American Idol nite...

May Day was spent at ana's.her family had kenduri arwah for her late father.before that,met up with shila and huda at tampines for window shopping.after tahlil,we stayed on for american idol.ruben was in bottom 2!!wtf...pure shit man...josh should be out.sigh...

actually,i have so many things to write about but dun feel like it so i shall end it here.

Boom,Boom night...

so i finally went to Boom Boom Room.met up with nan,shak,fiza,han and salim after werk yesterday.after dinner at newton,sent fiza to her drama workshop,went to far east plaza and chill at starbucks.didnt plan to go to boom boom at all.it was a last minute.mami helda told shak that they are doing the chicago tribute for 1 last time.i decided to go.shak called aisha up and we met up at far east square just in time to catch the gals.

we sat right at the front,at the corner though,rite in front of the bloody speakers.i swear my heart and ears hurt big time.but it was all good coz i was having so much fun.they were damn gorgeous.i think kumar was tripping last night.she made me laugh till i drop.she went on and on.shak said supposedly she should stop at 1230 but she went on till 1+.didnt like the crowd though...boring.their chicago set was awesome.i like! they were good lah...mami helda,sherry,sophie,kumar and the rest of them.

we stayed till the end and went to lau pa sat to eat and went home.fildza,ju,memek & justone picked shak up and i went home with aisha.aisha, i tell ya is one sweet gal.so cute and lovely. thanks for the lovely night girls.

My temperature this morning is 35.2

at my workplace,everybody is to have their temperature taken twice a day since monday, morning when you report to work and after lunch.mine is 35.2 this morning.the only thing i dread is the queueing up part.leceh ah...they are going to issue us a thermometer each.pls hurry.

i was very sleepy and lethargic yesterday.couldnt stop yawning.very,very bad.forced myself to study/look/see through the basic theory handbook.managed to digest some info.B called when i was about to doze off and we had a crappy conversation.dunno what crap we talked about.after all that crap, B hung up and both of us went to sleep.this morning i woke up, i laughed while recalling what had happened.i called B who was on his own way to work and asked him what was that all about.we had a good laugh talking about it.full of crap, man...

btw,is it safe to travel to malaysia now? i heard only sarawak has some SARS cases.

nan jus messaged me.good news!! he clinched the damn contract!congrats nan!i know you can make it lah, no surprise at all coz YOU ARE DAMN GOOD!!! so now, you're part of M&M family yea...in the same league as najip ali,sheikh haikel etc..i'm so proud of you.it's like a dream come true yea.i'm very excited!in no time, Imran Ajmain will be a household name...people will be singing and humming to your tunes :)All your hard work and determination had not gone down the drain. Congratulations once again!

on a serious note, i've been thinking a lot of death.it is so much encouraged by religion anyway.it's in my head every single day.the more i think about it, the harder i try to become a better Muslim.Thats why it is being encouraged coz it kinda wakes you up and you're reminded that life in this world is not forever.We tend to be too caught up with things around us,especially in these modern days.Some say death is actually a beginning of our journey to life in Hereafter.i see things differently now,little changes are happening every day.the way i see life is different from the way i saw it, say, 4 months ago.

It all started in January when B's grandma passed away.it was a wake up call for B, a strong one.From then on,B has been my constant reminder.we began discussing religion seriously like never before,our individual lifestyles changed gradually,our perceptions changed and we could feel that we've become better people from what we used to be.it's funny how things just linked to one another.It's like a bright light shining at the end of a dark tunnel and i want to stay in that light.Somehow,i could feel that the light is from Him and i'm very grateful.

now,every morning when i wake up,the first 2 words that come out from my mouth is "Alhamdullillah" and "Allahu Akbar".I'm grateful that i'm given another chance to live today so that i can still ask for His forgiveness and carry out my responsibility as a Muslim.I've sinned,made mistakes and i dun wish to repeat them again.Insya-allah.

the past week had been a busy,eventful,fulfilling one.as mentioned in my previous entry,so many things were going on.best of all,i got to spend quality time with my wonderful friends and my baby.so lovely.

yesterday evening was spent over at adla's.aunty jah was having an all ladies gathering/party for her friends and families and she invited us to perform the "sim popo bar" scene.we first put up that scene during adla's mini birthday party.it was impromptu and aunty jah actually liked it and she wanted to show it to her families and friends.

by 8pm, the apartment was already filled with arab tai-tais.good food was already being laid on the long table in the balcony.lots of good food i tell ya.lasagne,spaghetti,couscous,an arab rice dish,an arb beef dish.potato salad,cheesecake,tiramisu,blueberry and apple crumble pie and the list goes on.i really stuffed myself.juz love adla's lasagne.it was superb.

