My baby's 1st birthday is coming up. Actually, we'll be celebrating his birthday this coming weekend. His birthday theme is the Rugrats and the party will be held at my parents house. I wanted to have his party held at the park, but by the time I decided to have it at the park it was already reserved by someone else. Oh well, there's always next year.

More and more my baby is growing up. He's babbling more, walking around more, getting bigger, sleeps through the night better, and more. It's sort of hard to keep up with his growth because he's growing up so fast. What I've noticed these past couple of days was how he reacts to certain things. I mean, he likes to immitate certain gestures. For example, he immitates someone when they're on the phone. What he does is put either his hand or whatever's in his hand against his ear and starts babbling. It's so cute that I laugh every time I see him do that. Oh the joys of being a mommy! =o)

It is the beginning of Filipino Weekend. The ceremony began at 10am for the parade, then 2pm for the childrens amusements, 4pm for the singing contest, and so on and so on. All that I did today was go to the parade in the morning, then go to the park to find a good place to sit own. We were luck that not that many came so early in the morning. Otherwise all the nice shaded areas would have been taken. I think I'm gonna sit down at the same place tomorrow. That's a really nice place to kick back. Anyways, I think I'm gonna go now... I'm falling asleep on the computer. I even had to delete most of what I wrote down right now because it's all nonsense. Hehe, I'm still typing even though I'm falling asleep... the only thing is that it's all nonsense. =oP Well, I'll probably write more tomorrow since I'll be going to the park again tomorrow to watch the dancing contest. Bye for now!

Today I went to my hubby's company picnic. OMG! It was sOoo HOT!!! But I guess I got used to it because we ended up staying for the whole day. At the picnic there were various activities. My cousin and I played a couple games of bingo and we both were close to getting bingos plenty of times but never got one. Actually, I did get bingo, but the rules were "if you have bingo call it before the next number is called." That's some bullcrap, because the lady who was calling the numbers was reading them TOO fast!! I didn't notice that I had bingo until the next number was called because she didn't wait for at least a couple of seconds longer! I was sad, but then again if I did win I dunno what I would do with the prize. The prize was BBQ utensils. Oh well, I guess that's life "you snooze, you lose." =o

After the picnic, I went with my baby, my hubby and his friends to ATMS where I watched them play basketball. One of my friends from high school was there and when he says hi he usually give a high five. There's nothing bad about a "hi" and a "high five", but with this guy and his high fives.... well, he slaps hard. And when he gave me a high five that time, he hurt my hand and just a little while ago I noticed that I have a bruise on my palm. Sheesh! I knew this would happen, from the time he hit my hand it stung badly. =o

It's starting to get late and I need some sleep because tomorrow until Tuesday night I will be up studying late for my Psychology Finaland I'll be getting up early because I have to watch my baby. After Wednesday, I won't have to worry about school at least until the end of next month and I'll get to spend more time with my baby. Good, I need some rest and relaxation before next semester starts because I'm going to have a full load of classes. Wish me luck! I need it!

Yesterday, my lil boy started walking on his own. Before, someone had to balance him to stand before he started to walk. But now, he'll just get up and walk on his own! My lil baby is growing soOo fast! And today, he's been walking all over the place touching whatever he can reach. I get scared sometimes thinking that he might fall down and bang his head on the floor. So far, he hasn't and that's good. Maybe I should just stop being a little protective and realize that my lil baby isn't really a baby anymore. I guess it's just hard to see your baby grow up, especially when you want your baby to stay a baby forever. Hehe, I dunno if that made sense... I guess it's a mommy kind of thing. Now my baby has 6 teeth: 4 on top, 2 on bottom. He's speaking more... baa ba ba baa, da da da, mum mum mum...
