Of Course I've Had it in the Ear Before...
Just watching America's Most Wanted right now. I went out to eat with mom and Tom today. We went to the Great Wall Buffet - a Chinese restaurant. It was pretty good. We talked about my move to Ann Arbor.
I went to Best Buy yesterday and got Blondie "The Best of Blondie" and the movie Thelma and Louise (I love that movie). I'm very happy with my buys.
I have to do this thing for Consumer Ed. where I have to record everything I buy... It's not very fun. sable
Boys on the Radio

Well, I'm not going to be moving The American Ruse to toxicpink.net exactly. However, toxicpink.net will be hosting it in a way. You're going to have to see when I am done. But toxicpink.net is gonna be a big part of this, and this is going to be a big part of that (toxicpink.net/ruse - I should say). So, toxicpink.net will be hosting it, but The American Ruse will still be on Pitas. You'll see when it happens. Beginning of December. Blogger was pissing me off.
I watched Crazy in Alabama. Good movie. sable
I Want to be the Girl With the Most Cake...
11/12/00
Well, I'm not mad at mom anymore. I kinda let it blow over. Which I am happy about. But whatever. That's not what this entry is about.
I got my wonderful coming soon page up, at my soon-to-be host! I am so, so, so, happy about this!! I know you want to check it out! sable
I Think That I Could Die
11/12/00
Got in a bit of an argument with mom on the phone today. (Since she's never home.) I really don't want to get into the details of what the argument is all about. But my mom just pisses me off so much sometimes.
Anyhow, I want to talk about how happy I am to be getting hosted by Tamara...
I am very happy about this. Tamara is just so cool and so sweet. I wouldn't want anyone else hosting The American Ruse. It'll be really cool to really belong to a community - and a friend's community, at that. Having a stranger host any of my sites would just be too weird for me. I like having a friend host me, cause I know them, you know? And they know me. So, I am happy that a) I'm getting hosted, and b) I'm getting hosted by a friend. sable
Like a Prayer
11/11/00
I went to see The Exorcist with Sue today (tonight, whatever). The movie was ok. The needle scenes were gross, though, and there were too many. I hate needles, they freak me out.
After the movie, we went to the Burger King across from Tinseltown, but it was closed. Then, we went to Arby's, but they were "closed". (Though, Sue and I doubted that. Because the workers were hanging out and they had their friends come out and tell us, but whatever. If they don't want our money, then they don't have to have it. It can go somewhere else - someplace more deserving of it.) So, we went to the Burger King on 52nd, and yes, that one was actually open. I had a chicken sandwich.
Then we came back to my house, spent the next ten minutes in her car trying to get my keys out of her glove box. Finally got my keys out, and we went inside. We looked in her old, 7th grade year book, and then we looked in my 7th and 9th grade yearbook (I miraculously LOST my 8th grade yearbook), and we talked for a while. Then she went home.
Some important and good news... The American Ruse is getting hosted! Yay!! My friend Tamara (who is very, very, cool) at toxicpink.net will be hosting it. Thank-you Tamara! So come the end of November/beginning of December, The American Ruse will be there. Thank-you Tamara!
That's all. sable
P.S. - Fuck you, mother. I'm mad at you, stop acting like a fucking idiot. I love you, but you really need to get a fucking grip and realize that I'm not trying to scam you. Fuck you for thinking I would ever do something like that to you, fuck you. This feeling will pass, and I won't be mad at you, but geez!
Hazy Shade of Winter
11/10/00
It's actually starting to get cold in Wisconsin. Yeah, you're probably thinkin', "but you live in Wisconsin, of course it's going to get cold!" The thing is, we haven't had a huge snowfall in what seems eons! (In southeastern Wisconsin, anyway.) I mean, I remember walking to school in snow that was knee deep! (Sorry to sound like one of your grandparents, but it's true.)
Last summer was so mild. I mean, we had days in January and February that were in the mid-'70s, and people were walking around in their shorts! This just doesn't happen in the middle of winter in Wisconsin. You should be covered head-to-toe in all the warmest clothes you can find. Withe whether that is freezing, ice, snow, bitter, cold wind, et. al. I mean, I am grateful that the winters have been getting milder along the way, but it's still weird.
Well, it's starting to get cold now. And the heating in my house is shitty. We had it fixed, but I still find myself bring the space heater in my room at night when I go to sleep. I turn the heat up, and it still isn't warm enough.
Hey, maybe we'll get snow this winter! sable
Drain You
11/9/00
Not much has happened lately. *sigh* It's been very boring lately. Boring and cold. I have the heat on 70, and my toes and fingers still feel like they're going to fall off from Frostbite.
All this recounting... There's talk that there might be a recount for Wisconsin. Maybe even Iowa. *sigh*
Anyhow, I really like this picture of Kurt [Cobain]...
Yeah, that's all. I just wanted to say something. sable
It's Raining, it's Pouring...
11/6/00
Today was the first day of the second quarter. Blah blah blah. Nothing too exciting. Consumer Ed. doesn't seem like it's going to be much fun. *sigh* (Nothing against Mr. Slater who teaches the class, I just don't like Consumer Ed.)
