back to school sure is enjoyable than army... but the fact that i have homework to do now after 2 and half years is really daunting. Gotta do research on Industrialsation and the changes of gender roles for my Industrial Design class. Thank goodness i have one lecture today only. Thank God i dun feel sickish anymore.... those last 2 weeks were crazy.. gastric flu is no fun..

Its nice to know that my friends are turning 21. went for QZ's bday on saturday and boy, Singapore is such a small place. Everyone seemed to know each other... the guys mostly through army..haha. I have already started my plan of my grand 21 bday celebration. I din have many birthday celebrations ever in the past so it makes sense to do one when i'm 21. but alas, 12 Nov has always been the exam period, O levels, A level and now in Uni , i shall once again postpone my bday till after that:) at least thats something to look out for....... on a sadder note, my scooter has been vandalised again.. i guess people really hate pink scooters. Looks like i have to save up for a major cosmetic reconstruction and going to Thailand to buy vintage parts. I had just paid up for my insurance and road tax so my pockets kinda empty right now... i got myself thinking.. how can anyone afford mountain bikes when those things cost more than twice what i paid for my Vespa:) then again so is my laptop haha.

Seems like i haven't updated this in ages... I was down with gastric flu again on monday and it really attacks you 3 ways, diarroheoa, vomitting and the of course the fever. I was like a walking zombie in school as Marcus would attest to. Tutorials have started this week and it is really interesting to see the different mix of people in my classes...that also means gotta start reading already! Pension State has started to jam with Marcus now joing us on guitar..that will really rock.. We're writing new songs and fine tuning for the NZ/singapore compilation that we are contributing.. (hopefully we'll get picked). So heres to the flu and rock..
Wednesday, August 1, 2001 02:20 p.m. gastric flu
man.. what an eventful weekend... so much happed that i nearly forgotton what i did.. all thanks to this gastric flu. One thing about the flu is that it is an all out attack on your body system, i had vomiting, high fever, migraine all in one.. sure makes you feel like shit. Whats worse, i got it on my ORD DAY!!! suppose to celebrate with marcus...but oh well. Travis and coldplay were okay... but indoor stadium still sucks as a concert venue. Now for my school i have to worry about getting the General Education Modules ... i dun wanna end up doing THE WORLD OF SCIENCE!
Friday, July 27, 2001 08:42 a.m. countdown....
I'm real excited for the weekend! First off on saturday, i will be going back to my junior college for a dinner thingee, should be fun checking up with friends. Then on Sunday, its none other than COLD PLAY and TRAVIS... besides the fact that it is my ORD DAY! 2 Years and 4 Mths is a long time, but the best thing about it is most of my pals went in the same day and we're coming out the same date as well. Army has been bittersweet, all those worries of being punished only served to made me numb, bad people in there makes you appreciate the few nice people you come across, REALITY SUCKs when you realise the politiking to get the regulars up for Promotion.Being the ONLY 3SG who is a NSF is no Fun... being the walking Arrow DArt board. There were so much good things that happened in NS to me.. first of was my injury that led me to a more relax camp... where i did a majority of events...done them all (emcee, DJ, fun fair, even write a bloody 2500 word essay on Globalisation for my Captain's promotion to Major! Cheap Labor!). There were lots of friendships fostered and best of all.. they were suckers to send me for driving course free !! At least i got a free Class 3 driving liscense, and plenty of mileage using SAF vehicles to learn the roads :) Called up the clerk at the office and he said my PINK IC is already in their safe... and Monday will i a Civilian make .... ORD LO!
Thursday, July 26, 2001 09:26 a.m. Fitness regime
Spent the whole of yesterday pillioning Symon around town. He is finally on leave officially eased from his duties of the Singapore Combat Engineers! YAY! all my mates are coming out from the bondage and torture of... Anyway, i have been slacking too much, working, eating and i really have to start on working out. All thanks to Jason NAH, who is working in California Fitness centre.. and SYmon.. i will be going for a jog soon at Clementi Stadium...gotta get that metabolism going.
Monday, July 23, 2001 08:28 a.m. sunday sweetness...
what a day it was yesterday...slept only 5 hours after zouk but woke up early for church and later worked at the cafe ...my body aches and i think i'm getting a flu. Marcus cheered me up a little when he messaged me that we have 8 more days to ORD! actually 7 for me cos i enlisted in the army a day earlier than him..haha. my nice bosses at the cafe bought a loaf of apple strudel and had a fun time, Wendy baked us sweet potatoes... and for 2 consecutive sundays i had sweet potatoes..can feel that fibre in ya. Not exactly looking forward to the orientation for the freshmen as i forsee boring talks but what to do....

