01:39 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2002 Whew. Been a pretty okay weekend, despite getting sick... But it's not so bad, if I keep drinking tea, my throat hardly hurts at all. I saw a couple of good movies this weekend. I finally saw Ocean's 11 on Saturday, and yesterday (it's after midnight, so I have to say yesterday...) I saw Kate and Leopold. Ah, I can't believe I didn't notice in X-Men how magically babe-licious Hugh Jackman is... Ah...that movie just made me feel all fluffy. In other movie news... Wow! The 2 guys actually kiss in "Dude, Where's my Car?" as well as speaking Japanese... Hmm...I really like playing Valkyrie Profile... and some of the music is really nice. Actually...it reminds me a bit of the stuff done for FFV (the least memorable of the domestically released Final Fantasy games ... but there was some good music in there). Anyhoot, wanna see more Japanese fanart? Hm...blog's definitely more fun with websearch hits. No more people looking spankings, though... People looking for Yami no Matsuei doujin's are sorta looking in the right place (so long as they like the couplings I like...). People looking for Noir dj's though (hm...from Google France) are SOL. Getting some people with good taste in music (pierrot's agitator and elt's fragile)...but they're not gonna find it here. And I hope the 3 people searching for "classic conditioning" were looking for me, and not for information on the process of conditioning... Poor students looking for Pavlov find yaoi discussions... =P Oh, and Leareth, that's not such a strange dream. I've had some pretty out-there ones (sometimes, unfortunately vivid), like when I dreamed I got broken glass in my mailbox (except it was only my mailbox in the dream) and I squeezed it under my arm, and I could feel it starting to cut into my skin... Well, at least I woke up from that one knowing for certain who I am... I really hate those vivid dreams, where I'm not really me and while I'm still half-asleep, I have to remember who I am and then I get disoriented for the rest of the day... Damn, vivid imagination... squeak 02:30 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2002 Yatta! I finally got search engine hits on my blog! Only one fulfills my hopes for the truly bizarre, though... And it says that someone wandered onto here fromReinselft's blog...which is really odd, since as far as I know, she doesn't know my existence from that of your average pseudo-fangirl who jumps up and down when she finally finds the volumes of Trigun Maximum she's been looking for... 01:45 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2002 Kyaa! I can't believe I forgot to mention it! I also got 2 new YnM dj's in the Torrance Mandarake (hey, they have a little section for them now!). They were highly inflated prices ($6-8 stickes stuck on bags that say 200 yen...), but oh well. The $6 one's getting plunked on ebay. The $8 one I'm keeping because it's a very nice TatsumixTsuzuki one (by the same artist who did the dj pics that grace this blog currently). Leareth, you'd really like this one, since it has lovely TxT with mostly implicit sex (it shows them having sex, but its still clean enough that I can prolly put the whole thing up). I especially like the fact that both parties initiated the activity (no reluctant uke here! yay!). Oh, and it's also got super-cute (Tsuzuki telling Tatsumi that he was unfair drinking whiskey behind his back -- he tasted it when they were kissing) and super-sweet (post-...activity... cuddling!) moments. Not really long, but well-liked! And my scanner has decided to work again, so it can be easily scanned! 01:33 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2002 Whew, well, things have been interesting the last few days. On Sunday, I went down south and spent a day with my best friend. She gave me a late Christmas present: new manga! And then I bought more when we went shopping (as well as getting more Haichuu...mmmmm...). So, I got a new volume of Akazukin ChaCha, which had me laughing my head off (as well as being at a level of Japanese I can easily understand); volume 2 of Time Stranger Kyoko, which was cute and has me liking Widoshiiku (err...it's in katakana and I don't know what it's actually supposed to be...maybe I should use his real name...) and Ginga all the more; volume 2 of Kodocha (which is apparently ChaCha's favorite anime...oh, and Sana-chan tricks Aono by saying she sees ChaCha flying...); and, finally, volumes 3-6 of Trigun Maximum (Knives tte kowai!). Oh, and I decided to try a new series (for me, the series is actually from years ago) that turned out great! Well, Mandarake was having an after-Christmas sale of sorts and all the manga that was usually $2 (meaning, the series that aren't popular) was $1.50 instead, so I browsed the titles in Princess Comics (cause they're the ones that put out Cantarella and I saw some other good-looking ones in their ads) and found A I Revolution. Okay, A I Revolution is about a girl named Midori, who everyone calls Sui (it's in katakana...I don't know why this is her nickname)...anyway her father creates robots and the story involves her life and adventures (shoujo manga-type adventures) with 2 "ningen sokkuri" robots (that is, they look and act like humans). And these robots, Vermillion and Kira (Sui named them, because it was too annoying to call them by numbers, and because that's the type of person she is... Vermillion, cause his eyes are red - Kira, cause his number was K1RA3 and his hair goes "kira kira" -- sparkle sparkle), resemble beautiful male humans. Anyway, it has very funny parts, sad parts, scary villains, and plenty of shounen-ai fanservice, although there is no actual shounen-ai. Vermillion gets drunk on the tiniest sip of alcohol, then starts acting out scenes from his favorite romantic movies (which he cries while watching ^.