me, but I was saving the F-word...
I didn't even mean to say it out loud then... and I was so surprised that it came out that I couldn't even finish my sentence.
Well... I guess sexism just gets to me that much. It wasn't even a strong example of sexism, but I guess things have been building. Anyway, I was paying for our dinner at Downtown Disney. I put my credit card in, and the waiter comes and picks it up. And he says, "I'll take care of this for you, sir." ... He automatically assumes that my brother is the one paying. He even said, "Here you go, sir." When he brought the receipt back to be signed. Didn't he even look at the name on the card? He finally caught a clue when I was the one who signed...
..And then he called me "ma'am." ;.;
I know that shouldn't bother me too much, but still... And, I know it is short for "madam" (hey, I'm a madamoiselle), but in my mood then, it struck me that aloud, it sounds short for "mammary."
=P~~~~~~
Oh, and I saw a really cool show at California Adventures! But it was too short! It was a condensed version of Blast. My oldest sister said that I and my sister visiting from Texas had to see it, since we had been in marching band in high school.
That show kicked ass. It made me wish we could've used blacklights when I was in band.
Although, being a trumpet player, I cringed at the ones that threw theirs in the air...
Man...I want to see the full version of that!
...Drums and blaring brass... And my little niece slept through most of it!
Yes, so, it was an interesting weekend, despite having to deal with tons of obnoxious people at Disneyland.
Children that haven't been taught manners... people who think being an asshole gives them the right-of-way... high school kids... line-cutters... people that complain at the top of their lungs at rides stopping temporarily...
Ma na... at least the 2 random teenage boys who tried to bullshit us in the Space Mountain line were amusing. And there are always the polite strangers one can bump into.
Now... I need to watch the Farscape season premiere that I taped on Friday!
If this is the happiest place on Earth...

;.; I finished all the Crystal Dragon that I have! I want more! I want to know what happens next! And I want to go back and get volume 1, so I see the encounter between Alianrhod and Balor. And I want volume 4 so that I know what happened to that guy who proposed to her...
And volume 19 just came out in late February.
Why did I get myself hooked on another long series? ;.;
Oh wait... It's all my evil twin's fault! He's the one who grabbed it in Mandarake and brought it to my attention.
...
At least the series my best friend just had to get me hooked on is only 6 volumes long...
Ao no Millenium... Very good...
But even she's having trouble getting all of it! ;.;
People are just being evil!
*sigh* I may soon get desperate for certain volumes... And I'll want to go bookstore hopping through southern California.
Start with the crappy Books Asahiya in San Diego (I gotta find out if there's a better store in the area) -- they had all older stuff, so I might find at least one thing I'm looking for there... Then, up to the Costa Mesa Kinokuniya, then Ebisu Shoten in Fountain Valley, then the Torrance Asahiya... And then there's Mandarake... And if I can't find what I'm looking for, then onto Little Tokyo, and the bigger Kinokuniya!
And I probably still wouldn't find anything (supposing I had the time and gas money to go to all those places).
And I'd wish I was in the Bay Area. ;.;
Um... yeah... anyway... Ao no Millenium is a recommendation so far (eheh...I actually only have volume 1). It's refreshing to read a shoujo manga where it's the girl who gets the lines like "I'll protect you." And she's saying this to the guy -- not to another girl. ^__^ Anyway, it's by Morino Aki and it's put out by Hana to Yume.
...Let all your manga wish lists get as long as mine!
Ohohohoho!
Hmmm... here... so you all get the idea, I'll share my wish list!
------------------------------
Princess Comics and Bonita Comics titles
Asami Yuu - A.I. Revolution 10+ (15 comes out this month!)
Ashibe Yuuho - Crystal Dragon 1, 4, 12+ -- Deimos no Hanayome 1-17

