*smirks* Aaanyways... since yesterday was the last Saturday of the summer *sobs* Andrea and I decided we needed to do something. So we went to Ruckers and played Dance Dance Revolution. ^_____^ It was *sooo* fun. And it's addicting. ^_^ Badly addicting. And we managed to get showed up by an 8 year old and this other guy who must've been playing it for months. But we had a blast!
And the we had an Ice Cap at Timmy's. And A bought a binder at Staples. And we hung out here for a while. Went to McDonalds with my family. Then hung out a A's til midnight. ^_^ And she beat Kingdom Hearts~! ^_^ The ending rocked my socks! And Cloud and Aerith *finally* got to meet/be reunited! It was *soooo* cute. ^_____^ It totally made my day. And since A did all the sidequesty stuff, we got to see the special secret ending/trailer for KH2! I'd seen it already (aah, the awesome powers of Kazaa) but it was about 20 times cooler on a TV. ^___^ Yeah. We had a great night...
Now I've got to go read some X/1999 manga... and the Blue Monday graphic novel... ^____________^

Can someone please explain to me why parents have this uncontrollable need to be in control of every aspect of their children's lives? GAH~! I hate it! >____<
So Stephen was over again. We're joking around and watching tennis (James Blake = HOT! And he's got dreadlocks ^_^;;;). Everything's all fine and dandy. Until Jaime comes back. Yeah. Saw that coming now didn't you. So she plops herself down on the couch. Now she isn't known for having the highest Stephen-tolerance. Which amusing me greatly. I mean, all Stephen has to do is take one or two steps closer to her and she starts. "Get away from me Stephen! Leave me alone." Which is all fun and games. Until dad decides he has to get involved.
So he comes in and tells Stephen to stop whatever he's doing. Keep in mind said friend is still about eight feet from said annoying sibling. Naturally, I defend Stephen. Telling dad that he's doing nothing wrong. Then dad decides that it doesn't matter what I think, Jaime's 'uncomfortable'. Bullshit. Jaime's just being a pain in the ass. So I tell dad so; only not quite like that. More like Jaime's just intolerant and no I won't be quiet and not talk back to you. Which pisses dad off. Apparently I have to be a sheep and follow him and his beliefs blindly otherwise it's considered insubordination. I say it again - bullshit.
Dad's pissed. And he demands that I apologize. I - of course - refuse. So dad ushers Stephen out of the house and tells me we need to talk. *rolls eyes* Don't you hate that? When parents say, "We're going to have a chat," or other equally stupid ways of phrasing, "You've stepped out of line BITCH!" Well, maybe not *quite* that... but whatever, I'm pissed so I'm allowed to be slightly irrational. Anyways, he rants on about this and that and how he's right. And I counter. So he tells me that this isn't a debate, this is the way it is, so deal with it. *kicks the wall* Then he tells me how he gave me a chance to apologize and then Stephen could've stayed. Oooh... look! Guilt! What an overly used tatic. I'm not buying it. So I tell him, "I'd rather be punished irrationally like this then apologize for something I'm not sorry for." And yes, that *is* a direct quote. And no, I'm not sorry. Sorry Stephen had to be kicked out so rudely - yes. Sorry I stood up for him because my little sister is an intolerant, whiny bitch - no. Never.
And here I am now, ranting. Lucky me. I need sugar and caffeine and some good slash right about now... *goes off to read some slash and webcomics*

He's like 6 foot 2 or something stupid like that. He has red hair and blue/grey eyes. *drools* He likes to wear blacks most of the time (Cause he believes - like Kyely - that gray is too much color ^_^). Sometimes he does wear grays, but they're usually hidden by his sexay cloak! ^_^
5. Where did the idea for him/her come from:
Well, a while ago I was attempting to draw Dart from Legend of Dragoon and it wasn't working, so I made him my own character. Who turned into our stereotypical blonde-hair, knight bishie (Alayn). Then I figured I needed more fantasy stereotypes. Thus I drew a stoic character. Lance. And I gave him red hair for the hell of it. ^_^
6. Is he/she a popular character:
Heh. What a fun question. Bluntly. No. He's not liked by his fellow fantasy stereotypes. He's cocky and stubborn as hell. He fights with Alayn a lot and seems to tear the group apart once he enters it. Oh he's great. I love him. As everyone 'gets to know him better' he becomes more tolerable. Oh yeah. You'll see. The fangirls like him *pokes A* The fangirls also like to call him Spear or Javelin because his name is Lance and his weapon is a spear and it's a horrible (and unintentional) pun. *pokes A AND C*

Oh yes, Lancey has a theme song... it just depends on which one you want to use.

