We're leaving for Missouri tomorrow morning. Woo. I'll be getting back on Friday or Saturday. Most likely Saturday, I assume.
I spent yesterday hopping from the arcade, to the comic store, to the mall and back. I honestly can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon. *^_^* I ended up buying Cowboy Bebop manga to read on the way up there. I also drooled over the Yojimbo figure. I think I'm going to hold out for Seymour, though. *hargle* I was also tempted to buy a movie Belldandy figure. She was 6" and wearing her battle costume. She comes with Banpei-kun's head... which was kind of creepy until I realized that you get the rest of him when you buy Urd and Skuld. Freaky. >.> Anyway, I kept my fangirlish tendencies at bay... for the time being. :o
Lonely, singing kitties are the saddest things in the world. ;.; This made me so weepy.
But, I can always count on Mr. Nice to cheer me up. (Yes, I know I've linked to him before, but he is my best friend after all.)
And don't you forget it, bee-otch.

I've been meaning to update since Saturday... you can tell how quickly I got to that. Ah well, better late than never, right?
I got The White Stripes' album "White Blood Cells". This is some pretty tasty stuff. It sounds exactly like you would image a brother and sister playing rock n' roll in their garage would sound like. Very groovy and very sweet with just the right amount of roughness around the edges. I'm going to have to buy "De Stijl" too. Yum.
I went to see Scooby Doo Sunday. I didn't like it. And I don't like that face Matthew Lillard is making on the movie poster. >.>; It could have been a lot smarter, I guess. Just not my cup of tea.
Then I saw Undercover Brother, and as much as I'm annoyed by Denise Richards, I really, really enjoyed this one. It was much better than I thought it'd be. (Listen to me... I'm starting to sound like a movie snob. This from the girl who watched Half a Loaf of Kung Fu five times in one summer.)
Apolo was voted Sexiest Athelete in Sports Illustrated for Women's Swimsuit Issue with a third of the overall votes. Lots and lots of people have good taste it seems. However, he had to go and ruin this picture by braiding his hair. Let your hair down Apolo... there's a reason the blog layout is called "Lion's Mane". Rrrowr.
Interesting Tidbit: I just noticed that, in the month of February, my blog's hits doubled. This was when I was posting nearly everyday yammering on about Apolo and the Olympics. Now I know what gets the visitors. >.>
Weezer's new video for "Keep Fishin'" is going to premier on MTV's Making the Video July 14th. Apparently the video has the band performing on the old Muppet Show complete with Miss Piggy accosting Pat Wilson backstage. It sounds almost has funky cool as their "Buddy Holly" appearance on Happy Days. I love these guys.
Look out, it's a quiz!
![]() Take the The "What Teen Label Do You Fit Into Most?" Quiz! by antiperfectBut you know, if I were truly emo... I bet this label would disgust me. Or something like that. Either way, yay for sweater vests.
P.S. I never get e-mail. What're you going to do about it?

I finally got the Apolo Ohno layout up. It's not as flashy as I hoped it'd be and the color in the photo doesn't match the background like it should. I just got tired of fooling with it. Blah.
I got back from the dentist over three hours ago and my teeth and lips are still numb. They really juiced me up this time. The whole right side of my face was numb. Even my ear. That felt strange. >.>
My dentist doesn't seem to realize that I'm twenty years old. I know I'm not quite a "grown up" to some people, but he seriously doesn't need to talk to me like I'm seven. My mouth is getting numb, not "sleepy" and I don't need to be reassured that I "did such a good job!" once he's done. And please, please don't call me a "good girl". It just sounds silly to talk like that to someone my size. ¬_¬
I need to get the new They Might Be Giants album. Aris-chan sent me some mp3s from it. It's tasty.
I've been watching Noir lately. It's pretty groovy. The music rocks and the characters rock and all the shooting and stuff rocks as well. I don't really like the art style. It's a little too anime for me. >.>;; The little baby faces Mirielle and the other women have just don't seem to fit the tone of the story. I pictured Mirielle looking more like Bebop's Julia. But I guess I'm a little biased.

