This will be my first attempt at Monday Madness I saw it from this site and I found it very interesting. Here goes nothing....

1. I often wake up before my alarm clock goes off. False, I used to wake up before my alarm clock went off, but now that I have a baby he's my alarm clock. He always gets up before me and wakes me up.

2. I love to drive; in any kind of weather! False, only because I don't drive (yet). I'm way over the driving age and I know I should be driving already but for some odd reason (which I don't know) I just don't drag my ass to DMV to get my damn license.

3. I'd rather have to worry about staying warm than staying cool. True, I find it easier to put more clothes on to stay warmer than to take clothes off to stay cooler. Heat (staying cool) really sucks cause the weather really sucks where I'm from when it's hot.

4. I wish I lived in another state. False, nah! I love my state! I love it where I am right now... I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

5. Multi-tasking is what I do best! True, I always multi-task. At times I may not be efficient at it, but I do it quite often and hardly find myself not multi-tasking.

6. Flying is the only way to go! True/False, can't really decide... I've only flown somewhere once, but if you've got the money to fly anywhere or everyone then sure thing... 'flying is the only way to go'.

7. Budgeting my money is one of my downfalls. True, I often withdraw my limit at the bank and can't keep track of how I tend to spend it all.

8. I wish there was 8 days in the week! True/False, can't really decide on this one either. I guess it depends... would this 8th day be a weekend or weekday? If it was a weekend then of course! I could always use an extra day away from school. But if it was a weekday, I don't think I'd really like it... an extra day of school? Nah, I think I'll pass.

9. I get at least 7 hours of sleep a night. False, probably 1 day out of the week I'll get 7+ hours during the night. The other days I'll get a short nap during the day to make up for lost sleep.

10. I'm a night owl. False, I used to be one... not anymore. I've got to be home early to take care of my son.

Last weekend I went to Big Bear Lake with my family and my in-laws. We left around 8:30a and met up with my bro-in-law and his family at Pasadena. We had breakfast at McDonald's before we headed off to Big Bear Lake since all the kids were hungry. My hubby got directions to Big Bear Lake off of Yahoo! Maps and we followed them. However, there seems to have been a mistake which threw us off track, but no biggie... we stopped by a nearby gas station to get directions only to find that the directions from Yahoo! Maps stated "W" when it's really "E".

Anyways, the drive to Big Bear Lake was a little scary because all the twists and turns while driving up the mountains. While driving up the mountains we all were a little skeptical about whether there would be snow or not. (Sheesh, why only now do we wonder if there would be any snow or not... we should have worried about this way before we left.) Fortunately, as we got closer and closer to Big Bear our thoughts became more a reality as we saw patches of ice and snow. At one point we even saw a grip load of cars stopped on the side of the road playing with the snow. We would have stopped but we would rather head to one of the snow resorts where we could slide down hills and stuff.

Finally reaching Big Bear Lake after a long drive we were really excited, but our hopes soon went down only to find that there were so many people and so little snow. We stopped at Bear Mountain first but didn't stay because there were too many people and long lines. Then we headed to Snow Summit. When we got there we were all excited but then again were down because there wasn't a place for the kids to play. Snow Summit was only for skiers and snow boarders. The girls and kids got stuck sitting around while the guys went boarding. It was cool I guess. Jordan and Juleen were sliding in the sled in the spectators area since there was hardly anyone in the way. It didn't hurt anyone with two little kids sliding down in the area, besides it was slippery and it kept them put for a while. Whatever makes them happy is fine with me. It began getting dark and really cold (about 36 degrees F) and everyone was getting restless and unpatient as we waited for the guys.

Soon after the guys decided to call it a night and we headed off back home, but before we headed home we stoped by Carl's Jr to use the restrooms and ended up having our dinner there. At Carl's Jr they kept messing up our order. First they didn't give all of our cups, I think they forgot to give 2 cups... did they think that we weren't going to notice? Then after recieving our food we notice that there were some food missing. When we told one of the workers it took them forever to figure out what we were missing and then the manager had to come out to straighten things out. And for all the trouble they gave us one free small fries... wow, what are we supposed to do with one small fries? Half it with everyone? Shoot, there were like ten of us and they gave one free small fries?