right after dinner,me,huda,shila,maggie and fiza got ourselves ready for our "big show" while the guests shake their bon bons to arabic music,dangdut,rock & roll.you should see the way we dressed ourselves up.we transformed ourselves into getai singers,dancers,hostess.maggie has to be "richard", the supposedly rich,desperate chinese man who comes to the club to have a little fun with the gals.hahaha!we tried very hard to make ourselves looked funny,corny,stupid and whatnot.well, thats the point.i just couldnt stop laughing just by looking at every one of us.the awful 80's makeup,80's clothes,feather boas,flowers..the works.

so we did our thing.it didnt turn out as planned.along the way, the whole plot just changed.we played along.well, thank god the guests did laugh though i still think that they were not really amused.yes..our set was damn corny.well, what the heck , we had lots of fun and laughter.thank you aunty jah for having us over.

after that, there was more performances, belly dancing, salsa, dangdut and rock&roll.i thought those performances by those aunties were way much better than ours.those tai tais must have thought that our performance was just mild one and they just had to show us that they were capable of something better,funnier,cornier...but it was all good.everything was nice.really,really nice.

oh,how can i forget that particular arab taitai/lady/tigeress..whatever you wanna call her? she thinks that she's in charge of the whole damn thing.she acted as if the world owes her big time.i swear she was damn rude.no courtesy at all.everything didnt seemed to look right in her eyes and she'll just started slashing out not so nice comments at anyone who was in her path.screw you,red haired tai tai...

it's been a long,tiring week.been going out every single day.so many things were going on.but it was a good,fulfilling week.i'm satisfied.thanks to all my friends and B for making it all worthwhile.now that my busy days are almost over, i shall spend more time at home to do a little catching up with my family,springclean my room(the dust is getting thicker and thicker) and pamper myself :)

Nan, You Rock My World!

nan's showcase at hard rock cafe last night was awesome.the best so far.he, together with adeep,fique & hadi blew my mind away.nan injected a little bit jazz and soul into his performance and that was refreshing.he sang beautifully.his voice was clear and almost perfect. he could even reach the highest pitch which he,himself could not ever imagine reaching.full of confidence and i knew he was proud of it.i was proud of him, we all do.oh yeah, d'kruz was so good.everything juz connected.everything was even sweeter coz it was Nan's 22nd birthday.almost everybody was there except for some.i wish huda was there but she couldnt make it coz she's sick.i wish B was there but he preferred his bed more.

on a personal note,i couldnt remember the last time i stepped into a club, got bedazzled and dizzy with all the spotlights,disco light and whatnots shining through my eyes.after the whole show, no doubt there was the dancing session.it's been a long, long time but it was nice to shake your booty with your closest friends and have a little fun once in a while.like maggie said, i've retired.hahaha...btw,i got to sweat a little so thats good.apart from all the fun and all, i took the chance to observe people.lots of questions started to cloud my head.

after hrc,nan,maggie and i made our way to lau pa sat.we had satay and happiness plate(fried chicken,fries,bun & coleslaw.on the way, Nan was telling us about his "coincidences".it was freaky but at the same time, it may be a good sign.things just seemed to link and connect.everything seemed to be planned out nicely.hhhmmmm...mungkin ada rahmat di sebaliknye.

its gonna be another busy and fun-filled day today :)

met up with Salim,Nina and Nafi after work yesterday.Sabri joined us later.It was good to see Salim again.Its been ages.He is one funny guy, love to be around him coz he makes me laugh till i drop.Most of my friends are very funny people.Thats why i love being with them.They always get me high on laughter.Love and enjoy their companionship and i hope they enjoy mine too.i'm not the funniest person on earth, mind you but i hope my presence make them happy.

Anyways, Salim showed me his Pulau Pemanggil pictures and i fell in love instantly.I really, really want to go...people...get this..for 210 bucks you get everything..food,transport and accomodation, private lagoon, bbq..so all you do is eat, sleep, bask in the sun, swim...watever....i wanna go!!!! you need at least 7 peeps to go. Pulau Pemanggil is a very laid back island,not as commercialized so the place is still at its best...on another note, mana mana beach club, bintan is having a special 3D2N package from 21st april till 19th may.so how, brown cow?

oh yeah, i need to see the dentist asap.its been years...yes years since i last seen the dentist.horrible & yucks isnt it? no, i dun have bad breath ok.saturday will be a good day.

its that time again.not much going on at work except the normal stuff.in short,i'm slacking.i've completed most of the assignments given, only currently working on the dialogue session which is being postponed to May.Boss will be attached to Istana next week.He is going after this so called personal assistant post to the President.i dunno the exact the designation.he has another guy as a competitor though.the attachment is to determine whos the best chap to take up that position.they said boss stands a very good chance of getting it.part of me wants to see boss go and take up that so called prestigious,well-paid position coz he deserves to be at the level.he's a high flyer.another part of me dun want him to go coz he already implementated so many things and it'll be difficult to follow up.the thought of his successor is another worry.who will take over? could it be that freaking tall jarrod nair? eeewww..he's stiff.dun think he talks to people.oh well,we'll see.

spent a little quality time with B last night.had cavana chicken rice for dinner and did a little shopping.i'm looking forward to the coming long weekend.i wanna do lots of stuff.

i hate the way i write nowadays.its rusty.

