I've gotten over my fear of white jeans enough to buy Andrew W.K.'s album. His music is very reminicient of hair metal, the hooks have a tendency towards pop, the lyrics themselves usually aren't the most meaningful ("Party til you puke! / Party til you puke!"), and I love every bit of it. This is just fun music. Oh.. and check out the Andrew W.K. game. It's got (suprise) blood.
My Papa's okay. They just found a small blockage in the back of his heart and they can treat it with medicine. He was supposed to go home today. I haven't talked to my parents yet, so I don't know if he did or not. But, it's all good.
Have you met Mr. Nice? He's my new best friend.
I got to thinking about old friends today. I realized that a lot of people that I considered to be friends from school, church, and even the interweb have just sort of disappeared. Most of it is just time and distance taking their toll. Other times it's probably me being antisocial and not putting a whole lot off effort into being friendly. I should do some cyberstalX0ring to track them down. Then there are the friends who have disappeared probably due to something stupid or hateful I've done or said. I can be such an evil brat sometimes. I think those are the ones I miss the most. Maybe because I probably won't get a chance to apologize. *angstangst*
Woo. Gotta stop that. Being serious is bad. >.> Here's something pointless to balance things out.

Apparently Richard Dreyfuss was in a Civil War Reenactment once. Nifty. I miss doing that. Yes.. I was a Civil War reenactor.. my whole family was. Now just my dad and brother do it. I'm going to have to find my hoopskirt and go with them again sometime.Of course, I'll be grumbling when I'm sleeping on hay and drinking from that awful tin cup. The whole deal does have its moments though.
Anyway... I haven't blogged in a while, so I felt the need to yammer on for a bit. Nothing is new really. School is winding down, thank goodness. My Papa (paternal grandfather) had a mild heart attack this morning. He's in the hospital in Slidell now, I think they're doing an angiowhatever it's called tomorrow. His heart doctor says it wasn't a bad one... so that's good...
Well... that's about it. Off to bed now.. but first... a bit a drama.
Gilmore Girls! Woo. Eddie Shin (Roger from That 80s Show) is in that, I think. Not sure.. I don't get WB. Eddie Shin is sekushi.. :d

Woo! The short track championships rocked, even without Apolo. Kim Dong-Sung kicked all kinds of arse. He's not my Apolo's best friend, but I have to admit... he's an amazing skater. In one race (the 1500m final, I believe) he shot out in front of the pack right away and finished one and a half laps ahead! Guess it was his way of saying, "Medal? I don't need no steenking Olympic medal." Yang Yang (A) was equally impressive. She wiped out the competition in the women's races. I believe this was the sixth time in a row she took first at worlds.
Rusty Smith did the best of all the Americans. Fifth place over all, if I remember correctly (I'm going to have to go back and watch my tape again). He's so cute. That's what I love about this sport.. not only is it incredibly exciting, it's filled with tons of cute boys. >.>;;
Enough with the short track. Here's a couple of nifty articles about Linkin Park and Nu Metal in general. I admit, I liked that first Linkin Park song and sometimes I find myself singing along with them on the radio. Then again, I find myself singing along with N' Sync. But they annoy me just as much as N' Sync too. Like the article says... they're just a boy band with angst. Just thought I'd get on my "Things that bug me" soapbox.*cough*

Wubble Hyde! XD
Sam got me hooked on Oekaki. I spend way to much time doing little MS Paintish drawings on an internet program. I don't know why. I can do it in Photoshop much more easily... it's just.... addictive. I can't even draw with a mouse.
Speaking of Sam, I finally added his and ^Kit Kat^'s Live Journal links to my little list over there. Took me a while. I'm a lazy bum.
Speaking of being a lazy bum (Yay! It's seque night!), I've got two papers to write this weekend... but I rented The One (Jet Li. *_*) and State of Emergency instead. I've already played a little of the game... it's a bit (read: a lot) disappointing. Who would have thought killing, looting, and breaking stuff would get boring so quickly? Should've listened to Gabe.
Anyway... everyone watch the World Short Track Championships on ABC tomorrow and 5:00 PM EST. It's gonna be groovy. Rusty Smith, Jon Guilmette, and Kim Dong-Sung will be there. :d Oh, and I drew Lulu.

Yay. I have Hyde's solo album. It's got some very, very tasty stuff. I think "Oasis" and "Unexpected" are my favorites. The beginning of "New Days Dawn" reminds of "Money" and "Kashmir" at the same time. >.> Hyde might be a Pink Flloyd and Led Zepplin fan. Or I might be a little insane. I have no idea. *cough*
Lauren has spoiled me. She suprised me with the Bahamut figure. It's ubercool. My friend (who will be my roomate in the fall) is scared of it, though. She'll have to get over it. He's living with us next year. :p
I went to see the theatre department's production of "Once Upon a Mattress" tonight. It was cute. And there were boys in tights. Yay.
I found this nifty comic, Cat and Girl via another nifty comic. Cat and Girl is a bit philisophical and a little pretentious, but it's just so odd you can't help but like it. Anyway... on to the vampires.

I've got such a tummy ache. I got too much candy for Easter and my birthday. >.< I'm disgusting.
Anyway... I did get my Tidus and my Apolo poster. They're both super-duper. And oh-so-pretty. Tidus is standing next to my computer looking all badass with his sword drawn. Apolo is on the wall right by my computer looking over my shoulder as I type this. He's pretty.. but it's starting to get a little creepy.
Now that I have my presents and my parents have gone home, I guess my birthday is officiall over. Bleah. That's no fun. Now I'm just old.
I saw Resivoir Dogs tonight. It was pretty cool. The torture scene scared me to death and I'm going to have nightmares... but the rest was pretty nifty. I like mob/ganster movies almost as much as I like kung fu films. Mmm. Violence.
I was going to say something else.. but I forget. I'll just leave you with a quiz. Haven't done that in a while.
Dammit. I was hoping for David Letterman.

Happy Birthday to me. >.> I'm twenty... and I'm not sure if I like it. I don't want to not be a kid anymore. If I keep having birthdays like this people are going to start expecting me to act like a responsible adult. I just can't hang with that.
In happier news, UPS tracking says my Tidus action figure was delivered, so I get him tomorrow. Yay! I hope the Apolo poster I bought from eBay gets here soon too. I'm getting worried about it. It would be nice to get two birthday presents in one day, though. :d
I went home for Easter. Went to my friend's bridal shower, went to church Sunday morning, had Easter dinner, and all kinds of fun stuff like that. I got to play a teensy bit of Shenmue II. It's tasty. I'm so glad it's in Japanese. I don't know if I could have taken four more disks of those voices. ^_^;; And Ren's voice is so kawaii. Ren is kawaii. If I don't get to see more Lan Di, at least I'll have Ren. And he's got a ponytail too! I should redo that shrine of mine again..
In more fun news, check out Dave Barry's take on short track. I love Dave Barry. ^_^
I'm tired, so I'm going to post this while I've still got birthday left. Bai bai.
