Little updates on little issues...
Another change in our travel plans. The Japan trip will be brought forward to August and we are not attending Summersonic coz the lineup is not that interesting. August seems to be soooo far away and for those of you who know me, that period is way too long for me, surviving without a holiday. My last trip out of the country was in Dec 2006. You know how I will get restless and eventually fall "sick". But I need to be extra disciplined in the finance department. But if really I cannot tahan, maybe I'll go for a short trip in June. Juz read Is' entry on her recent trip to Bintan. I used to go there every year since 2001. The last trip was in 2004. Maybe I should hop on the 45 min ferry ride and immerse myself in a well deserved break. Did I mention that August is soo far away?
Apart from being busy planning holidays, Project CH is also in the works. This one gotta be extra special coz it's for a special someone who will also be stepping down from her current post. Just planning it already got us so excited, what more executing it.
A little breather from all the madness may come next week. Mohd gotta clear his leave and that leaves us some room for qualiy time. Maybe I should regard it as a little local holiday so that I won't be feeling too sore.
I'm planning to go to the Living Under the Crescent Moon exhibition again. When I left the exhibition the other day, I wanted more. Thought that it was too small scaled and there's room to include more. Everytime, we read or saw pics of the beautiful places featured, we looked at each other, grinned and told each other that we must go there some day. The Middle East always intrigued us especially more for him. Some day, we'll be there. That reminds me to go and register ourselves for that lecture on Sufism in May.
One last issue before I end this entry and get on with other things (I'm busy, remember?:P) IKEA is charging up to 10 cents for each of their plastic bags. I thought it was a good move especially since the money will be channeled for a good cause and not for their own profit. But still, being the true blue Singaporeans, many seem to be taking it negatively. Anything must pay sure dun like want. I've always use a shopping bag whenever I go marketing. At times, in the absence of a shopping bag, I dump everything into my bag (the reason why I love bigs bags) except for some instances. In Stockholm, the supermarkets have always been charging a fee for their plastic bags. I remembered us trying to dump everything into a few bags as possible. I did grumble coz I dunno where that extra fee goes to. I've told Haris and Ron to bring those reusable shopping bags next time. So people, bring your own shopping bags alright and help to save the environment

So we are not going to Perhentian Island next month. We are very disappointed of course. Since Mohd can't make it for the Japan trip in June either, I told him to be patient and we'll scoot off in August. If everything goes as planned, we may also pay my sis,Nora and the lastest addition to the family at the end of the year with my parents.
Those are this year's tentative travel plans. I'm not putting high hopes this time coz I foresee there may be changes in the second half of the year. We may need to give way to something else and should it materialise, it is NOT how we've wanted it to be. It is something I've been looking forward to and it is a noble thing but again it is not how we wanted it to be. But due to circumstances, we have no other options. I'm trying to think positive and instill lots of patience. It is not easy because to start with, I have several major reservations, which to some may sound childish and selfish. But I'm going through it anyway and pray hard that it is not the wrong move and that I'll neither be disappointed nor regretted my decision.