*laughs insanely* Ooh yes... he and Alayn are the main/canon coupling. Shounen-ai for everyone! *throws flowers and hands out cookies* ^____^;;; He also prolly had a lil thingie with Raven at some point. As one-sided as it was. Lance is a heartbreaker. ^_^
9. How do you feel this character has developed over time:
*scoffs* Over time? I've barely had him for half a year. He had no real character when I drew him and my story had no plot til Andrea forced me to talk about it in Canmore on Band Tour. And that was in March. Well... actually, he has grown. I'm far more comfortable with him then I was before I started. And I figured out (with mucho help from A *glomps her*) his whole death-but-not-really thingie. And as I write more, I think I'm going to like where he's headed... if all goes as planned. But it prolly won't. ^_^;;;

Aaanyways, I've been back since the 16th of August. Just been too lazy/busy to blog. Yeah.
I got to go to Scandia with Andrea, C and Daniel. Twas much fun. Video games and movies. ^_^ Life is good. Yeah. I haven't really done much exciting or anything. Except spend far too much money whilst on vacation. ^_^ But I did come back with a Tokyo Babylon DVD and a bunch of CD's. So all is not lost.
Had A's 'month-a-versary' last night. Since her b-day was a month ago yesterday. ^_^ Went to Kelsey's (where I *didn't* order a hamburger thank you very much) and then to Swirls. Then watched bad/cheesy/foreign vampire movies. Chinese and French to be exact. ^___^;;;; Aaah... sub-titled goodness.
Haven't done *too* much in the way of writing. Wrote chapter 2 of my YGO ficcie whislt in Halifax and sent it to mah wonderful beta. ^_^ She's the best. I want to get chapter 3 on the go before I even *consider* posting. Plus, I don't really want to enter the fandom with an epic. Maybe I'll post some of the one-shots that are floating around in my head. That would work and get me a little bit of exposure. ^_^ I need to know more people in that fandom... >_<;;;
I *should* be writing my canon, and I have been a bit inspired to, just haven't gotten around to it. ^_^;;;; Slash is *damn* distracting. Especially good slash.
And school's starting too soon. *cries* I dun wanna go back. *sniffles* Yeah. And with the new timetable, it's gonna be craptacular. A 20 minute TA? What kind of bullshit is that? >_____< I'm writing a letter when the 'review' the process in Feb. Oh yes I am... and mom is too... *cracks knuckles*

Riiiight. Now that that's out of the way. I'm going on vacation. I'm excited, but nervous cause I dun like flying. It scares me. But that's why we got me anti-anxiety drugs. Yay! I hope they work. I really don't like flying. >_< Aaanyways. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Jaime's been puking all day. It's horrible. I hope she's better so we can fly without too much hassel tomorrow. *cringes* My two least favorite things. Flying and throwing up. Ick.
My beta is the best! *glomps her* I finished chapter one of my YGO story the other day and she's all proofing it and helping me come up with titles and stuff. She's the best. ^_^ I've printed out all my works-in-progress and so I can work on them whilst I'm away. ^_____^ I'm actually going to get quality writing time! How lucky! (Except, at my Aunt's house her laptop is in the room I'm staying in... so how much am I actually going to get done? Prolly not much. I don't have to go through slash withdrawl yay!)

Right. Now for my question. I've been having the *weirdest* plot-bunnies pop up in my head. Yu-Gi-Oh plot-bunnies to be exact. And I *really* want to write lots of things (I know I have other stuff to finish. I'll work on them too, promise). But you see, I'm not very familiar with the fandom/character/story at all. I've read *way* too many fanfictions and watched a handful of espisodes so I don't have much confidence in my ability to write for this fandom. So I'm requesting a Beta reader!
The Beta shouldn't be (preferrably) one of my friends - cept for Dan you guys know nothing about the series either ^_^;; Sorry! But you must be willing to help me write a good story. Meaning you need to be more familiar then me about the YGO universe and has hopefully written a few stories. Uhm... I love slash/shounen-ai/yaoi and stuff, so you must be willing to beta for those kinds of pairings (Yami/Yugi, Ryou/Bakura, Seto/Jou, etc).

