A co-worker of mine said this morning that she feels like Charlie Brown on the pitcher's mound. She's not the only one. Seems that, for the past week or so, I haven't been able to say or do anything right. More so than usual anyway. ^^; The worst part is I've got so many Lucys hanging around to make sure I know it. Feh... this too shall pass.
Kung Fool really tickled me today. Mi Sung is so cute. :o I was also tickled by a link to "Ebert and Rivers" from the Kung Fool website. I'll be the first to tell you that neo-nazism isn't funny, but racists, along with homophobes and other complete morons are funny.
I just realized that it's the last day of July. Where did my summer go? o.O; Oh well, the fall brings lots of goodies. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is supposed to be out in October and The Sims Deluxe will be out in September. Just in time to distract me from school work. Yay!
And look, the most embarrassing quiz I could find! Thank you, Neko-kun. >.>; I don't know what to say about this.

Why in the world am I listening to this song? o.O *boggles*
Anyway. Spent aaaaaaaaaaaall day DDRing. Well. Almost all day. There was a little time used for eating in there somewhere. I'm really tired now.. and should probably be getting to bed. Still listening to Only You... what's wrong with me. o.o *bounces*
Silly molecules! I think my favorite is "cummingtonite". Bwa ha. XD
Speaking of silly things... here's some of the strange search criteria that have brought people to this here blog:

I seem to have accidentally deleted an entire entry. I don't know how I did that. I'd rewrite it, only I have no clue what was in it. Dangit. I've been meaning to blog all week too, but that never works out as I'm sure you've realized. And now it's time for another Friday Five. I love these things. Makes for good (long) blog entries.
1. How long have you had a weblog? Hmm.. I've had a "blog" since September 2001. I had an OpenDiary before that, but soon grew to hate it. So that doesn't count.
2. What was your first post about? My very first official "blog" post was made on September 11, 2001. You can imagine what it was about.
3. How many changes (name, location, etc.) of your weblog have there been, if more than one? Not many. I've stayed with pitas.com so far and I'm still happy here. The name was changed with my second layout, though. It was originally called "Barbed Wire" because I couldn't come up with a name, so I just named it after the image of Hyde and as an ode to that trademark necklace of his. I later changed it to "Cat Scratches" because the title seemed more fitting with the tone of my blog and my life. It was also the name of my old OpenDiary.
4. What CMS (content management system) do you use? Do you like it or do you want to try something else? I use the one built into pitas.com. Like I said before, I haven't had any problems with it. I'd have to try something else if I ever got a domain to put this thing on.
5. Do you read people who have both a journal and a weblog? Or do you prefer to read people who have all of their writing in one central place?
I usually read people who just have one. I really haven't encountered anyone with both. So... yeah. Some times I can't really tell the difference between a journal and a weblog anyway. Some people on Live Journal treat their journals as weblogs and some people on Blogspot treat their weblogs as journals. I'm beginning to wonder if there is really much of a difference anymore. Even my own weblog was more of a journal at first. Now it's a little of both... I guess. Who knows. I don't even know why I went off on this tangent.
Chopping Block is fun. Slightly mentally disturbed humor is always the best kind, you know. I think it was Xplo-sama (slightly mentally disturbed himself, but loveably so) who shared this link with me.
Unreleased Weezer for the Masses. This link came from Aris-chan. Lots and lots of Weezer rarities for download and whatnot. My favorite discover here is "Songs from the Black Hole", a space-themed rock opera/concept album that was supposed to be released in "Pinkerton"'s place. It's a shame I didn't become a big Weezer fan sooner... I'm so behind with this kind of stuff. And if you need more Weezer mp3s, just check out their official site. They're just giving this stuff away. You have to love these guys. :d
My parents have mentioned helping me pay for a car until I'm done with school and get a more permanent job. Sweet. My dad mentioned specifically a Kia Sportage. I never really imagined he'd suggest I get an SUV. But I guess they're small SUVs. I really wouldn't mind having one at all. I always pictured myself in a sedan of some sort, but hey... my image could use a little sporty-ing up, perhaps. (My dream car, however... is a white Cadillac Coup de Ville with a red plush interior, gold rims, and fuzzy dice. But that's just silly.)

