Mommy Screams! - ARCHIVES
Happy Thanksgiving!! I've been soOoo busy lately that I've hardly been on the computer. Since my last post.... my husband didn't make it to the finals =o( he was one game away from finals and lost. It was a really close game too, it went into overtime and there just wasn't enough time for them to make a point. =o( Anyways... what else happened.... I've got lots more content coming soon. I'm put them together now I just need to ftp and *BAM!* more content! =oP I also added more wagons to my train. Go visit my lovely passengers, they're just soOo sweet and nice. As for yesterday... my husband and I went to Bakersfield today to go buy a honey baked ham. We got there at about 5pm and there was a longgggg line. The good thing was that there were 5 lines, so things went by pretty quick. While I was in line, I overheard people mentioning reservations for hams. I was getting sort of scared because I wasn't sure about whether we had to have reservations or not (this was my first time buying a honey baked ham) It wasn't until I reached the door that I felt relef. One of the workers said that reservations were not needed, they are just priority. Anyways, I'm at the counter and I ask what sizes are left and all they had were 8 1/2-9 lbs. the price range was like $44-$55. LOTS OF MONEY!! It was sort of asking too much, especially since I was expecting to get a smaller size. Oh well... I got it anyways, I didn't want to leave empty handed. So now we've got this 8.86 lb honey baked ham...mmmm sounds yummy! I can't wait to taste it! Want some? There's plenty to go around! =o) - Mommy Lala screamed

Ok I remember what I was going to post (for my last entry).... You know when you've taken a nice and cool refreshing drink of something then say "AHHH!" because it quenched your thirst? Well, Jordan does that when he drinks from a cup. Also, you know when you're eating some food you say "mmmmm"? Well, Jordan does that too! It is just the cutest thing! You have to see it to get a real good idea of what I mean. I also wanted to mention that whenever Jordan jumps he can get off of the ground now. Before when he would try to jump he would just go on his tippy-toes and raise his hands in the air. One of these days I'm going to try to catch these "milestones" on camera. - Mommy Lala screamed

This morning my husband, Michael, left for basketball practice and I stayed home to get started on my term paper and watch Jordan. At first me and Jordan were downstairs watching tv when I decided to get started on my term paper. So what I did was leave Jordan downstairs to watch cartoons while I was upstairs on the computer typing up my paper. I was afraid to leave him on his own because I didn't want him climbing up the stairs or getting into the kitchen cabinets. From time to time I would check on him and he was in the same exact spot and position as I left him. He was watching Blues Clues and Dora the Explorer while I was working on my paper. Once those two shows were over he began looking for me so I had to put my paper on hold. What I'm trying to say is that he is getting older and more capable to take care of himself (to some extent). Gosh... my baby isn't much of a baby anymore. He's a big boy now! There was something else that I was meaning to post but now when I try to think of it, I can't remember. If I remember later on I'll post it, obviously if I don't remember then I won't. - Mommy Lala screamed

I'm completely finished with the NA Program at school and finally get to spend some time with my baby Jordan. I miss him so much and haven't had much time to play with him and hold him and sometimes I hardly get to see him. But now I have all the time in the world for him (except for Tues and Thurs nights). When we get up in the morning we wash up then either play with his toys or watch tv. More and more I'm noticing that he's getting more interested in watching cartoons and stuff. He'll keep still and focus on the tv when Blue's Clues, Dora the Explorer, Rugrats, and some other cartoons are on. Sometimes I even find him focusing on music videos, Nascar racing, and toys commercials. Just yesterday, me and Jordan were playing in the family room and looking at the fish. At some point while we were playing he heard the theme song to Rugrats. The next thing I know... he starts running to the living room to go watch tv. Uh-Oh... I gotta get going. Someone is beginning to crave for attention. Anyways, Michael (my husband) has a basketball tournament this weekend and I'm going to watch him play. The team he's playing with is one that him and his friend put together. It's a combination of basketball teams that he's been on. The winners of the tournament win a turkey and that's how the tournament got it's name. I forgot what it was called all I remember was how it got its name and that it was sort of a funny name. Oh well! Anyways, it's not a big tournament. I think there's only 5-6 teams. They're guarenteed at least 2 games and the entry fee was like $150. He's really excited because he hasn't been in a tournament since last year. He normally is in a tournament 2-4 times a year. Tournaments he's been in are: Cinco de Mayo Tournament, City League, Filipino Weekend Tournament, Filipino Athletic League, and now the Thanksgiving Tournament. He's always talking about tournaments and how badly he wants to be in one. He's really excited about this tournament because this is his first tournament this year. Filipino Athletic League was limited this year and his team didn't get a chance to be included--he was really disappointed about it!! One more thing before I go... Note to self: Jordan's growing teeth on the top/back, uh molars? premolars? whatever! - Mommy Lala screamed

