syracuse!

so i went to syracuse yesterday. if you want the ordeal of the airport security system, go to z-c.com and check the archive for the group diary thing.

so syracuse is a hill. but that's ok. it's got a fabulous comm program, which excites me...and i think i could get in, which also excites me...yay. the visual/performance art building is SO cool, architectually speaking. plus i can get into photography through comm. yay.

and the dorms are cool. co-ed by room, that's all i have to say.

the only thing that sucks about syracuse is the fact that it's in syracuse. 200" of snow a year? coldness all the time? middle of nowhere? ugh.

fee called today. and i was home. yay =).

casey kasem=shaggy?!

i never knew that!

that's quite possibly the funniest thing i've heard in awhile. now every time i watch scooby doo, i'm going to watch for shaggy to say "c'mon scoob! it's time for our long distance dedication, which comes to us today from leslie mae in orsville, nebraska. leslie mae writes...zoinks!"

*snickers uncontrollably*

the american top 40 sponsored by scooby snacks.

serendipity-doo-dah!

if you want to go to the movies, but you're not sure what to see, may i HIGHLY recommend serendipity. seriously. that was one of the best movies i have seen in theatres in a long time. SO good. if i had three thumbs, they'd all be up. but since i only have two, i guess that'll have to do (hey, that rhymes!). i just wished i could have seen it with felix...:(

that's all for now.

buy erin's kristin lavransdatter study guide!

guess who failed her kristin lavransdatter test? *raises hand* guess who doesn't care? *keeps hand raised*

oh well, life goes on...long after the thrill of living is gone.

...did i just make a john mellencamp reference? weird. i must be tired.

mission day's mission: ursuline academy! (oh, and catholic charities)

i hate how a lot of the proceeds that we make at mission day don't go to the actual charity. no no, they go to our school. because our school is now a deserving, needy charity...

for those of you whom i might have lost, mission day is this big event at my school where all the homerooms set up little stores and whatnot (bakery, country store, candy store, jail, haunted house, coffee shop, etc.) and we girls have a fun-filled day of eating sugar, having fun, and eating more sugar. and this year was supposed to be the big huzzah. i mean, we're seniors, and we get to do the countdown balloon pop! but unfortunately, i just overhyped it and it just wasn't as much fun as i wanted it to be. sad, really.

well, adieu.

"your teacher's full of snot!"

ahh, that was a good rocko episode. did anyone else besides me and my brother enjoy that show? well, whatever. that's actually a reference to the fact that my english teacher doesn't like me and doesn't want anyone to have an opinion outside her own. ugh.

updates:
*updated personal
*added new pictures, took down old ones

america, god shed his grace on thee

i have never seen such a display of american pride as i have today. everyone carrying flags (in school, we all had little flags in our hair and on our shirts). candlelit vigils complete with resounding car horn orchestra. people dressed in red, white, and blue. totally awesome. i taped up my free flag thingies from mobil (thanks, mobil!) in my car, honked my horn at the crowds on the sidewalk...it was exciting.

god bless america...land that i love.

unless the cops are following me. speaking of which, i pulled into my complex tonight and there was a cop in front of me, then one behind me...with their searchlights on and directed at the buildings on the right. kinda creepy.

there's gonna be some new pics up at some point...gotta show off my new hair! yay!