I've recently learned that driving is so much more fun when your mother isn't in the passenger seat having a nervous breakdown.
And now, appearing for the first time in this blog, The Friday Five.
1. Where were you born? I was born at Crosby Memorial Hospital in Picayune, Mississippi.
2. If you still live there, where would you rather move to? If you don't live there, do you want to move back? Why or why not? Well.. I live just outside of Picayune, but it's probably not much different than living in town. If I could move anywhere else, I'd really be pretty happy living closer to Gulfport/Biloxi. Or anywhere nearer to the beach and all the happenings there. Most people I know I are dying to leave the state, but I think I'd be pretty happy staying here. For the time being, at least.
3. Where in the world do you feel the safest? I guess I feel pretty safe at home. I live out in the middle of nowhere, so as long as I don't get any rednecks riled up, I'm okay.
4. Do you feel you are well-traveled? Not really. I've never left the country... I've never even been very far out west or farther north than Pennsylvania. Maybe when I'm older and have a real job, I'll travel more. I've always wanted to go to Europe.
5. Where is the most interesting place you've been? I've always thought big cities were pretty interesting. Probably the most interesting ones I've been to are Washington, D.C. and New Orleans. D.C. has all the interesting museums and landmarks and people. I find politicians interesting. I dunno why. I'm not the most politically minded person ever, but I guess I'm still young and really haven't figured out what my opinions are to begin with. Still, I'd rather meet a cabinet member than a movie star. And as for New Orleans... you can't walk through that city without seeing, hearing, smelling, or stepping in something interesting. The music and food are pretty good, though.
In other news, I finally saw Fight Club last night at a friend's house. It was pretty screwed up, but it was pretty damn good. It was long too. I didn't get back home til midnight and didn't get to bed til 1:00. I'm not quite awake yet.
We also played some DDR, which I was really sucking at. You'd think I'd be getting better by now... but I actually think I'm getting worse. -_-;
![]() Which Cartoon Cat Are You? Quiz by gypsydance Not the most flattering choice, but unfortunately accurate. I was hoping for Hobbes. Or maybe Bucky Katt.

I'm sorry. I love this song. Must play it more often. Wanna know what's going on with me? Tough. You're getting random links instead.
Anyway. First off, I want to do a journal comic type thing. Only, not online... cause I'm not as cool as this guy. I just need a nice sketch book. Of course, if I did it now... I'd be a copy cat. Anyway.. I know I should have gone to SCAD. All the cool people are there.
I've been playing Gang Wars lately. It's kinda sorta like Utopia... only I don't suck at it. Actually, I'm pretty good at it. I'm the godfather of gang RedBedroom and I am a l33t p1mp. Oh yeah.
This site is pretty darn nifty (and I'm sure it's old news). Type in a phrase and it translates it into and from five different languages and spits out the strange results. Par example, I typed in "two countries separated by a common language and a lot of fish" and got back "of two to standardsprache of the countries and many of the fish they were had separated". Kept me occupied for minutes.
Oh. I almost forgot. Woosh.

Well, I'm back. I had a nice trip. It was a little dull at times, but I should expect that at family reunion type things I suppose. It was better than work, anyway.
I found the issue of X-Men where Rogue joins the team at a flea market for three dollars, so I bought that and a couple of fifty cent copies of Excalibur (even though I haven't touched an X-book in a couple of years). I've always liked Nightcrawler. And I hear he's going to be in the X-Men movie sequel. Played by Alan Cumming, no less. I think he'll be a pretty nifty Nightcrawler. He's lanky, yet atheletic and he can do a decent German accent.
Woo.
I found the neatest thing to do in Google at Neko-kun's blog. I'm ganking it. Hope he doesn't mind.
Apparently, Elizabeth Anne is
I also ganked this from Neko-kun. Yay, Neko-kun!
Huh. Go figure. >.>
