Background Noise: Flogging Molly - Black Friday Rule

So yeah. Two entries for you today. Don't get used to it or anything. I'm sitting here waiting on Kazaa to do something, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to jot some stuff down. Can you "jot" on a keyboard? Jot is a funny word.

Anyway... stuff I forgot in the last entry! After months and months of threatening, I finally got my hairs cut off. All of them. My hair is all short and floppy now. And pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself.

I get to have a root canal next month. Whee. I'm so anal retentive about keeping my teeth clean... yet I've always got holes in them and worse. Guh. My mom was trying to convince me the other day that false teeth really wouldn't be so bad. -_-

Yay! Kazaa is working with me now. I'm getting new Hikki. And some Detroit Cobras. Woot.

Oh, on the way home from work today, I saw an Eclipse that wasn't silver. (*gasp*) I know! It was this really awesome shade of red. Not the usual fireapple red and not that plain old burgundy. It was this awesome blood red. Like... wine red. It had depth to it too. It was... Vampire Velvet Red. It was the color car a vampire would drive. (A vampire wouldn't drive an Eclipse, though. They're shaped too much like jelly beans. A vampire would drive something with edges.)

It reminded me of the Ruby iMacs. Rrrrrowr. Red is such a sexy color.

I'm bored, people. Help me out here.

Background Noise: They Might Be Giants - Pet Name (Playing through my head over and over...)

Seriously... this song is lodged in my head. I may have to resort to humming a few bars of "Everybody to the Limit" just to get it out.

Well. I started work last week. I there right now, in fact. Watching the front desk on the tail end of my lunch break. It'll be back to rolling and filing charts soon. Woot. I'm back in the swing of things, so it's not so bad. I just wish I didn't have to wait til next Friday for my paycheck.

I went and saw Down with Love with Will and LeAnna. It was a pretty nifty movie. Then I rented Catch Me if You Can just a couple of nights ago. I'm feeling so mod right now it's not even funny.

I helped Will make a t-shirt to wear to the DDR tourney in Mobile. He was happy with my design, so that's good. He can be stingy with the compliments, so it was nice. He got a copy of Shaolin Soccer whilst in Alabamy, so I'm-a have to borrow it and make a copy as payment for services rendered.

Saturday I met Daniel on the Coast for lunch, shopping (BWA HA HA! Poor kid. XD), and Bruce Almighty. Well. I met him AFTER I woke him up. He'd completely forgotten about it. I hope he doesn't make a habit of forgettig about dates. Punk. :p The movie was very good. I'd like to go see it again. Shopping was fun too. For me, anyway. Hot Topic was out of Bob Ross shirts in my size, though. I was so disappointed. Bob Ross is the man, fo' shizzle.

You know, I'd pay top dollar for an original Bob Ross.

I didn't get Bob Ross, but I got another Weezer shirt. This one has Animal (the Muppet, yo) playing the drums on the front and the Weezer logo with "Weezaaaaaargh" on the back. So cute. I saw lots of shirts I wanted.. they'll just have to wait til I go shopping for school clothes in August.

Background Noise: Flogging Molly - Devil's Dance Floor

Right right. It's been a busy week. I apologize for the lack of updates... but I've either been asleep, drugged, or out. Or any combination of the above. Woo woo.

Let's see.. I went to get an eye exam on Monday. I ended up getting a new kind of contanct lenses. They seem to dry my eyes out a lot more than my other kind. I also got cute new glasses. They're dark, square frames. They've got that whole geek chic thing going on that's so popular these days. They feel a lot better than my old frames too. I think I'll be wearing my glasses more often from now on.

Tuesday I got up early and had my wisdom teeth yanked from my mouth. The actual procedure wasn't bad at all. I was a little nervous about the IV, though... since the last one I had was such an ordeal (and I'm a bit of a baby about these things). After I woke up, I just had to deal with a mouth full blood and gauze. Ick. I was so glad when I stopped bleeding. I'm just now able to chew real food again. It wasn't fun living off of soup and pudding. Bleah. I still have clean out the gaping holes in my gums... which really squicks me out.

Wednesday I slept late and then went to see a late showing of the Matrix Reloaded with LeAnna, Will, and Daniel. That was fun, but I ended up with a horrible headache when I got home. I think I caught it from Daniel. Heh heh. Anyway. The movie was pretty good. It seemed to get a bit pretentious at parts... but there was lots of fun eye candy. I didn't get the same "whoa" feeling I got from the first one.