^;) with whoever is closest to him (which so far has been Sui's father and then Kira ^__^). Vermillion is definitely the sensitive artistic type...and when a boy who has a crush on Sui asks Vermillion how he feels about Sui (since Sui said that he was her most important person -- "ichiban daijina hito") he says that he cherishes her beyond the ability of words like "sister," "mother," or "lover" can express... Kira has an attitude, as well as long golden hair and a pretty face...which he doesn't like because it makes people want to sexually harass him... Oh, and Sui and other people worry about her father being/turning gay since he designed the robots to be so pretty and gets very upset when Kira's lovely long hair gets cut (he later makes a growth medicine to make it grow back...). And, there's a recurring psychotic villain character, who's kinda like a black-haired Muraki (yup, he seems to enjoy sexually intimidating everyone, using people, being obsessive, wearing glasses, be referred to as Doctor -- he's a scientist -- and getting artificial eyes...). This started before YamiMatsu, though, so Asami Yuu didn't copy Muraki or anything like that. So, thus far (as in, I have the first 3 volumes), I highly recommend A I Revolution (btw, if ya didn't catch it, A I stands for artificial intelligence). Oh...one last intersting thing is how the author portrays herself. Some mangaka portray themselves oddly, like Yasuhiro Nightow and Higuri You (in Cantarella at least), and some portray themselves as cute, like Tanemura Arina, and some make themselves silly, like Obana Miho and Ayahana Min....but this is the first time I've even seen an artist protray herself giving someone the finger! Anyway, I also saw the movie Evolution at my friend's house, and some new anime: I, My, Me: Strawberry Eggs. Odd title, but the first 4 eps are funny, and it has few of the usual gags that occur with a guy dressing in drag (and those spread out and well-mixed). And I played DDR w/ her little sister (woo-hoo, I'm getting better!) and we ended up staying up late playing cards w/ her little sister and youngest brother. Only down-point was that I didn't get any home-made Pho this time... Well, so I was sorry to go home after only one day, and it was New Year's
Eve and I couldn't properly enjoy it because I was tired and had a headache,
and I just can't drink and/or party when I'm that way. So, my uncle was
visiting and my family went out to dinner and that was it. My New Year's
Eve highlight was my oldest sister informing me, over dinner naturally,
that she can never imagine me performing oral sex...and that she talks
about this with her friends... Yeah, so free time the last 2 days has consisted of reading new manga and avoiding football games on TV. So, basically, I've increased my level of distraction. I did at least get my YnM group on Audio Galaxy restarted (apparently AG got drunk on New Year's and forgot all its groups...). Oh, and you! What's up? You don't email, you don't respond to blog comments aimed in your direction... Have you dumped me? ;.; =P~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ rodents of the world, unite! 07:41 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2001 Wai! Belated Merry Christmas to all those who read this that celebrate
this holiday... Anyway, it, and all the chores I had to do around the house before X-mas
kept me off my computer the last few days. So, they'll be a little late,
but I'm working on a couple X-mas fics, and I should write something for
Tatsumi's b-day, and I should do a new year's fic... But all that'll be hard to get done, since I got lots of nice presents. Leareth, you'd like the T-shirt my oldest sister got me -- it's a Jedi Training Academy shirt (and it goes great with the comfy pants my parents got me). And I now have a cute little Tiffany-style turtle lamp keeping me company by my computer (got a bulb for it today). And my mom picked out this rather funny anime trivia quiz book written by some guy in San Francisco (oh dear...I got all the Ai no Kusabi ones right...). And my new toy is an MP3/CD player (my old portable cd player had been dropped too many times, as well as being at least 7 years old)...and I got new CD's to go in it (including the FFX OST that my evil twin gave me). I didn't get FFX, because I lack a PS2...but my evil twin did get the game and the PS2 to play it on (except it had to be exchanged today because it was defective and tried to eat his new game). I did get lots of new games for my PS1, though, like FF Chronicles (redone IV plus redone Chrono Trigger), Vagrant Story, Valkyrie Profile (which I've wanted since before it was translated), and ... Dance Dance Revolution! Woo-hoo! I DDR'd today. I have a fun way to work off all those Christmas cookies! ... Anyway, I also got some new DVD's: the special editions