Yes, it is the world series because the MLB is the highest tier of professional baseball in the world. The only other country that could even compare in terms of the popularity of their league is Japan, and even then the Japanese league is clearly subordinate to the American leagues. Their best players, time after time, "move up" to the American leagues, because the level of competition is so much higher.
I believe the movie that best illustrates this concept is Mr. Baseball, starring Tom Selleck.

Vanilla Pepsi, I must say, tastes better then Vanilla coke. Now, normally I can't tell the difference between the two, but I was bored at work and I had a taste comparrassion one day, and Pepsi is sweeter, less of an after taste (not to mention more caffinated, which is a plus), so yeah, I normally drink Dr. Pepper anyway. <_<