Hana to Yume titles
Takaya Natsuki - Fruits Basket 3+
Tsuda Masami - KareKano 9+
Hiwatari Saki - Boku no Chikyuu wo Mamotte 4+
Morino Aki - Ao no Millenium 2-6
Yuuki Kaori - Angel Sanctuary 10+
Ribon
Ayahana Min - Akazukin ChaCha 9, 11+
Obana Miho - Kodomo no Omocha 4+
Tanemura Arina - Full Moon wo Sagashite 1(+)
Asuka / Asuka DX
Ichino Harumi - Extra Ring 6, Ring 1-7
Higuri You - Ludwig II 3
Kimi to Boku
Hayami Yoku - Quarters Dream 2
Murakami Maki - Gravitation 1-2, 5+
...
Oh... and of course, I'd like to sometime try other titles by Higuri You and Yuki Kaori...
And of course I'll want more Yami no Matsuei and Trigun Maximum as new volumes become available...
And I may find other artists and/or series that I like in that mass I got...
...It'll about amount to one more volume I want for each one I already have. ;.;
I whined to my brother about being addicted to series and having trouble getting all of them...
He told me to stop picking up new series.
But... come on... At a sale that amounts to 25 cents a volume, wouldn't you try lots of new stuff? I mean, the only thing cheaper than that is Top Ramen!
...
Okay, there're probably other things as cheap... But it really does amount to risk-free manga trials.
And that's enough for now... and for tomorrow...

Well, I saw my best friend graduate!
And then some! She never mentioned to me that she had been up for outstanding graduate in the College of Liberal Arts... and been a finalist!
I should have given her a noogie after the hug for that. =P
Anyway, CSULB's graduation, as usual, was sunny and warm (some would say hot, but it was only in the 80's -- and there was the occasional breeze). I used sunblock, but I didn't get it on evenly, so I have a few red spots ... Plus, I have yet to find a sunblock that I'm not allergic to... ;.;
I burn easily ... sunblock gives me a slight rash ... And I like the sun. It's not bloody fair!
...
Ah well, at least this year I wasn't the one sitting in full sun in a heavy, black, robe!
I think the graduation coordinators are sadists!
Anyway, my brother and I managed to find her family by accident during the ceremony. We were starting to ditch the rest of the ceremony (my best friend was in the first row, as a grad in the Asian and Asian American Studies dept) so as to avoid sitting through some hundred-odd Psych majors... When I heard my name called, and there was her family.
It was odd before that, though... We were at my school, and before I bumped into anyone I knew, my brother found someone he knew! A friend of his from high school was graduating that day, too.
So... after the ceremony, and before we went out to dinner... My friend suggested we go to Torrance on a quick trip.
^___^ Mandarake is still having its moving sale. I'm not entirely happy that they're moving to Santa Monica (since it's farther away), but... It'll be near a nice shopping area... And the moving sale is a wonderful thing!
I almost doubled my manga collection in one day... -.-;
Well... The red/orange stickered books were 20 for $5!
So, I picked out 40...
I was ecstatic! They had even restocked A.I. Revolution, so I was able to get a bunch more of that... at the cost of a quarter a volume. ^__^
And I got some more of the Ring series... some random shounen ai volumes to try... some other series by artists I had checked out last time... A ton of recommendations by my best friend...
Hehehe... her recommendation of Ao no Millenium (of which she is desperately seeking the 6th and final volume) was "Get this!" and sticking it in my basket. ^__^
They weren't in the super-cheap sale, but at $1 a volume, I still got all the Crystal Dragon they had. They still didn't have 1, and they didn't have 4... But I was jumping with joy (and scaring the children) to get 5-11!
Aahhh... manga bliss...
47 new volumes...
Anyhoot... so then we went out to dinner.
Mmm... crispy duck with taro...
Hm... and my evil twin met my best friend's evil twin my evil twin is my twin brother -- hers is a male friend from high school with the same name as her). They seemed to get along well, and both insisted that we were the evil ones. =P
...47 new volumes... I don't know what to read first...
...manga overload...

Ho-hum ... Just a quick comment before I go off to my best friend's graduation...
Leareth-chan, I had the same damn problem with FB26. And it's really annoying considering how 25 ends.
Anyway, you have to go to the divX page and download the newest version of the divX codec. ... Assuming you have the same avi file that I have anyway. That's what I had to do to get it to play.
Incidentally, I had to update my divX further to be able to screencap Mirage of Blaze.
Okay, later everyone!
^_^

...Went on irc in the hopes that my best friend would be on...
...Ended up getting a screen-ful of guys saying that all women are liars. Etc, etc...
Being the only female on the channel, I was, of course, not listened to...
Yeah, men... We really believe you are all so much more logical when you say you want women to say what they really think and in the same space, say that what women think doesn't matter...
KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Damn... now I have to go through the trouble of reminding myself that not all men are pigs...
...
...It doesn't help when the sister (I have 3 of them) with the longest-lasting, healthiest, most fulfilling relationship in my family is the lesbian. ;.;
...And when only one of my own brothers (I have 3 of them, too) passes for a decent human being.
Damn... why did those guys have to be assholes when I'm on a post-migraine low?
Chikushou! If only my best friend had been online tonight! She's the perfect antidote for other people's shit.
Now I just have to settle for distracting myself...
...bah...

