Welcome!
Otakunz was concieved when a group of friends got sick of constantly sending eachother links to neat websites they had found. Being otaku on anime & manga, most of the links were of that subject. So we setup Otakunz. A place where the jaded anime/manga fan can visit and find only the best sites reviewed and listed.
Enjoy!

Sakura no Yume
Clara : Since no-one's mentioned it yet, I thought I'd better add this, the mother of all Clamp networks... the volume of content is astounding, and it could probably take hours to explore every nook and cranny... A DEFINATELY must-visit for any Clamp fan.
The design is another thing to admire altogether, navigation might be puzzling for the newbie but the way dHTML is manipulated with the pretty eye-candy is really something to gawk at. ^_^;

Around the World
Clara : Since I keep going on about Initial D, and we're currently watching it in the AAC, I thought I'd plug the best Initial D site online... it has more facts than you ever knew about the car-racing anime, even information about the manga which is otherwise little known outside of Japan, I'd imagine. Not to mention much detailed information about all the soundtracks, with lyrics to most of the songs! ^o^ Karaoke, anyone?
Very well designed, easy to navigate and superbly fitting for Initial D. Go there!

The Angry Cow
Zeb : Don't let the title fool you, once you get into this site, you will love it. There is just so much to see! So much to explore and read and play with. The Manga Translation page has translations the web-mistress has done & scans from doujinshi she owns; the Trading page is a neat way for the web-mistress to trade goods with visitors to her website; the Omake is a huge database of images, skins, sounds, lists etc; she also has her own online journal. Make sure you also check out the Manga/Artbook ISBN section.
The site has great design too. A new fresh look on each section and easy navigation. This is definately something that needs exploring, the deeper you go, the more interesting it gets.

Solace
Zeb : I came across this website quite by accident. After exploring a bit, I was spellbound. The webmistress of the site, Julie Dillon has the most gorgeous fan art; her originals equally as lovely. She has a gallery of her artwork, tutorials and a section on anime villians.
The site design is lovely & rather unique... definately not what you normally see on anime/manga related websites. Julie uses her own artwork to make a visual fiesta... making the site worth visiting just for the design itself.

Boku no Chikyuu o Mamotte (Please Save my Earth) Giant Data Base
Jen : I absolutely adore PSME, and this is one of the best online resources for PSME I've found to date. Especially in terms of music *wai-wai* images and information concerning this manga series that eventuated in a OAV series.
The only drawbacks to this site are that the layout is a tad painful on the eyes (with over-obvious use of frames) and that it is a bi-lingual site and therefore a trifle wordy.

Ragabash's CLAMP Winamp Skins
Zeb : I constantly lose the link to this website (un-intentionally) so it always gives me great pleasure when I find it again. Being a winamp skin slut, I like to co-ordinate my winamp to fit with my background etc. Ragabash's huge selection of well designed CLAMP winamp skins (he also has other series, but CLAMP is dominant) always keeps me satisfied ;)
The website itself is easy to navigate, although a bit too dark for my tastes (purple text on black background) but please don't let it deter you from exploring!

Masamune Shirow Hyperpages
Zeb : The Masamune Shirow Hyperpages has both a neat un-cluttered design and content that is thoroughly unique. The Masamune Shirow fan will find upto date information on the Shirow world on new products, in depth reviews on some of the rarer stuff (Neurohard!) and heaps of other goodies such as a heavily populated BBS, fan database, fan art gallery and a very detailed FAQ!
Whats even better is that they have the latest news on Ghost in the Shell II Manmachine Interface!

time-stranger.net
Zeb : I've never been much for all those anime clique, network things that seem to infest the net these days... but I recently came across time-stranger.net
Gorgeous design and although there is'nt much in the way of content, it has a collective of anime/manga related sites maintained by the site mistress: series such as Corrector Yui, Wedding Peach and her own fan fiction and webrings.
