Happy Birthday to me!!!

Friday, May 23, 2003

Gosh darn it... I've got to dedicate myself to this site before my little boy's life passes right by before my eyes. This site and pictures are all that I've got of my first months of my little boy. Right now he's fast asleep. He looks like such an angel. I can't believe how much he's grown in the past year. I can hardly believe that he's not really a baby anymore. Just the other day I was looking through his baby album and he was so tiny compaired to right now. I can still remember how he was when he was just a new born but it's beginning to get a little fuzzy. Well at least I've got pictures to refresh my memory of how this little looked when he was just a new born baby. I've thought about that saying again, "How could you love someone so much that you've barely met?" in regards to a new born baby. I know that through these past 21 months I've gotten to know him, but when he was barely born I had all the love for him that I could give him and I've continued to do so. He's learning how to talk and can say a variety of words and even cliches. Some of the words that I believe he just begun to say are wassup, sleep, I love you, & come here. I also begun to notice that he's been climbing up and down the stairs standing up (of course by holding the wall or the railing). Whenever I catch him standing while going up or down the stairs I always tell him to either wait for me or to sit down, and he'll listen. I can talk to him as if he understands me because majority of the time he does understand me. I can tell him it's time to eat and he knows where to sit down. I can tell him that it's time to take a bath and he'll attempt to take off his clothes and go into the restroom. I can tell him it's time to sleep and he'll know to go into bed and even pull his blankets to cover himself. I can tell him that we're going out and he'll grab his shoes and try to put them on. I can tell him to do all kinds of things and he knows what to do. The only thing right now that I'm expecting him to learn is to do the duty in the toilet. He likes to sit down on the toilet and flush it but he doesn't seem to use it when he's sitting down on the toilet. I guess it's just not his time yet or he doesn't know when he has the urge to go yet. Well, I guess I'll have to finish this later because I've got company right now.