I almost got eaten on the way to lunch today. I almost stepped on a snake. o.o It was either a garter snake or maybe a little king snake.. so maybe I wouldn't have gotten eaten, but it scared the daylights out of me when it pulled back and hissed. At least I could tell it wasn't poisonous, that way I didn't have to run. I just walked a whole lot faster. >.>
My weekend was a little less death defying. I slept all day Saturday and then got up to go to the arcade for some DDR with LeAnna. My brother ended up tagging along too. (I wonder if he annoys everyone else as much as he bugs me. >.>) I ended up feeling extremely wired and silly that evening, which means I got loud and talkative. (At least I didn't end up standing on someone else's bed trying to "dance" like Andrew W.K. again.)
Sunday, to make up for constantly harrassing him, we took my dad to see Windtalkers. It was really good. I used to hate war movies and the like, but I've grown to really enjoy them. The only thing I can complain about is Nicholas Cage's love interest sub-plot whatever. It was just kind of a pointless bit the movie could have done without. (Just like I would have enjoyed Pearl Harbor so much more without that dumb love triangle.)
Speaking of movies, check out this thing I found via Kung Fool. It's pretty interesting. (I like to read these kinds of things and pretend I'm a science geek.) Check out the Laws of Anime Physics too. Everyone's seen them before, but they're still fun.
Amber Forever is scary and wrong, but I still found it incredibly hilarious. XD
I have a feeling this is going to be a rotten week. I've got a dentist appointment tomorrow, yay. I've got to get some teeth filled. They've been bothering me for a while now, so I guess it'll be worth the trouble. I've just got this icky feeling in my bones that the whole week is going to be miserable. Bleah.
Now to find a pointless quiz to close this thing with. Whee.
![]() I'm just watching a bad dream I'd never wake up from. Find out what anime bad boy you are.
Oh hells yeah. (If only I really were that cool...)

I've been meaning to update this thing for a while now. I've put it off for so ling that I've forgotten what I was going to say. I'm sure you're all disappointed.
I got birthday DivX anime from Ed yesterday. I've yet to catch him online to thank him... so... thank you, Ed. :D I got the rest of Vandread Second Stage (Wheee!), the last episode of the Love Hina OST, and Noir. He also sent his follow up to his first Asakawa Yuu compilation album, "Yuu 2". Isn't that cute? XD I've got lots of anime to watch now, I suppose. >.>
I went to the Grand Arcade and played some DDR Saturday night. 'Twas fun. I did pretty well, especially after refueling at McD's. There were some pretty cool people playing too (Mallow-kuuuuuun!). I didn't catch most of their names, though. >.>;; There was one kid being kind of obnoxious and acting like he owned the machine. On my breaks I actually got to the fourth level of Soul Calibur. Don't laugh. This is really very, very good for me. >.>; I noticed a vast improvement when I changed from Sigfreid to Ivy. I'll be back at the arcade fairly late on Saturday night. Hope I don't miss any of the cool people.
Well. Lookit the time. I must away! Later, y'all.

I don't have much to say, really. Just felt like archiving May. Yay.
Hamutarou is on Cartoon Network. I haven't had a chance to catch it, but doesn't it look so cuuuuuute? *_* Tongari-kun, or Jingle to us 'Mericans, was voiced by Asakawa Yuu. I'll just have to plug my ears and imagine when I watch the dub. >.>; Ookyoo!
There are a lot of blogs out there with intelligent content, you know. Neko-kun, for instance, writes intelligent, indepth political commentary. And stuff. With me, you get cartoon hamsters.
And this quiz. (Ganked from Neko-kun, ironically.)
Wow. I would've put money on sloth or gluttony. But I trust the result. Would an internet quiz lie?
