after last week's rollercoaster, emotional ride, yesterday's date with the boy made us forget, leave it behind and moved on.

mohd has been meaning to take me to Bagus La Mian Yong Tau Foo. His fren brought him there sometime back and he knew that i would love the place. so we were there for lunch.

initially, i thought it is the typical yong tau foo that you can find anywhere on the island. but here, you have more options that the usual yong tau foo. you can choose 4 different sauces to spice up your bowl of yong tau foo. there's ampang yong tau foo (sweet & sour sauce), hakka yong tau foo (black soya sauce), laksa yong tau foo and hot & spicy. you can choose to have your yong tau foo bits with handmande noodles or mee hoon, i recommend the handmade noodles coz it's chewy and not starchy.

Mohd had the ampang yong tau foo while i had the hakka one. i prefer the ampang one coz the sweet & sour sauce is rather interesting and goes well with the fried items and handmade noodles. i got rather jelak with the black soya sauce after awhile and i tried to add a little of the sambal to kill the bland taste. thank god the sambal is not spicy. it is the sourish kind. the soup that comes along is tasty too. it is light yet you can taste the richness of the broth. i had mine with seaweed in it. yumyum.

if you have room after the yong tau foo meal, you can choose to have some of the side orders on the menu. the list of beverages is rather limited tho. they only have homemade barley, grass jelly, orange juice, calamansi juice and mineral water. but no complaints there since i love those homemade drinks.

for a bowl of 6 items and noodles will cost you $4. additional item is 50 cents each. the whole place is simple and clean. i like the fact that they use wooden stools and tables to exude that old kopitiam feel and at the same time modern. throughout our lunch, it seemed to us that the place is a hit among the chinese. probably it is just a matter of time that it'll be a hit among the malays through word of mouth etc. but then again i didnt know that many malays that really like yong tau foo. i'm not too sure abt the history of the place. mohd told me that it just opened.

Bagus La Mian Yong Tau Foo is located at Changi Road, next to Jamiyah Home for the Aged, opposite that building that houses Sakura Nana seafood restaurant. it is a short walk from darul aman mosque and makmur restaurant.

For the past week, I'm totally drained out, physically and emotionally, with the latter being the biggest culprit. Deep down inside my heart feels so heavy. I didnt go through the usual channel (letting it out to anyone) but instead I went running and I felt slightly better. It felt even better especially since it's been a couple of weeks since I last visited the gym or went running.

Thank god, this special week has kept me very busy and that's a good distraction. After much planning, Chief's big day is here, in matter of hours. I think I can only take a breather on Saturday night when it's all going to be over. I'm pretty kancheong about the actual day. Preparing the programme is already enough to get me all jittery especially since the schedule is pretty tight and I'm sort of in charge of the day's programme & schedule. Stress. I want perfection when it comes to event planning. But of course, I always leave some room for glitches and whatnots. That's normal. Important thing, everyone (well almost, hopefully) is happy. The period leading to the main event is the most fun bit and when the day comes, we know it's all worthwhile.

My mum will also be returning from umrah tomorrow morning. So that's another nice thing to look forward to. I miss her. Missed her sleeping next to me. Sleeping alone is no fun at times. Hope she managed to get those yummy jello and caramel pudding. Then there's my cousin's wedding on Sunday.

Till my next entry which probably will come next week. You have a nice weekend too.

Yes Ah!!!
Friday, June 8, 2007, 10:15 a.m.

So it's confirmed. The Cure will perform at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Aug 1. Tickets, $80,$120,$150,$180 will be on sale from next Wednesday.

That means if we are confirmed to depart to Japan on that day, then we gotta secure a flight and only depart after the much anticipated gig. I wouldnt want to miss it for the world. And when we get back, there's Brett Anderson. Sweet.

On another note, I wouldnt mind going to Christina Aguilera's concert, you know, for fun. But siape nak pegi layan aku. The tixs are way too expensive anyway.

I think I'm going to love August.

Oh, Happy 91st month sweetheart. I know we dun do this. Tak kuasa kan and I actually lost track. But, heck, just for the fun of it. Haha.

I'm feeling so bloated and couldnt sleep so I thought that I rambled a bit here. I was so caught up with Project CH that I didnt mention about me going for a short trip to Bintan with my 2 nephews during the last 3 days of May. yep, just me and them, no parental unit. Aku nak feeling MILF, anak dua. The immigration guy actually asked where was my "husband". i told him that my husband had to work.haha. And so how was it? It was pretty alright actually. most couldnt believe when I told them. They thought it's going to be a hassle but come on, some point in life you will experience it, that if you get married, have children and travel lah.

While there, it's the typical pattern that you adopt when you go on a beach/island holiday, eat, swim, eat, swim, eat, sleep. The boys love the pool so much that we were at the beach for a splash and picture taking before hitting the pool again. They love our Forest Suite and some of the other activities though some are rather disappointing and exorbitantly priced (that includes everything else). I specifically chose Bintan Lagoon Resort coz it's somehow kids friendly coz got pool mah and thats enough for the boys to let their hair down. My mum joked "jauh nah nak pegi swim,"

So yea, we enjoyed ourselves even though it rained every single afternoon. I'm trying to upload the pics from the leceh camera. I know we shouldnt have bought it in the first place. arrgh.

On another note, Brett Anderson is coming to town in aug. I checked the date and it looks good coz if we stick to the inital travel plan, we should be back in sg by then and still get to see him in action. It's been a while. The last time was too long ago.

Just now it was my very first time at the famous Rochor Beancurd stall. I am never a fan of beancurd or soya bean drink but I thought their beancurd is soft and silky. The grassjelly drink also get a thumbs up from me. The jelly bits are so chewy. Initially, I was disappointed that the butterfly bun nassar bought was cold but surprisingly, it was still soft and not that oily. the usual butterfly buns that I always buy will turn hard when they get cold. next time i wanna try the you tiao and dip it in beancurd or soya bean milk coz i see many doing that, mcm sedap. that place is damn popular ah coz it was so crowded and the queue just stay long. oh, we were undercharged. we actually paid $2 for a grassjelly drink, a bowl of beancurd and a butterfly bun. cannot be that cheap right? no complaints :P

A Massive Project for the Majestic One
Sunday, June 3, 2007, 07:11 p.m.

Project CH was successfully executed last night at Conrad Centennial Singapore. It was even sweeter when we were upgraded to the President Suite. We went crazy. The suite was damn huge, 149sqm and the view? spectacular!!! 360 degrees all around. We gotta thank Hooda's lucky stars.

We had dinner overlooking the city skyline and viewed a special presentation for the Chief, prepared by our IT expert. And before everybody got too comfy and lazy, the whole place was turned into a luxurious, glamourous clinic, accessorised with all clinical props that you can name of and of course, there was the doctor, nurses and patients. Camera rolling! Action! Endless fun and laughter. Total madness. Oh, I love our short but sweet showgiris segment too. So touching.

I hope I can get my hands of the pictures (the decent ones of course) soon. Meanwhile, we are all gearing up for the big day in 2 weeks time. Can't wait.

Now, I'm going to bed coz we are leaving to the airport at 2am later to send my mum off to umrah.
