Hmmm... Diddly.
I'm going through that "hmm, that looks a lot like..." phase. Although, technically, I can't remember a time when I wasn't like that, although I did try to force myself to stop recently... but it didn't work.
Anyway, EndTask.net is cool, but it doesn't half remind me of Surfstation.lu. Especially their last incarnation. Whoo!
Although this isn't a great insult. More of a compliment, really, cuz I loved that design. With it's pastel shaded fadedness... snifty.

You Heard It Here First!
Do you just wanna type random stuff into a search engine to see what happens? I do it all the time, and sometimes I get gems and sometimes it just all gets a bit surreal. The worst thing is those heartless companies who just pick a few random names and then stick their boring site under them. MrBond.com has nothing to do with the phrase "...I've been expecting you", or any of it's variations.
However, never was there are more underwhelmingly disturbing hidden url than "www.smokingiscool.com". For the kids, of course...
Finally, on this subject (unless I find something genuinely funny/good), all the "saying something that rhymes but adding "shm" in front" urls are still up for grabs. And by grabs, I mean "Grabs Shmabs". And by mean I mean "Mean Shmean". You get the idea...

While Your Counting
There are so many variations of the domain "randomnumbers" that are up for grabs. Granted, .com and .net are taken, but .org is free, as are many others. So while it's going, get in there, and start spouting your own random numbers.
This was another customer service broadcast from the people who think it's goood to add .com to randomphrases while surfing.

Poppy!
It's flash alright. But it's wikquid indeed. "Qu" is my sound of the week... well, it's been my sound of ages, but it's now finally getting some hardcore typed spotlight, and is appearing on websites, e-mails, and all sorts of groovy stuff all over the shop.
But yeah, this website. It's good, Jim, but the actual stuff they show is pretty mundane. They should stop being an architecture firm (if that's what they are) and stick to websites. And then the world would... well, it probably wouldn't care, but that's not the point.
Oh no...

What They Don't Realise
Is that they've actual taken their name from the Good Morning With Richard Not Judy show. The curious orange being the pathetic orange based character used on that show for all manner of completely random stuff. It was a great show... don't remember the specifics, but it was worth getting up early on a Sunday morning (then going back to bed) for...

Looking Worldwide
Very nice looking stuff indeed, from the man who brought you Three.oh. However, with 730 participants, it seems a bit of a pointless way to get your cause across. I personally see the number 730 and think, "I'm not even gonna bother looking at the list, cuz I'm blatently not gonna find a site I'm gonna like". So you get a few more hits for a day and a half, tops. Sign me up!
Am I being too cynical again? This always happens...

Today Came Today
That's something else that's happened. The Gorillaz have released a new single. It's supposed to be out today, but I haven't been the shops yet. The video and song are both fantastic, but the remix is shockingly bad. Seriously.

I've Been Playing
Super Mario World. It's the best game since sliced bread (which was a great game... umm...)... but I've nae been online recently, so I have no brand spanking new links for you. All I have to justify this update is the fact that Ms. Invention13 (for that is her now name) has revamped her site. And it looks much nicer than before, though I doubted this much of an improvement were possible. Now it just looks more ubersnazzy than ever, and if I hadn't met her way back in the day, I'd be far too intimidated to send her any e-mail at all. And since I was correcting a mistake when I first e-mailed, let's face it, I wouldn't have any excuses to send any mail this time round. Cuz it just lacks obvious faults. It lacks obscure faults, now that I think about it.
In other news, I am still updating both my current sites (_ output and exponents), but of course, I both can't and haven't bothered to upload them (respectively). But they will be done.
Finally, there is still no new news (now that'w what I call alliteration..!) on the University project, but the more I look at my efforts all over the shop, the less impressed I am. Except for my in class doodling, which is snazzerific, even if I do say so myself. And I do. And did, in fact.
And, as if only to rend inert the word "finally" at the beginning of that last sentence, here is a little treat that won't be available for general release until I get off my arse and upload the Exponents update. Don't bother to link to it yet, cuz I'll put a proper link up later (maybe tomorrow).