...I'm in some pain right now...
Why?
Jitsu wa...
Warasugita yo...
I laughed too hard...
Jungle wa Itsumo Hare nochi Guu episode 15... My brother, friend, and I had to pause it for a minute to recover...
Oh dear... I love insanity.
Anyhoot... I actually don't love all insanity...
/Nezumi still can't get over the fact that there is a Japanese Mirage of Blaze fansite called "Spiritual SPERM..."
!?!?
...ma naa...
And speaking of that series... I just want to comment on a few of my screencaps in particular...
-.-; There is a such thing as looking too womanly... My evil twin says Kousaka Danjou (the short name for the guy in the pic) looks like Boy George...
Heh... Takaya seems to like this sort of expression.
*Sputter* Some sub lines seem to be made to be misinterpretted...
Geh... Here's a character that seem to have a permanent "f___-me face." And that's my evil twin's expression, not mine... But it fits this guy...
Hmmm...when I'm more into it, I'll post some nice Japanese fanart links I found for this series...
...Ho-hum... Looking at official Sony page for MoB anime...
Oohhh... I hope Ishin Anime hurries up... I want to get to episode 7...
...I also want to get the novels... But unless I find a domestic store, I'll end up paying almost twice as much as the books cost for shipping... ;.;
And speaking of Japanese books I may have a hard time getting... I'm really getting into the Ring series by Ichino Harumi...
I can't believe the number of androgenous characters in the Ring series world...
...And I can't get attached to the characters...
"Gee, this character is really cool... Ack! They die in volume 2! ... Well, this guy's kinda cool, too... and he's got a cool male stalker... Doh! He's dead now too... drat..."
Ehehehe... Official fan club site. You can check out official artwork there. ^_^
...and that's all for now...

^___^ I did it!
I did a little Mirage of Blaze layout.
Nothing spectacular... but I like this scene... I guess it's the hidden intensity in the words...
...And that they're said by Hayami Sho...
And Naoe is my kind of man...
Anyway... I learned how to screencap on this computer just so I could do this!
I did a bunch of screencaps for the first 4 eps.
They're not that good, or that big, but...
...I'll share them. I just zipped all of them that I did.
Ehehehe... mirage3-05.jpg is a frame I capped as a gag. ^__^
Anyway, now you can also create a Naoe layout if you want. I know yours will look better...
...
...You know... I think this is my first non-YamiMatsu layout here...
In other news... I've found out that I like duck.
I'd never tried it before because people kept telling me it isn't good... but I liked it...
And now every time I see a duck, I think of it as food...
-.-;
Do you love Naoe too?
11:59 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2002
Cool Yoda is. Talk like him we must!
Yes... I finally saw Episode II!!!!
(And the non-SW fans say, "Finally? It hasn't even been out for a week!")
But hey, this friend of my brother's that came over on Saturday night had already seen it twice by then!
Anyway...
Damn! Yoda kicks serious ass! Imagine what he could do before he needed the cane!
Mace Windu wasn't too shabby, either ... and his light saber was purple!
I want the Mace Windu lightsaber!
...
Okay... and warnings for some spoilers...
...
When will they learn that casting Christopher Lee is a dead giveaway?
If you don't know already, just knowing he plays the character tells you that it's a bad guy! (In LotR, too).
...Anyway... We see the stirrings of the dark side... we see how Owen and Beru are connected to Luke... we see why Yoda ends up dying of natural causes...
And we enjoy it all immensely.
Although, my evil twin and our friend who came to visit rapidly got fed up with me speaking like Yoda...
Ehehehe... I got the soundtrack already...
In other news... I want to do a Mirage of Blaze layout for this blog...
...mmmmm... Naoe...
may the force be with you =P
