off to bed! I want to wake up for breakfast tomorrow and do my tutorials. Then I don't know whether I'll skip Stats lecture to make my tutorials... hmm....
Tuesday, January 16, 2001, 01:00 a.m.
Nicholas is planning to skip OM tomorrow... *sigh* for once, I'm not because I'll be skipping lots in the future so I'd rather not use any of my 3 without-excuse-absences yet. Last sem I had this class called Management & Organization, which was horrible. I hated the lessons, I hated my tutorial class, I hated my group (I hope I won't see those bitches in the same class with me EVER again), and I hated doing the presentations. I'm changing Sora's layout then I'm going to bed.

Me : Guess what! My Computing lecturer is Lee Kee Beng. My Stats lecturer is Lee Kee Beng. My Computing tutor is *argh!* Lee Kee Beng. ANDDDD!! My Stats tutor is also Lee Kee Beng!
or...
Me : Hey, my Econs tutor is that motherly old woman who speaks veeeeerrrryyy slowly.
I miss high school.......

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS PIC! IT'S NOT MINE, IT'S THE CLUB'S. If you take it, well, let's say something nasty may happen.... ^_^x The dragon in the pic is Shoryuu, our club mascot. He is the property of our club and believe me, we'll recognize him straight away. The snake is, well, it symbolizes the new year of the Snake. Isn't Shoryuu just adorable???!!!

Sheessh, I make WoT sounds like a cheesy day-time soap opera ^_^x Well, it almost is, though.... ^^
Yes, I'm still stalling by reading ppl's log first. I'm such a slacker :P
Monday, January 15, 2001, 12:40 a.m.
I keep finding things to stall doing my Econs homework. First it was to find out why my IE is not working. Then it was updating IASC site with one new member (her site is at rinoa.cya.cx and she has lovely wallpapers!). Then it was rearranging my notes and papers, as well as removing all the stuff on my desk to give me enough room to write. And now, I have a very strong urge to make a layout for Tsuioku or ZS...... Of course, I'm blogging now, isn't that a great way to put off doing my homework? :)
Sunday, January 14, 2001, 11:24 p.m.
You know what, it's not my IE that's not working. It's my starting page that's down. At least, that's what I think. What was weird is that previously before I went for the concert I couldn't get to Yahoo as well. Just now it works because I started by opening my Network Neighbourhood to see whether it works. It did. Then I typed this page URL and it connected! J, I know I said I wanted to take a long, long, long break from web-designing and all that but I figure I want to finish all my projects first which includes another new layout for ZS and making Tsuioku, which is projected to be a layout archive site and then some ^^ ZS alone will take me months to finish @_@ (yes people that's how big ZS is!! And there's only one me! and I haven't use an external style sheet... YET!) After that, THEN I'll take a loong break (probably in May when I go off for hols) before I start to make a BIG project.

ARGHHHH---!!! I came back from a computer-deprived weekend at my aunt's place and I found THIS??!!! My IE is NOT working!! I thought it was because the network is still down, it was down last Sat due to the Net migration on campus, but then my friend told me she was already able to go to the internet so I tried my Netscape and here I am! I don't know what's wrong with my IE.... I checked everything and they all seemed OK.... ;_; I just came back from watching this incredible show at UCC. It's a Japanese taiko drum show and it was incredible. I'm so glad Daphne called me this afternoon to ask me to come since she had an extra ticket. I was sitting in my seat totally transfixed at 10 people beating their drums for 2 hours 0_0 It was just totally incredible.
Kara, *hugs* hopefully you're OK now...
I have to figure out what's wrong with my IE now, then make my Econs homework @_@
Friday, January 12, 2001, 09:12 p.m.
I've also downloaded IE 5.5 (along with the Jap text program) so now I can see the cool colored scrollbar to match my layouts. Yay! B 318 looks so much nicer now.
Friday, January 12, 2001, 07:36 p.m.
Back to English. Phew. Can't believe it took me five minutes to write that. This program is cool but takes time to get used to... It's great to learn kanji with, too!