Aaanyways. I've successfully completed the second and third modules of CALM (3rd one handed in today). Now I have the evil first module to do (I'm about a quater of the way through) and then I can write the exam and never have to do it again! YAY! Stupid stupid CALM! *kills it* I hate it. But I got 90% on the second module. And I - for some completely unknown reason - get the extra credit for doing the maditory portfolio for the end of the second module. I'm confused but not complaining. Yup. Take that!
Right. So. Andrea's gone now. I'm sad. She comes back when we're gone. Blah. But we *did* go see the Theatrics production today! Yay! It was funny. I got to see a lot of kids I knew from the last camps. It made me miss camp *sooo* much. And it made me feel old. >_<

Bakura liked to curse and rant at every machine and technological use that didn’t work correctly before releasing his fury on it. He had already broke the TV twice, discombobulated the stove, and busted the phone. Ryou was just grateful he decided not to damage the computer.

Well, we *are* back... as is my lovely computer. They've finally found the problem (they think). There was an error on one of the memory chips on the harddrive. So they fixed it. We hope... *crosses fingers and prays to the computer gods*

Oooh.... where to start? How about the Dropkick Murphey's? Oooooooooiii.. They were good. I probably would have enjoyed them more had I not been trying to get out of the mosh pits (yes pitS as in PURAL) with my life (and my T-shirt.... -__-;;). Yes, their fans were incredibly loyal people who had too much time on their hands. Making all those flags and banners - which were very good though. And they all were incredibly drunk. Fuun. I wonder how they left the cage being so intoxicated? Hmmm...
And then there was Tsunami Bomb (this isn't the order of the concert I know... I'm listing them in order I remember them... ^_^). They were excellent! And they had a *female* lead singer! YAY!! She had very cool hair. I need to go listen to my punk CD's...
Who else? Oooh! The Ataris! Whom we missed the first 10 minutes of. And then ran through the mud trying to get to the stage they were at. Oooi... my shoes will never be black again. ^_^;;; They played San Dimas High School Football Rules so all was right with the world. And they brought up a 'guest guitarist' to play that song with them. It was mucho cool!
Oooh.. and lets not forget the most commercial band there! Simple Plan~! Heh. They were fun to watch. Just cause (as A said) it sounds like the lead singer finally hit puberty! People threw bottles of water and pop at them, along with the odd shoe, sweater, hat, clump of mud... Yeah. It was all good. Their guitarist knew what was going on. The lead singer had noooo clue! Twas amusing.
Less than Jake rocked *everyones* socks. With the exception of the guy who got dragged out from the crowd because he was using a video camera. Whoops... ^_^;;; Aaanyways, they were amazing. And had trombones and saxophones!!! ^_^ That made my day. And they played History of a Boring Town with was the only song I knew. I was very happy and fangirly~!
But let's not forget the *best* show of the *entire* day. Bowling for Soup~!!! They were frickin hilarious! I've downloaded 3 of their songs now. They were one of the few bands that was actually *funny*. Like they were talking about how much Eastern Canada (fucking) sucked. And then their PA system blew. So they did 'intermission music' and... dancing... if you can call it that. Then when everything worked again the lead singer said.. "Man, you talk all this shit about Toronto and the PA system gets SARS!" ^______________^ They were great~! They did covers of songs (Complicated, I Hear You Calling, I Wanna Be Sedated) and taught us a valuble lesson on what song never to boo. You all know what I'm talking about. ^_^
So then after a day of shopping and getting lost I came home from Calgary with:

~ A Tsunami Bomb shirt and an orange (autographed) Warped Tour shirt
~ 6 Punk CD's (for only $10 ^_^)
~ Two Cowboby Bebop mangas
~ an Old Navy shirt for my sister
~ a very cool bracelet from that very cool bead store
~ and a serious case of sleep deprivation!
Lotsa fun. I loved it. I'm sooo going back next year. ^_^