of Willow, Nightmare before Christmas, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail (ROFLMAO... you must see it in LEGO!!!!). Yeah, so the new excuse for my lack of progress is that I'm spoiled. But hey, I did do some plot development in my head while I was laying in bed, waiting for the horrible headache and odd dizzy spells to pass. So, don't get your hopes too high, but you may be able to expect some new stuff sometime soon. Oh, and you have a safe flight when you go home! not even a rat... 11:50 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2001 Hehehe... I've been taking a while to post... but I had valid excuses. Like, Monday, I tried passing out at the dinner table (didn't succeed, but I came close...and dinner didn't stay with me long). I'm okay now, but damn, that's the first time a migraine ever did that to me. Okay, and Tuesday was my youngest older sister's b-day (I have 3 sisters, all older, so I have to specify), so we went out to dinner and stuff. And last night, I was finding all of this to share with y'all: The
caption says this is "Sexy Asato." And that should keep you busy for a while! It kept me busy, but then, I had Audiogalaxy running the whole time with transfers of the YnM OST2 going non-stop and eating my bandwidth (whew, I've now sent more megs of music than I've received). Oh, and it seems that Nerdcities takes mp3's, so... ^_^ And I started translating a little doujinshi story, but I got stuck in one spot... And I've gotten ideas for Christmas fics, that might be good...if I write them...So webpage updates, if you're lucky! =P~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ not a creature was stirring... 10:52 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2001 Hehehe... Leareth, gomen nasai! It's not like it was really hard, but it still took time, and I would've finished it last night but I got a yaoi headache! Yes, a yaoi headache -- it's along the lines of an ice cream headache. No! I didn't get it writing the story, because that's not yaoi, but I was doing a more thorough read of the text story in my doujinshi and it's so intense that I couldn't write shounen-ai because of the yaoi headache. You believe me, right? I mean, everyone else reading this believes in yaoi headaches, right? Okay, now my next part of the bathrobe fic is done, and first it took some deep thought because I had to figure out the first order of business once they moved to the "new setting." Then when I sat to write (which got delayed because my twin was spending hours on my playstation, and I can't write that stuff while he's in my room), I realized I also had to figure out how they got there (it seemed just as important once I thought about it). Anyway, check yer maily-boxy. =P In other news, there is no news because I haven't been able to scan (stupid, stupid scanner, why don't you register on my computer even after I re-installed the drivers!?). And because of that, I've been put off from my layout-creating for the potential music site, so I haven't even checked if I can upload mp3's, which would save on the bandwidth usage on Audiogalaxy cause then I could send people to dl the files... Oh well... nezumi da! 01:05 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2001 Yippy-skippy, the evil!* I got my new doujinshi on Monday. The art style is pretty good by both artists (this one had a guest artist do one of the manga sections). The first one has the characters a bit too angular for my tastes and the second one definitely models from pictures in the manga. But, the first story is cute, and the last 2 stories are funny (I actually think Yuma and Saya might do somethng like that...and that "Tatsumi vs Muraki" picture still cracks me up). What, you want to see? All in good time, kids, all in good time. I have 2 others I need to scan as well, and my scanner isn't cooperating...and I can't display the HakushakuxTsuzuki sex scene anyway (sadly, Tatsumi and Tsuzuki don't have sex, and the MurakixTsuzuki sex is only in text story -- and it's really unpleasant anyway because Tsuzuki is not willing and he wishes Tatsumi could rescue him, but he doesn't and Tsuzuki dreams he's with Tatsumi when he sleeps, only to wake up to Muraki starting again. ;.; Poor Tsu-chan...Muraki's really scary in that story...). Anyway, this book had it all (except Tatsumi actually kissing Tsuzuki...they only show him looking like he's about to...darn...). But, yay! That makes 2 for 2 of the last dj's I got that have Hakushaku in them! Well, I suppose one could do without the sex, but it wasn't... oh why spoil the surprise? Suffice it to say that the artist/author has a similar sense of humor. Ho-hum...look at Audiogalaxy just eating up my bandwidth! Was it the 16th or 17th member I just added to my Yami no Matseui group today? The new person yesterday was chatty! So, that was pleasant, even if Hisoka is their fave character... Ehehehe...I'm just kidding...nobody hurt me... I'm more afraid of Hisoka fans than of Muraki fans... They're kinda like soccer moms: say one bad thing about their boy and you're toast. Hm...maybe I shouldn't have said sex so many times up there...I haven't gotten any yet, but I could be in for some strange search engine hits. I could get "evil soccer sex" or "chatty sex fans." Am I bored? No, just silly...although my evil twin is on my playstation...