Ugh. The weather is horrible here. It's raining. And my phone isn't working. I was supposed to help the Democratic party do a lit. drop today, but couldn't cause Paul couldn't get ahold of me. I don't know, it got all fucked up. *sigh*
What's worse, is there is a leak in the house, and it raining inside the living room. Like, badly. sable
P.S. - Wow! 2000+ people have viewed my journal! Cool!!
X-Files
All the Punk Rockers...
11/5/00
Well, today was another boring, bloody, Sunday, ha ha ha. Maybe with just a little twist. Yes, yes, a little twist. Oh yeah, and David Duchovny's character, Mulder, is coming to an end on the X-Files. Now that I think about it, I was on the computer a lot today...
I went to Tom's where mom made beef strogenoff. It was good. Meanwhile, I used Tom's CD burn to burn The Stooges album, "Fun House", for my brother Bobby (his Christmas present from me).
That was basically all. And this is so sweet! sable
X-Files
Babelogue
11/4/00
I can't believe David Duchovny is leaving the X-Files. The show won't be the same without him, that's for sure. I'm trying to be optimistic about Robert Patrick taking his role, but you know, it just won't be the same. *sigh* Hopefully the X-Files won't turn into Silk Stalkings. I mean, the first partners on Silk Stalkings were, of course, the best. The two that replaced them were cool, too, I liked them. But the third that replaced the second team, just wrecked it for me.
I burned my wrist today while making minute macoroni and cheese. That turned me off, so I ordered pizza. My wrist still hurts a little, but of course it would, I burned it.
I talked to Queen on the phone today! She's really cool. Yeah. sable
Where the Streets Have no Name
11/3/00
Today was a good day. I think I did good on my period 4A Infant Lab final. Talked with Adelle a lot after that. Adelle is really cool.
Today is my dad's 47th birthday. Happy birthday dad! I called him up at work and wished him a happy birthday. He forgets his age a lot, and he usually rounds up - he thought he was 50 once. But today he actually rounded down! He thought he was 46.
Didn't really do much today. I had an interesting AIM conversation with my friend Queen Narcissus. You can read that all here. (Ignore all the crap at the very end.)
Yeah, that was my day. Not mucho happened. sable
Wow!
Born in the USA
11/1/00
I don't know how Ronald Reagan could get a patriotic message out of this song outside of it's title. I mean, read the lyrics, it's pretty easy to understand.
Born in the USA
Born down in a dead man's town
The first kick I took is when I hit the ground
You end up like a dog that's been beat too much
Till you spend half your life just covering up
Born in the USA
I was born in the USA
I was born in the USA
Born in the USA
Got in a little hometown jam, so they put a rifle in my hand
Sent me off to a foreign land, to go and kill the yellow man
Born in the USA
I was born in the USA
I was born in the USA
I was born in the USA
Born in the USA
Come back home to the refinery
Hiring man says, "Son, if it was up to me"
Went down to see my V.A. man
He said, "Son, don't you understand now"
Had a brother at Khe Sahn, fighting off the Viet Cong
They're still there, he's all gone
He had a woman he loved in Saigon
I got a picture of him in her arms now
Down in the shadow of the penitentiary
Out by the gas fields of the refinery
I'm ten years burning down the road
Nowhere to run, ain't got nowhere to go
Born in the USA
I was born in the USA
Born in the USA
I'm a long gone daddy in the USA
Born in the USA
Born in the USA
Born in the USA
I'm a cool rocking daddy in the USA
-Bruce Springsteen
We had a half day today. Finals are tomorrow. Woo-hoo. sable
New Values
10/30/00
Today was an ok day. Not the best day or anything. *sigh*
I walk into TA (which is like a study hall - the TA stands for Teacher Adivsory), and I see Val there, right? It's beem like ages since I last seen Val in school - or so it seemed. So I walk in, and I'm like - in a sarcastic tone - "Oh my God! You're here!" And then Val is like, "Shut-up." And I went on by saying, "Where have you been?!" And then she says, "Shut-up!" By this time, Scott (the teacher) was like, "Stop it, blah blah blah."
Well what the fuck? When people give me a little shit - even if it's just a joke - and I want them to stop, and I make that clear, he never stops them. Unless I start screaming and throw a huge shitfit. Don't get me wrong, I like Scott and everything, and he's my favourite teacher, I just wish he'd tell someone to get off my ass that soon. It really does make me feel bad.
When someone would interupt me (accidentally or on purpose), he wouldn't say anything. He'd just pay attention to what they were saying and it was like I wasn't even saying anything. But when I would accidentally interupt someone, he'd yell at me! What the fuck? The only way I'd get him to notice what had happened was if I went apeshit.
And what does throwing shit fits and going apeshit make me look like? A whiney bitch. But I'm not going to let people walk on me, you know? Fuck this.