I jolly well knew that i wasn't that 100% interested in the very first place.i signed up juz becoz i wanna try out the product.i thought i've made myself clear in the very beginning that i'm merely trying it out and nothing more than that.we'll see how it goes from there. well, so far, it hasnt been too good, not the sales but the rate i'm moving at.been there so knew how things worked.its just not my cup of tea.i know that you are damn freaking serious abt the whole damn thing.i know you have lots of plan to make your dream come true.i admire that determination.but too bad, i dun have that and you dun have to bug and talk about it everytime you see my face.it's annoying and you know what? all i wanna do right now is to avoid you as much as possible coz i couldnt be bothered to listen to what you're gonna say.very bad, isnt it?I'm sure there are limitations, my friend.You talked like a pro but somehow,sumwhere...there is a gap and you need ethics to fill it up.I respect you for who you are, your hopes and dreams and i hope that all your hard work will pay off and may your dreams come true.As for me,i'm contented with everything rite now.we'll see how it goes.

i'm feeling so,so good.it had been a wonderful,fun weekend,an all ladies weekend.it was perfect.so much fun especially last night where i think we gave adla the shock of her life.me,huda,shila,fiza,maggie & ana "trespassed" her house, courtesy of aliyah who hid the house keys in the box outside their apartment.we all hid in her bedroom,"armed" with the birthday cake.we were contemplating whether to hide in the kitchen or bedroom.we chose the bedroom which was a perfect choice.you should see adla's face when she opened the door.The moment she opened the door, she was startled and immediately closed the door,leaving us with no chance to shout "Surprise".well,we managed to finally when she entered the room.She thought there were thieves in her room.paranoia...hahaha.We then had nari briyani and couscous, an arab dish for dinner plus great tasting chocolate from frankfurt, courtesy of ana.

right after dinner,auntie jah got us into belly dancing to great arab music.aliyah was damn good.you should see the way she moved and all.perfect.really talented young gal.me and maggie were trying to recall the steps we learnt in the basic belly dancing course we enrolled last year.it's been quite some time so we were kinda rusty.aliyah intends to set up a belly dancing class.i'll be the first one to join.after so much dancing and perspiring,we did our very own version of american idol.very,very funny.there were lots of laughter,vanilla coke,chips and cheese cake.we almost lose our voices at the end of it.we then cooled ourselves down with creamy cocktail dessert while watching cheesy arabic music videos.i wish we can just go on dancing the whole night long, a good,clean gals party with such warm hospitality from auntie jah,aliyah and adla.very,very nice.wish we can do it again.oh did i mention how much i love adla's home.very warm and soothing,with that moroccan/mediterrenean/middle eastern feel.so can you imagine belly dancing in that kind ambience? mind-blowing...

went home straight after work this afternoon to help mum with the cooking and all for whai peng's gathering.so there were lots of cutting, slicing, frying,stirring,washing and whatnot.i hope she and her friends enjoy my mum's cooking.after the long tiring afternoon,i just need to be outdoor so met up with huda, shila, fiza,pah and anna at bugis.yes, just us ladies.it was fun,just us ladies.had dinner,did a little window shopping and finally settled down at starbucks for coffee and girls talk.bugis was so crowded coz there;s this NKF charity show going on there.channel 8 celebrities doing stunts and all for charity.huda, shila and i did our very own malay version of charity show.boy,did we talk crap and all but it was pure fun and hilarious.huda said sumthing like "untuk donate, sila telefon 1900 Macdonalds.." wtf...doesnt make sense at all rite...but we went on and on.it was a good laugh.btw,so good to see ana again, looking good and all.seldom get to see that gal coz most of the time she 's busy werking,flying around the globe.she just came back from frankfurt.but the airline business is not doing so good now and she grumbled at the thought of not flying till the end of the month.thats bad.anyway,i'm glad she's doing allrite ever since her dad's departure,though i heard afny, her younger sis wasnt taking it too well in the beginning.i guess it takes a little time to accept the lost of a loved one.oh yea, shila, another person who i seldom get to meet, provided us with details, bits and pieces about this new guy she is seeing.coincidentally, pah also know the guy and the list went on.what a small world.i was glad to be out with the gals..it was really,really nice.we;ve told ourselves that we need to chill together at least once a month, just as ladies.we can get high on food,coffee and endless laughter...nice, nice