Anyway, Leareth, I'd say you were
trying to be evil with the direction you're taking "that fic,"
but you succeeded, so no point saying you tried! =P It would serve you
right if I wrote the next part in either crude, thoroughly inappropriate
language, or ghastly cheap romance-novel euphemisms! Do you think Tsuzuki
might say, "Oh yeah baby, rock my world!" ?? Or maybe Tatsumi
happens to have a cupboard in his room with an interesting -- collection
(strawberry flavored? glow-in-the dark? a bunny?)... Anyway...yeah... New doujinshi...more work... and still no other writing done... *"Yippy-skippy the evil" is a story arc title for Sluggy Freelance. Is it not nifty? Worship the comic! Nezumi wa CHIIZU ga suki! 02:12 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2001 Just have to point out a few things of interest: That's all for now...more work to do, after sleep. eep 01:46 a.m. Sunday, December 9, 2001 *Whew* I've been working on the new parts of the website! They're not officially up yet, but I've got one whole doujinshi uploaded! Okay, so it's only 10 pages counting the front and back covers... Anyway, my ssihost account is finally working, and it gives me 50 megs (plenty of room for the scans) and it allows flash files (I'm getting flash button/text happy in Dreamweaver). Yeah, so once it's all done, I'm going to take down the current doujinshi section at envy and all doujinshi scans that are posted will be on ssihost (of course, I'll be taking down just about everything at envy to re-do). So, basically, there still a lot of work ahead of me. I have to resize all the dj's I already have scanned, without making them unreadable; I have to scan 2 whole new dj's (and a third coming soon, but that may have too much sex in it to post -- yeah, I'm not posting any iffy stuff on the new server); I have to decide what pictures I want in my new layouts, and scan them if necessary; I have to make the layouts; I have to upload everything. Oh, and I haven't checked yet, but if nerdcities allows mp3's, I may use my account there to post YamiMatsu mp3's. It provides 100 megs of space, which still means I can't put everything up, so I'll probably cycle the files monthly for a while (a few from OST1, a few from 2, and 1 or 2 drama tracks), then just leave up my favorites. But, that'll be more work than just uploading and linking, because I'll want to also post complete, annotated track listings (as if deciphering the kanji for the OST2 tracks wasn't hard enough). Yeah, so, more complete doujin section on ssihost, and comprehensive audio section on nerdcities (hm, I don't know if they support resuming, even if they do allow mp3), and everything else redone and staying on envy. If I'm happy with how First Cry in Hades turns out, I may finally go to get it on anipike... Okay, nothing else really of note, except that I've been watching too much BBC America lately and my cold never turned that nasty, so I'm relatively happy. Oh, and Leareth: welcome half-way
back! =P If you look in the archives, you will notice that I took note
of your b-day (I figured I should, since ICQ went to all the trouble of
reminding me). Of course, I'll revoke all Tatsumi-based priviledges, if
you don't get the next "bathrobe story" section finished soon... la souris est sous la chaise 01:13 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2001 *Whew* Well, I spent too much time on the images and figuring out Dreamweaver and everything but I finally got a new layout done for my blog... We'll see if I need to make any changes to make it work! Anyway, now it looks a little better, hopefully practice will improve things. I decided to use doujinshi images, because I have them. And, the song lyrics above aren't translated because I can't directly translate them -.-; (hey, it's poetic form, and I have enough trouble with the grammar in prose and dialogue!). Anyway, I know roughly what it means, and the bits like "ima koko de me wo somukenaide" (don't turn your eyes away from here, now) and many other lines totally suit Muraki and Tsuzuki (to my mind, but I just love Pierrot). Okay, and I added needless information. And I've only linked to Leareth-chan so far because, as far as I know, she's the only other person I communicate with regularly who has a blog. And any other webpage links can come off my webpage. Oh, and I archived the old stuff, and I'm pretty sure there's one post since you went to China, and you must read it! So there! In other news, turns out those 2 servers I signed up for that died may be okay after all! Woo-hoo! I can put up all the clean doujinshi scans! Maybe some YamiMatsu music, too! I was looking at other site in the meantime, and I was gonna try egao.com (hey, egao is Japanese for smile), but their TOS is scary! You have to be 18 just to read them! (you can go ahead, if you want) Anyway, I got a look at what my page'd look like with their ads and... *GAG* They have 2 banners on top, and a big square ad and another banner on bottom. 4 ads, 2 of them for a dating service! They killed the look of my page. Plus, I was trying flash text w/ Dreamweaver, and I can't upload swf files to their server! So, no smiles for egao! Anyway, once I get the kinks outta my neck from learning Dreamweaver and get some scanning time, my website will get a huge facelift and hopefully some new content! Otanoshimi! rat trap |