Today in Infant Lab, Jesenia puked on me. Gross, but she's one beautiful little girl. sable
Sunday, Boring Sunday
10/29/00
I woke up with a headache today. That really bit the big one. Headaches suck. As do any other aches suffered by one's body organs.
Beatrice Arthur (she played Dorothy on Golden Girls) was on Malcolm in the Middle today. I usually don't watch that show, but I did today. I was on the net while waiting for the X-Files to come on. But the X-Files are on now. sable
When You Ride, You're Ridden
10/28/00
Here is the account of my trip with my dad. From Thursday up until the concert.
Thursday
Today was ok, it started off good, but got kinda bad for a while, but it became good again.
Around Gurnee, IL., we hit a traffic jam. It was ugly. It was also around that time that I expressed my bitterness about how I wasn't invited along on the trip to Spain. (Though, everyone else got to go - my dad only paid for himself.)
That argument was followed by an argument about my moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan. Like my Uncle Chris, my dad thinks I won't survive. (Though my Uncle Chris also thinks I won't make it out there, even.) I told my dad I was going out there with or without his help.
When we reached Springfield [Illinois], we went to the old Capitol building for the tour. After the tour, they showed a video. I fell asleep. Dad said he was about to wake me up, but realized it was probably smart of me to have fallen asleep, cause he thought it was rather boring, too.
After the tour of the old Capitol building, we went for a tour of Lincoln's house. At the information center, where you get the free tickets, I got a word search. We looked around the neighborhood a little, and then took the tour of Lincoln's house.
We then went out to eat at Applebee's before going to see a movie. Even though I already seen Almost Famous, I went to go see it again with my dad. He really wanted to see it, and I didn't mind seeing it again.
Tomorrow is going to be exciting... Or so I hope.
Oh, and I was also really upset about how Ramada Inn Limited did not have a hair dryer. ARRG. All hotels/motels should come equipped with hair dryers. Who agrees?
Friday
Today, dad and I went to see Lincoln's tomb. It was a very nice tomb. I should have some pictures of that, as well as some pictures of other parts of the trip, soon.
We then made our way to Starved Rock.
Starved Rock was very nice. The view was very pretty. (Not to sound like a bitch - and excuse me for being bias - but Wisconsin has much prettier views. But the views were beautiful, none-the-less.)
After Starved Rock, we made our way up to Galena. We took some back roads, which were very pretty, and very interesting. A lot of the towns we passed through reminded me of towns in Wisconsin.
We ended up staying a little outside of Galena at an expensive hotel called, Chestnut Mountain Resort. A very nice hotel.
We had dinner (I had a petite Felite Mingnon), and we got a VCR and a video. We rented The Siege. I had already seen this movie (I haven't mentioned this "little" obsession with Bruce Willis, have I?) in the movie theaters with my mom, but I was willing to watch it again. (Bruuuce.)
Bruce is best in the Die Hard trilogies. Though he can play a bad guy good, he's so much batter as a good guy. Face it, you know Bruce is great as John McClane. Who else could play that character?
Today (Saturday)
Dad and I went out to eat at a little restaurant in Galena, then we rode around Galena "sight seeing". There are some hilly streets in Galena, let me tell you!
After riding around for a little, we headed home. This was around noon. We made it back at 4 in the afternoon. At 5 pm, Sue and her parents came and picked me up. We were off to see Marilyn Manson.
It was a good show. I slept through the first two acts, but MM was pretty good. I enjoyed the stilts. Those were cool. sable
Oh, The Guilt
10/25/00
Ok, so I am changing layouts again. Ha ha ha. What is this? The millionth time this month? I love The Stooges, and all, but I just got really tired of that layout really fast. *sigh* November's layout is of Kurt Cobain. I was going to do a more blue-ish layout (with another picture), but I ran across the picture to the left, and liked it a whole lot more. So, here the new layout is!
Ok, there's a real reason beyond getting tired of The Stooges layout for the sudden change. I have Thursday (tomorrow) and Friday off of school, and I am going on a trip around the state of Illinois with my dad. (No, I'm not complaining about this, nor am I forced to go. It's something I want to do.) I will be getting home from the trip on Saturday, but then I'm off to see Marilyn Manson live at The Rave. (I'm revelling in my jr. high days, I'm not a big MM fan anymore, but I think he is interesting to see him live. Though it would be much funner if Hole was touring with them again - too bad that didn't work out.)
School was ok today, I guess. Not much really happened. I kind of snapped at Paul, my period 1B math teacher, which I am feeling kind of bad about. He caught me reading in class, and he was like, "I never want to catch you reading in class again." (Even though I'm done with my work.) And I kind of snapped on him, cause I was reading to give my neck and upper back a break, it was aching from all the work I was doing, and the period was almost over, anyway. Period 2, I just went to the library. In TA, I finished reading the book, Bad Blood: Crisis in the American Red Cross. I also finished writing the little report I did on it and gave it to Scott. Infant lab (period 4A) was pretty good. Marquis is funny. All the kids are so cute.
Yep. That was my oh-so exciting day. I'm also a moderator at the Sugarless.ws message board(my username is: suicide samurai). sable