Jordan is now 15 months old. He is beginning to (try to) talk now. He is really playful and enjoys playing with his uncle Mark. He knows the meaning of no when someone tells him "NO!" and he knows what he wants by responding with a nod saying "no". He still likes to go outside, but I can't let him go out as much anymore since it's beginning to get cold. Changes he's gone through since my last post is... he's teething right now and the count is 5 on top, 3 on bottom, and more are still growing. Those are the only ones that are completely out. Other than that? He's not had a full hair cut except for the trimming of his bangs. On the other hand, I would like to mention.... "I passed I passed I passed!!!" I am now a Certified Nursing Assistant. (and so is my husband) =o) We both had our testing yesterday and OMG it wasn't as bad as we had thought. Actually, it was pretty easy. We were sweatin' it for nothing. Our instructors had told us over and over and over that it was nothing to worry about. It would be easy and nothing to it. They were right! I feel sort of bad though. Four people in our class did not pass. =o( Two of them did not bring 2 forms of identification (Drivers license & SS card). One of them had a problem with her last name and the other had gotten her purse stolen the day before. Without 2 forms of identification you are unable to take the tests. So what they have to do is pay $25 and take the test when they come back, which probably won't be until the end of next semester. The other two people had problems performing 1 skill. The two of them should have had any problems performing the skill that they got. There was just something that prevented them from performing correctly. One of them was sick and the other was just tooooooo nervous. I could only imagine how they were feeling.... sad, so sad.... =o( - Mommy Lala screamed

My finals for the academy are over and I passed!! *phew* I had my completion ceremony today and it was sort of sad and also fun. Fun in a way because we got to mingle and share a couple of thoughts with eachother and sad in a way because we won't be seeing each other anymore. =o( Actually the last day we'll be seeing each other will be tomorrow when we have to take our ARC Test. Other than that... we're on our separate ways. However, I heard of about 5 other of my class mates who I will possibly meeting in Spring 2004 in the RN Program. So I'm a little eager for that time to come. Anyways, I've got to study for my ARC Test tomorrow and *crosses fingers* I hope I pass! It's really scary on what's going to happen tomorrow for my test because it's a random choice of skills to perform. I know you don't understand what I mean, but I'll try to explain. There are certain skills that a NA has to perform in order to get their certificate. Tomorrow I will randomly choose 3 cards with skills on them and I have to perform each skill flawlessly. So I'm a little scared on what skills I might get because there are a couple (like 3-4) skills that I have trouble with. And from what I heard.... the skills that you have trouble performing, those are the skills that you will get on the test. So when I heard that I got even more scared..... *I hope I pass, I hope I pass....* - Mommy Lala screamed

Two more weeks!! Two more weeks of the program and I'm all done!!!! It's finally coming to an end and I'll be a Certified Nursing Assistant! I've got my finals this wednesday for two of my classes (in the program) and I hope I do ok. I don't want to fail the test and end up taking the whole program over again. That would really suck! Sad to say, but one of my close friends in the program got dropped a little over a week ago. So I feel bad for her, especially because the reason why she got dropped. My instructor dropped her for some small mistake that everyone (and I mean everyone!) forgets to do. Anyways, I've got to study study study for my finals that are coming up so wish me luck!! - Mommy Lala screamed