Thursday, January 11, 2001, 11:14 p.m.
B 318 is up! The layout is VERY simple but it features Akito *point to the banner* from Fruits Basket. He is just so beautiful. Just now when I was showing the site to Arief :
Arief : why does the girl look evil?
I finally know what to do with the scanner when I scanned those Akito pics!!! Hee hee hee... Sarah, how do you like it? :)
Thursday, January 11, 2001, 11:14 a.m.
I have no discipline..... I'm a pig, yes I am.
Thursday, January 11, 2001, 02:33 a.m.
Which reminds me, I want to redo my entire KareKano review in time for next month's update :)
Thursday, January 11, 2001, 02:09 a.m.
Yin, Cowboy Bebop songs ARE by Yoko Kanno and yes, they're very different from Escaflowne. Rather like blues-y and folksy. But they're quite nice, especially if you really like the type of music. Gina, I know I e-mailed you about it but congrats of Pure-snow.net and thanks for providing HOT's Outside Castle!!!! *glomps Gina*
Thursday, January 11, 2001, 12:13 a.m.
T stands for tutorial, L stands for lecture. OM is Operations Management. Finc is Finance, Comp is Computing. Stat is Statistics and Econ is, well, Economics. Personally, I think this schedule is WAY better than my last sem's, where I had 6 modules and cramped all my tutorials in Monday so during the weekend I had to do homeworks. But the Friday one is REALLY bad now >.< I had no choice :( I don't think I can still change. But my Wednesdays are FREEEEE! ^_^
Wednesday, January 10, 2001, 11:52 p.m.
Kara, went to watch Lavender with Yil just now. It was pretty much of a no-brainer story lar, but Yil and I only wanted to see Takeshi anyway and was he super cute... He's super-cool in Kamisama & Love 2000 but very cute here. *drool* And Yil, if you're reading, jia yu with the job, don't take it to heart ok? bear with it! And BTW, I'll spell it out for you : KAMISAMA, MOU SUKOSHI DAKE ^^ Does anyone realized I made a Singlish slip up there? Possibly even more than one? 0_0 I opened a new bank account today and got a HUGE sum deposited in it by dear Mother, and this account is ESPECIALLY for my personal expenses. Now, ain't that just lovely? *mentally doing a list of all the mangas I want to buy* I was having supper down at the Comm Hall just now when a bunch of Indonesians from Extension A came and Merlin, a senior of mine since junior high, was there. I didn't recognized her because she changed her hairstyle and she greeted me first, in Japanese. The only person I know who speaks Jap to me is only her and we started conversing in Jap, which was cool since I don't get much conversation practice, and she told me she went to Japan during the hols and she visited almost every major town there is! I'm so jealous of her!!!!!
Wednesday, January 10, 2001, 03:33 a.m.
Kara, I just watched Tokyo Babylon, episode 1! Seishirou!!!!!! *drool* *yawn* My Wednesdays are FREEEEEEEEEEE!