Did i just woke up in a dream that there were Exodus amount of people jumping and crashing into each other to the straids of PLAIN SUNSET in ZOUK last nite... oh yes it true... FISH TANK and the PSetters really did rock out the party...as in the words of JON Chan the singer.. the EMO kids were in ZOUK last nite.It was like a reunion of some sort, met school friends, long lost friends, and enemies :). It was one of the best nites in my whole life especially seeing so many familiar faces in the local music scene gather after so long. Keep a eye for them (the bands) on Channel 5's Music Walk. Too bad i had to leave at 1.15am, thats why i'm up at 6.30am entering this before i go to church and take on the 4 year old Sunday School kids... so later.

The thing about having holidays is that you always forget to do the stuff you had planned for the holidays you should be having.... well spent the day doing the music label stuff. Really happy to see my pals in the papers today, Plain Sunset and Fishtank!! We had to send all their CDs to HMV, Tower and Vivamusic today for the CD launch. It snice to meet so many of the music store staff that we looking forward to the local bands' releases, makes all of the band's hard work so worth it. While met up with Marcus in the evening to watch MOULIN ROUGE.... Finally!! it was so so rad... EMO... haha.. kudos to the guys who fitted in POLICE, QUEEN into the songs!! Bahz must have been in a pub getting drunk with some bollywood guy when he wrote the script.

My first 5 choices are Sociology, History, South East Asian Studies, Infocomm and Geography... hope i get em all. gonna go off to work later at the garage cafe ..can't wait for Zouk this saturday... Wednesday, July 18, 2001 11:49 p.m. Matric Madness
YAy! Today was my official matriculation into NUS, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. And boy what madness it was.... like queing for Hello Kitty but being forced to do it. It was cool to have a look at all the future schoolmates that i will be seeing all the time. Bought a school financed Toshiba Laptop and i can't wait to get my hands on it! Looks like i joined all the ECAs that are damn lobo... the Jazz Band to practice my saxophone, Orignal Music Society to organise local gigs... and the Travel Club to Travel!! But before i can get to all this , i will have to worry about the online module registration thingy that i would have to take.. and worry in front of my PC...sianz...
Monday, July 16, 2001 11:46 p.m.
Turned up for talks in NUS this morning, got in late and it was so packed!and the rumours of my faculty girls to guy ratio is true!! 7 to 1 guy... rock and roll man. Lucky i have a buddy to hang around NUS with in marcus wong of the band Chocolate Tiger..I forsee many jam sessions in his student room at the school condo. other than that it was cool congratulating all the army friends that i know thru NS that we are finally out! talk about male bonding.. its the guys waking around with huge smiles. Later in the afternoon i went down to LORGANS THE RETRO STORE, with Irving and wendy. Lorgan's has some really cool rerto furniture thats very rad, and i fell in love with the Apollo Chair and the Vintage DIgit Clocks... if i only have the cash... Scoot on down the evening to the stadium to watch POol beat Singa 2-0, but really encouraged that Team Singapore played well... i had seen worst days...
Sunday, July 15, 2001 11:48 p.m.
A bit jaded that i can't make it for Sub-C. Heard that the gig went on pretty well despite the early heavy downpour. I am also working sundays but thats alright. YAY! i will be going for talks on my NUS course tomorrow with Marcus, really excited that school term is starting.other than that, there's always the Liverpool game that i will be going to with the GARAGE team!! Irving my boss was at Hard Rock Cafe and i heard it was pandemonium... MOB man.. crazy guys..well at least they make more sense and play better than Hello Kitties.
Sunday, July 15, 2001 01:42 a.m. pensionstaters unite!
Today at the garage was fun. not only was it a busy day, but Terence from my band came to help out at the cafe! At least i am doing something before skool starts. I still have not made up my mind about the Modules i would have to take but i sure hope the people will be fun in NUS. After 2 and a 1/2 years in the worst ever working conditions in the army, its about time to work with real people! I haven;t got my vespa done up yet though... some bastard reversed his car and knocked my scoot over damaging its thottle and concealed it. I swear i would never park in that lot again. I wanna go up to Bangkok this September to get accessories for my scoot... SO many things to do! finally i can do the things i love.. Goodbye army...
Wednesday, July 11, 2001 12:21 a.m. Confusion confusion...
got my matriculation package from NUS. ITs a big headache reading all that fine print.. an even more pain in the neck going through the reviews to the new ARTS And Social Sciences revamp... guess i will have to wait for next week till we go for the talks. I still haven got my HALL acceptence... sianz... Working in the Garage Cafe has been fun... my bosses are really nice.. can't wait for schol to start though and that COLDPLAY CONCERT!!
