Well... since pitas.com decided to crash last week-ish, I lost my big entry about my Honour Choir weekend at Camp Caroline. Fuckity fuck fuck (and other such obsenities).

At any rate... I just got back from Edmonton for the second installment of the Alberta Honour Choir. Yay! ^_^; I'm actually really sad that it's all over. I mean, the chances of me actually seeing any of these people again? Pretty bad... Unless Izzy and Paige stay in Lethbridge after high school... but I'm getting side-tracked already.

The weekend began horrible. As do most weekends that include 6 hour car rides, one way... >_<; Mom was running behind as usual and so we didn't pick Dad up and DRDC until really late... and thus didn't get to Edmonton til 11:40pm. And I had to go register at the Alberta College at 9 am. >__<;; Not so great. And our room was tiny. The suppossed queen sized bed were just barely double beds... yeah... But we were really too tired to care. Dad talked to the lady at the desk the next morning and we got the "Family Room" instead. Which was *much* nicer. Anyways, I got up, ate the complimentary breakfast buffet... cheap ass hotel... and walked (with Dad) to the College.

Found our way around pretty easily. Found people I recognized and it was all good. Rehearsal went as rehearsals go. The new conductor was different. But not bad different. Just different different. Yeah... ^_^;; It's been a long day.

We had to have supper on our own that day so the soprano Jenn (from Edmonton) said a bunch of people were going to Boston Pizza for supper and who wanted to tag along so she could make a reservation. So about 30 of us headed over there (keeping in mind that's 30 out of a choir of 89). Russ was an Edmontonian (is that even right?) too so he lead us over there. By 'us' I mean: Me, Shauna, Izzy (Elizabeth) and Matthew. Great fun. We got to walk through a picket line! ^_^ People from the A-Channel were on strike. Yay. Aanyways, so we shared a booth at BP's and found out that we couldn't split our check up cause it would crash the system if they did it for all of us. So we got a table check. Yeah... only problem was Russ had is parent's credit card and no cash. Problem solved, he paid we split the bill up and paid him back. ^_^ Anyways, there is (of course) the great BP's story...

Shauna (at lunchtime) was talking about how Erin should come with us to BP's (but she went with her mom instead) because there was going to be an orgy. ^_^;;; Don't ask me where she got that from, cause I have *no* clue. Anyways, Matthew was trying make it all sound less dirty and it didn't work at all. Twas quite amusing. So when we got to BP's we kept making bad jokes... naturally. And when it was dessert time, we ordered this chocolately cake thing to split up... Holy crap was it good! Russ was like: "I think the 3 women at this table about to orgasm." Cause we were so crazy about this cake. So Matthew had to try some too. *snerks* He took a bite and the just stared at it. And then took another bite. ^_^ It was great. So on the way back to rehearsal we joked that the cake was the infamous BP's orgy. And Shauna called her boyfriend (Josh) who lives in Edmonton and told him she was almost going to leave him for the cake. She also tried to muss Matthew's hair us so it would look like he had sex hair. Thus the cake became dubbed, "The Better than Sex Cake". ^_____^ Good times.

Then we rehearsed some more and went to the University/College Honour Choir concert. But 2 Jazz groups sang before them. They were all really good, but the University choir had really similar music... so it got boring... and they sang for about an hour... -_-;;;

Day 2 was fun too. It went by so fast. We rehearsed and then had dress rehearsal. And then basically performed (after lunch of course). The Children's Honour Choir sang before us... they were good too. And then it was all over. But the *best* part... Remember Jeremy? That tenor who auditioned for the "Log Driver's Waltz" solo? In falseto? And he hit the high "D"? Diane (the conductor) let him do the second solo in that piece for performance. Only, it looked like this other girl was singing.. and then he pushed her out of the way! ^_^;; Twas *so* funny. Oh.. it made my life.

So then I got people's e-mail addresses and signed Finley's music folder (cause he wanted everyone to) and changed and it was over. ;__;

We had to hand in our music... *cries* *gets over it* Cause I scanned them all before we left! Mwahahaha! Fear my illegal acts. ^_^; As we were handing them in Matthew said, "I feel like I'm losing part of my childhood." Just to be completely random. ^_^;; I love that kid. He also said he doesn't like people calling him "Matt" cause it gives them an excuse to walk all over him. *grins* It took Shauna about 20 seconds too many to get that it was a joke. ^_^

On the down side, I never got to know Chris or Andrew (the two hot guys from last time)... but I have decided that I think Andrew's an ass. Cause he's got attitude/ego that could fill up the College... >_< Anyways, not too sad about that.

After the concert I wanted to go to Whyte Ave and stuff to get manga, but Warp was only open til 5 (and it was 4:30). But we went for supper (The Keg) and then to Chapters down the street. And I conned Mom into buying me Volumes 1 & 2 of this manga called "Rebirth". Tis about a vampire who gets sealed away and then resurrected 300 years later. Yay. The art is cool. And it fucks up the traditional good and evil thing! ^_^ It's great. One of my fav. lil lines is "Dark [magic] and evil aren't synonyms." ^_^ Tis great.

Then I studied for my Physics test... cause it's tomorrow.... CRAP! >_<;; BLAAAAAH~~~! I dun wanna write it. I guess I should study more soon... and the trip home was boring.. but full of sugar. Yeah.

So now, I am off to study and write some of my English essay. Woot. NOT! >_<

[Edit]: On a completely *random* note, there was this hair place downtown Edmonton called "Pharaoh's Hair". *snerks* Made me think of Yami (from YGO) it did. ^____^;; Kay... I'm a dork... Later...