Me : what do you mean UNAVAILABLE???!!!
Thus, I had to walk all the way back to the Central Library and I had to climb hundreds of stairs along the way >.< When I got to the Main Shelves I was cursing the architects for making the main entrance to be located at the 4th floor and the main shelves at the 2nd floor >.< I went to the Main Shelves only to find the book was also not there. I was fuming when I went to the computer to check out the online catalog and there was this girl in front of me using the computer for ageeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssss. She was checking out the books one by one, writing the entire information down veeeeery slowly. Can't she just take a look at the call number and head for the shelf to find all the same subject books there???!!!! I had the most insane urge to strangle her then. Anyway I think she was very sorry to have kept me waiting for so long when she was done :P She kept glancing at me tapping my foot impatiently behind her hehehe.... I think I also made all kinds of impatient angry mutterings ^^ Then I got hold of the computer and checked that the book was actually available at the RBR section, which is, at the 4th floor. So I went back up, endured the librarian's barked orders on how to borrow the book for a measly 2 hours, and finally got my hands on the damn Stats book to do my homework. I can't even read my own handwriting on the homework now... Off to tutorial now... computer lab's 32 bit screen color computers are nice :)
Tuesday, January 9, 2001, 12:08 p.m.
Oh yeah I skip lecture :) I have a bit of things to do and I couldn't wake up (this is becoming a habit) earlier so I skip the lecture to do it then I guess I'll run off to the library to do my homework.
Tuesday, January 9, 2001, 01:02 a.m.
DADDY DEAREST, THANK YOU FOR THE PRESSIE!!!!!! I opened the card immediately in the lecture theatre and I think the guy behind me was giving me weird looks because I was giggling and because of the you-know-what. I managed to take out the clock and got it working. Thank you so much daddy! You know how much your dearest daughter loves bright colour thingy, ne? :) *huggles daddy Tosh* It's standing beside my vase of pink zennia flowers now...
Tuesday, January 9, 2001, 12:11 a.m.
I'm so proud of myself, I cleaned up my mailbox today and ended up having 1096 e-mails to trash. I also replied to some long-buried, forgotten e-mails. So sorry for not replying earlier, people. *waves to Yin & Jess* Mia, I'll reply you soon! Nice to get an e-mail from you, now that you're finally off from doing house chores! hee hee hee... I had a panic just now. See, I have Stats tutorial tomorrow and I don't know whether I have a homework or not. Then I tried desperately to remember the course's website URL and failed. (I didn't write it down :P THAT'S the kind of careless person I am) So I got Filda to tell me and when I checked I realized I don't have the textbook yet and Filda told me it's not sold at the Co-op yet. I asked my senior whether he still has the book and he says no. Luckily I remember to check the LINC and found it at the library. Since I have a 3-hour break between my Stats lecture and tutorial tomorrow, I suppose I can go down to the library and make my homework there. Ack. I'm a really REALLY careless lazy slacker. I'm the kind of person that only checks what tutorial she has for the next day and what homework she has at 12 midnight *smiles* I'm also the kind of person who came to class today not knowing which room she was supposed to go and had to get her friend to check it out at the intranet for her and then SMS-ed the information to her. oh yeah, now you know me well, do you....? /hides under the table

