Wargh. Double-shift at work. That means 20 hours shift. That means 20 hours of *cksrh* "Klages, you there?" and me jumping out of my skin each time. That means 20 hours of wanting a real tea in a real cup and not that icky stuff from the thermos. Yeah, call me a stupid bitch, but I don't like to drink my good teas from the thermo. Something always tastes of metal. 20 hours of sitting with the guys, and seeing the sun rise and fall. It's weird - when I started the job, I was supposed to only be on the nightshifts. Now we're so short of people thanks to the bug going around, Abritti's sticking us into double shifts whenever he can and we can. Tired people don't make good guards. No more free days till...September? Short weekends. Sometimes no weekends. This is life. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Seem to have caught the sleeping bug. My 'nap' from yesterday turned into an eight-hour snooze. My 'nap' of today turned into a two-hour snooze. Cat woke me up demanding food. Dragged self to the comp. Bleh. Not all 'there' yet.

I hate it when I have a wound somewhere that scabs. Not because it hurts. Scabbing means it's already healing and the pain is an afterthought. I hate it because I start picking at it and scratch the scabbing off. I fell down some stairs and scraped the inside of my left foot open. No big deal. I've had worse. This afternoon I was downloading some stuff and suddenly noticed that my fingers felt sticky. When I looked at them, they were bloody. I'd scratched the damn scabbing off without even paying attention to it. So I clean it, put a big fat bandaid on it, and ten minutes later catch myself scratching at the bandaid. What am I supposed to do, tie my hands to the keyboard? Maybe I should stick a post-it to the top of my screen: DO NOT SCRATCH AT THE SCABBING. Yeah. Right. The way I know myself, I'd probably read it while tearing into the wound and wondering why the hell I'd put it up there because noooo, good old Nin would never do that, would she? Yeah. Right.

Mwaha. I wanted to use a different theme for this layout, but after some fiddling around in PSP I decided this one is more to my liking. So everyone complaining about me liking romantic and mushy songs can just about shut up now.