Just Scraped In
The link is connected. It's an entry I wrote when I was going to be late for finishing my Exploiting The Internet coursework.
However, mainly, I just wanted somewhere to feel smug - cuz I sure can't do it in real life. And because you can hate me all you want without it really effecting me, I'm gonna do it here.
I got 3 A's in my first batch of module results on Monday. That's an A in Computing Mathematics, an A in Exploiting The Internet (I promise I'll upload that soon), and an A in Visual Programming. I know I hated that exam as soon as I came out, but some people hated it even more. Obviously. So, I'm happy about that. I still need my Creative Drawing grade (not looking forward to that) and my Communications grade (which shouldn't be quite so bad), but ultimately, I'm chuffedish.
And now I'm doing C Programming 1. Which is also turning out to be quite within my range of capabilities. Which is nice.
Ah well, I'll find something to be depressed about tomorrow. Or later, even, when I find out I have no food, and no money for biscuits... oh dear...

I'm Going Primative
No, not really. I wouldn't want to overly offend any purists out there. I am, however, using "a linux environment". It's KDE, if that means anything to anyone. And I'm using Netscape on it. And so to all those kids back in the day who kept on and on at me to "make it more compatible" (well, not me, obviously, cuz my sites were always cross compatible), boo you!
My site works in a Linux environment. Except this one. But that's because this one never works well on Netscape, because Netscape has this uncanny ability to distort tables for no reason. It's added about 5 extra pixels onto both of those black borders for No Reason.
But hey, even my new site works. At the moment anyway. I'm gonna upload the new flash-ish front page, and I'm sure that'll crash it. Horray!
Oh yeah, and for anyone wondering. While this began with the best of intentions, it did just degenerate into a feeble excuse for me to link to my new site again. Sorry. What can I do, I gagging for attention here... heh...

Thinking Laterally
I love it. It's philosophy, baby, yeah! But it's not fully phD'ed up philosophy, and that's why it's good. So, take this page as an example to you all, write down all your best philosophy. It's a surefire ratings success!
Hmm... pop-philosophy...

Blinding!
I'm on page 30, or summut, on Google, doing a search for "Start Website". Which, apparenly, someone did a search for and found my site. However, how they managed to do that, when my site hasn't popped up 350 sites later I have no idea.
I dispair sometimes, I really do.

They Are Us's
They do, they really do. Repetition humour. I love it!

Launching
I registered this name (it's free, and I highly recommend them), and so I thought I'd better put something up. Not everything, yet, but the bulk of it. I intend to have more flash on there by the time it's finished (cuz I'm working on some hardcore flash at the moment). But for your perusal, stage one of Exponents.
Sorry for the self publicity. I would put this on _Output, but the whole reason I created Exponents is cuz I can't update _Output without being on the internet.

They're All At It!
Updates, that is. Invention13 has a new tempolayout, Surfstation is newnewnew, DesignGraphik is newnewnew, and Holodek 73 is... well, you get me.
The Invention 13, Surfstation and Holodek 73 links are those bottom squares there, in case ye were wonderin'.

It's Been A Long Time Coming
Oh, sorry, did I forget to mention yesterday that the new mitDR site is up. I'm sure I didn't. Oh no, definitely not.
It is just "phase one" which is a little bit of work and a forum, but... Mmmmm...
» 2:11pm Thursday 15th February 2001

Insert Sensory Deprivation Antenym Here
More mitDR friendly stuff. Apparently my site comes up when you search for Designers Republic on Google.com (which I've been pronouncing Goggle for years - cuz it's infinitely more sensible). So I did a search and there's so much more mitDR stuff out there than there used to be. They must be promoting themselves more.
In this episode, Matt Pyke talks about the beautiful vid they did for Funkstörung. Worth a psst.

I Know My DR
Everything you ever wanted to know about my favourite design company (The Designer Republic) but were afraid to ask.
Not necessary acurate, but as a wise man (me) once said "no synopsis is perfect"
Sometimes I'm such a genius, it actually hurts... heh...