Thursday was a sleeping day. I woke up with a headache, slept it off... got another one... took a percocet... and slept again. I did get to play a good bit of Xenogears, though.

Friday was a little more sleeping, a trip to Picayune to run some errands, and then another trip to the Cinemark with LeAnna and Will. Only Will decided he didn't want to watch a movie at the last minute... so we drug him to the mall. I got Mars #10 (*swoon*) and saw a Bob Ross shirt that I have to buy. Fo' shizzle. Then it was off to the arcade again where I gave myself another awful headache/jawache. Probably shouldn't have DDRed as much as I did. We went back to Will's house to check out Amplitude... which I MUST HAVE. Like... NOW. Rrrar. I've lost all of my Frequency niftiness. I have to get Amplitude so I can get back into practice. Can't let Will beat me. Besides, it's got Weezer's "Dope Nose" on it. *^_^*

Yesterday I spent mostly playing Xenogears. I'm finally on the second disk. Woo hoo. I'm trying to finish up as fast as possible so I can play FF8. And then Xenosaga. And then it'll be time for FFX-2. *giddy*

Now I'm off to unpack (yeah... just now getting to that...) and more Xenogears. :d

Background Noise: Creedence Clearwater Revival - Long as I Can See the Light

So, I'm back home. I had an interesting trip down here. My brother and I in my car ended up catching up with Daniel and LeAnna so we kinda convyed it as long as our routes were the same. Unfortunately, Daniel got hit by a bus. I won't go into a whole lot of detail, he's already done that in his journal. LeAnna and I pulled over and walked down the interstate back to where it happened to make sure he was alright. I was completely freaked out because I couldn't tell yet how bad it was. Thankfully he was okay, understandably upset, but okay. I was worried for a while there.

It also turned out to be the first time my parents got to meet Daniel. They ended up catching up with us as we waited for the highway patrol. Not incredibly wonderful circumstances. But mom said she was very impressed about how Daniel handled the situation. Very mature and collected, she said. (Unlike LeAnna, who was ready to beat down a busdriver and eat her alive or something.) Score.

I haven't unpacked any of the many boxes sitting in the hallway. I got some laundry done, though. I went and saw X2 again today. Tasty tasty. I also noticed something... Wolverine should have smelled something awry when Mystique visited his tent. I know she can't mimic scent. (And if that was a spoiler, I'm sorry. It's minor and you'll get over it.)

My brother had the same reaction Daniel and I had at the end. ("OMG! Yes!")

My mom said she wants to borrow my comic books to better prepare for the third movie. But, unless the third movie stars Onslaught and features Gambit's trial, it might not be much help.

Next week is my one week off before I start work. Joy. I have an eye appointment Monday afternoon and the Tuesday morning the wisdom teeth come out. Apparently I'm going to see the Matrix late Wednesday night... but I imagine I might be sleeping on someone's shoulder instead.

I got cute new sandals at Wal-Mart today. Yay.

Um. That's all for now. Happy Mother's Day and stuff.

Background Noise: The Ulfuls - Banzai

Well well. Another weekend gone. Once again, not much happened. Friday night I got to see X2. I've got just one thing to say about that.

OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG! OH EM GEE!

Anyway. Needless to say, Daniel and I geeked it up real good. We would get giddy everytime we recognized a mutant. He was a little more vocal than I was, but I was excited nonetheless. And the end...

OMG!OMG!OMG! That was awesome. Beautifuly awesome. Totally. Nightcrawler kicked ass, Deathstrike was awesome but underused, and *spoilerspoilerSPOILER*.

Omigod.

Anyway. I'll stop now before I spoil the end and ruin someone's life. The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful. Saturday was pretty lazy. Got up late (I really tried not to. ;.;) and then went and grabbed some lunch. Then I went and wandered around the street fair with Daniel and LeAnna. It was hot and crowded and there wasn't much to look at, so we called it quits and headed back to campus. Unfortunately we missed Critter Man and Foghat. On the bright side, I've got my own Critter Man. I'll have to live without Foghat, though.

Today I just studied all day. I've got my biology final at 8:00 tomorrow morning and then western civ at 12:00. I should get in bed soon, I think. My head hurts. Bleah.

The Old Man of the Mountain dieing makes me sad.

This, however, just disturbs me. o.o

And on that note, sweet dreams. Heh.