"I believe comics are our last link to an ancient way of passing on history... I believe comics are a form of history that someone, somewhere, has experienced..." Whaddya say, Christine?
Monday, January 8, 2001, 12:20 a.m.
I'm really, really in a bad mood now -_-
Sunday, January 7, 2001, 10:03 p.m.
Anyway I'll make a brief mentioning of what I did today. Woke up early because of my moning shift manning the publicity booth at UCC's heARTS today. It was a slow, uneventful day. We didn't expect to sell any tickets but at least we got some publicity. The Minister of something-something even stopped by and asked Wen Jye questions and I think we were all shot by a media camera. Dunno whether we'll be in TV or not :P But then we got to watch our hall acapella, choir & dancers performing. Eusoff Hall dancers performed a dance using Jennifer Lopez "Let's Get Loud" and *I* performed on Arts Fest last sem with the same song. I'm so sick of that song. But I must admit, our Let's Get Loud is a lot better ^^ Pei Chuan's a great choreographer, although he nearly killed us all doing the moves >.< Eusoff's Let's Get Loud was rather err... sissy, even the guys' movements were so girlish. ^^ I'm a lousy dancer, REALLY. I have no background, save for traditional Balinese dance, and it's way, way, WAY different than the dance I'm supposed to do now. I can never understand why I passed the dance audition and not the choir. I'm a singer, not a dancer, for God's sake! We also got free lunches. Not bad, ne? Oh I was told that our hall production's site is up. This year we're doing a musical called Sing to the Dawn and no, i'm not performing, I'm just the publicity officer ^^ It's a musical written by a Singaporean, set in Thailand and it's quite good, IMO. I've listened to the original Singapore Repertoire CD so many times >.< Hmm.. You can see the site at www.singtothedawn.com (namezero.com's service, BTW!) and it's all Flash and some of the sections aren't up yet. But you can see the "Committee" site and see my name flashes ^^; Enough rambling. Econs homework now!!!!!! *flogs herself*
Sunday, January 7, 2001, 07:57 p.m.
Has the bloop / oink / moo got a layout yet? Sarah, thanks for the nice e-mail about sora! I'll write more on the e-mail I'm going to write to you later.
Sunday, January 7, 2001, 01:11 a.m.
My room smells like a papaya.... oh, and I have to get up at 7.30 tomorrow >.<
Saturday, January 6, 2001, 09:43 p.m.
I went to Orchard after Jap class today and went to Maru and kino, as usual. I was in Maru when I remembered that last time I was there I was with Sabs and we were both saying that we haven't seen Asuka lately. She also mentioned it was difficult to find in Japan last time her mom went there. So today I checked out the arrival's list (Maru's customers are usually regulars, so Maru is very cozy indeed with all the lists of arrivals plastered all over the place) and saw that Asuka just arrived yesterday so I checked out the shelves again and there it was, the Feb issue!! I took one look at the nice looking cover and grabbed it without thinking 0_0 akishou ne, kara? I can lend you my Kamisama boxset if you come here and get it hee hee hee... oh before I forget, YIL, where are you? I messaged you today to ask u to go watch Takeshi's new movie Lavender!! It looks interesting, besides, I like Kelly Chen since I watched her a week ago in And I Hate You So ^^ (I watched the VCD lar... my cousins just came back from HK and bought dozens of Chinese movie VCDs) J, I scanned several pages from my yearbook for you. Hope you enjoy them! :) Ack, I owe Sarah and Yin an e-mail. Gomen!!! Will do it soon. oh and BTW, virtue.nu is down ^^ Last time I saw the main page was being hacked. Now it seems the entire place is hijacked. Ack!
Saturday, January 6, 2001, 12:41 a.m.
I'm sleepy... and it's only 1 AM. I wonder why *yawn* I had a nice block supper today :) Got to eat a LOT of mud pie and you know how much I love icecream :P
Friday, January 5, 2001, 02:27 a.m.
Since I'm still full and can't possibly go to bed with a full stomach despite having a 10 AM lecture tomorrow, I'd rather write about something here. One of the characterictics of hall life is the culture of supper. Especially if your hall has a stall open in its own communal hall, selling food especially after dinner for supper, like the one we have here. Around 11 pm until 1 or so, you can see groups of people trooping down to the comm hall to eat. ICQ messages will come asking you to join them for supper. People will also eat supper after they finish practice or meeting, which are usually held at the comm hall. The sight of an open stall with hot food and rows of people chatting and eating is just too irresistable. Despite my lack of appetite, I gained weight last sem, all because of my habit of eating supper. My meal is usually a plate of nasi lemak and a cup of iced Milo. Very fattening on the whole. I'll tell you the story about my brother and Milo next time. Eating supper is like an addiction. You're not THAT hungry to eat a plate of rice in the middle of the night, but you eat it anyway. I don't even know why ^^ I'm *trying* to stop taking so many suppers and eating so much this semester, though. I don't want to get fat again, putting on the weight I have lost during the holidays (where the stall closed along with school ^^).
Friday, January 5, 2001, 01:19 a.m.
DON'T EVEN remind me I still have Biz Comm and anime club work to do. And I have to clean my room and arrange my stuff. It seems I'll be taking a break from web-designing until March >.< Ack, I still owe myself and a few people several layouts.... I hate it when I don't have time to slack around and spoil myself. *takes a deep breath* At least on Saturday I'll only have Jap class and then I can go shop for some things I really need but haven't had the time to buy it yet. Damn, I need tissue here!!!!
