2001 has been a good year. Of course coming out of army July 2001 is the start of it, but really enjoying adjusting back to academia, being able to know so many good people and friends in school is just fantastic. Coupled with their zeal and passion to study and have fun is just so amazing. People are indeed to most tangible blessings that one can have... real people that is. And what a way to end to year but having good results for my exams. amidst all my pessimistic friends, i have this gut feeling that 2002 will be a great year for me. I dunno why.. but it just feels good. so good that i spent the early hours after new years partying and walk home from Orchard to Clementi! It took 2 and a half hours to get home but the weather was just so cool, the stars were there and the moonlight real bright. what a way to start the new year. If you are reading this... Wish you new year blessings!

Christmas dreams of riding my Vespa decked up with Mistotle and Red ribbons are dashed! my engine was choked and i was stucked in the middle of nowhere, thnakfully before entering the expressway. Friday nite plans of hanging out with friends are subsituted with an early bus ride home with myself still reaking of 2T smoke and engine oil. My scooter has to be the worse date i have ever gone out with, at least she's kinda predictable unlike those in skirts. Funny thing i didnt curse and swore or kicked my feet on the kickstart lever like the last time), tis holiday season mood is finally sinking into me, with the wet monsoon season all... time to get comfy and cosy. at least i could take comfort in the packed events leading up to Christmas. Much better than last year when i was stuck in the army on Christmas eve. Dun you love the carefree lingering in supermarket aisles enjoying the cool breeze and piped christmas carols. they do make me happier.

Haven't been updating this site in a long time. Well it has been great fun these holidays of mine. Unlike the school holidays during JC days where we gotta go back for extra lessons and the days seem to gallop away so fast, these hols seem to be perfect in rhythm and taking each day as it is just... so awesome! Pensionstate too has been having so much fun playing gigs and small shows alike.Beer sessions at Baden baden have also depleted my bank account below sea level, along with my scooter repairs. Looks like i gotta pray i get that job i applied for cos my road tax needs renewing. bummer.

Back home after a nice 4 days spent in a wonderful resort in Malacca. We got an awesome deal with a 2 bedroom apartment suite shared by only 4 people. Apart from that i really enjoyed not having my handphone or computer around. Looks like the Pension State gig at the Youth Park has been brought to next sunday rather than tis sat (15th), its been a while since we are so blessed with gigs to play! Rock!

Tonight's show at the Substation was great! So many new kids, tight bands and a great job done by the NUS original Music Society. i'll be off to malacca for 4 days on a youth group church camp, hence updating will resume upon connection to cyberspace. Thanks to you guys for coming and supporting Pension State! and mad props to Meltgsnow and Rudra for putting up a tight and Metal Madness!

Holidays are fun when you have so many things going on. but this is the first time i have ever wished that the school term will start soon. Something irks me everytime i walk down Orchard Road, it is not only the commercialisation of Christmas decorations, nor is it that teenage girl that wore a silver tube top with the nipple patch sticking out (i swallowed my tongue for a moment in disgust); or maybe it is the thought of finally being 21 sinking in. It's funny how being the only male grandchild in the family, much is expected from me just because of me finally being an adult. My grandparents are bugging me when i am gonna get married, my Dad is pissed with my spending habits (saving on that tranformer toy for my marriage fund)! The thought of it really freaked me out! after all i have just finished my army obligations, just got into university and suddenly find myself neither here nor there. i guess it is this stranglehold that prevents Singaporeans from achieving what their heart really wants, damn, is it tiring after mugging for O's, A's and now in uni and all my earthly possessions are just my vespa scooter, my CD collection. And those dreams (like travelling outta here)waiting to be fulfilled at the back of my head.