Maybe if they gave us two or three small fries then it would have been ok... oh well, there was nothing we could do about it. Once we were done eating we parted ways with my bro-in-law and his family because they were headed in a different direction and then headed home.

On the way home it was much more quiet than it was as we left home since everyone was asleep. It was like any other drive home except for the last 20 mins or so. Fog hit really hard and it was difficult to see the road. Yet, my hubby was still able to drive 70 mph in the fog. Others were driving like 50, but for some reason my hubby drove 70. He said that the fog didn't impair his driving and that he cold see fine. There were even a few cars that stayed close to us (almost tailgating) to keep the 70 mph pace and when we exited they all slowed down again because I guess they couldn't see very well in the fog. I'm not sure what time it was when we got home, all I remember is knocking out. If I get a chance, I'll try to post some pictures of our trip.

This past weekend was also my two good friend's surprise baby shower. Marites and Wilfredo will be expecting a baby boy soon and celebrated it this past weekend with friends and family. Unfortunately, due to my family trip my hubby and I were unable to make it to their baby shower. We did however get them a gift but again due to our trip we were unable to deliver it and missed them the next day when we planned on dropping it off. We had already missed them when we stopped by their parents house. Hopefully they don't already have/buy the same thing as our gift. I'm pretty sure that if they do they'll find a use for it. Good luck on your delivery Marites. Marites and Wilfredo... congrats, good luck, and I know that you'll be great parents. We love you guys and miss you very much.

We hope to see you guys soon.

The other day Jordan's ninong, Ricky, came by the house to drop off Jordan's Christmas gift. Jordan opened it right away when he got his hands on it. His present was a red Echo Unlimited zip-up hoodie. I put it on him to see how it would and it fit perfectly. And Ricky thought that it wasn't going to fit. I was going to ask Ricky if he'd like to stay for a while and maybe play with Jordan but he said that he had to go somewhere and run errands or something. Jordan also received another gift over the weekend, it was from my oldest sister and her family. He got blue windbreaker pants, a red "Slam Dunk" sweater, and a big purple "Hot Wheels" car. My sister also had a gift for me, it was a blue "Dickies" tee and a pair of blue "Dickies" pants. She also got me a starter charm bracelet and my very first charm. The charm that she gave me was Tigger because I llllllooooovvvvveeeeee Tigger! I was practically the only person who didn't have a charm bracelet, but thanks to my sister, Gen, I've got my very own braclet. Thank you sister!

My daddy left for Alaska on Wednesday (7th). =o( I won't be able to see him for the next 3 months, plus my mommy is going to be home all alone. I've got to make plans to spend more time with my mommy, especially since both of my sisters live so far away and that I live the closest to her. With my daddy gone things are going to be a little hectic once school starts. I normally go to school from the morning or early afternoon until late at night. My mommy goes to work from the early morning to the mid afternoon (6:30a-3p or 8:30a-6p) and then again late at night to early morning (10p-6a). If my daddy hadn't left for Alaska, I wouldn't have to worry about who would watch Jordan while I was at school because my daddy would be on his off season vacation. Man... this next semester is going to be stressful and full of worries.

Oh, the sad thing about my daddy being gone is that he's snowed in at the Seattle airport. He should have been at Alaska already but is stuck at the airport. I was really bummed out when my mommy told me this because it's bad enough that he has to leave us to go to Alaska, but now he's stuck somewhere where he shouldn't be. Probably the only good thing about him being stuck at the airport is that he's not alone. He's there with 4 of his friends... so that's good right? At least he's not alone. I pray that he gets out of Seattle soon so he can relax in the comforts of his own private room rather than a crowded airport and also... that none of his belongings get lost or stolen. I LOVE YOU DADDY!

It is now 2004.... this past year seemed to have went by pretty quickly for me. Lots of things happened last year. For one thing... a couple of my good friends had their first child last year. And another thing... Jordan has grown soOooo much. I can hardly remember everything that he's gone through because so much has happened. Now he's talking more than ever and seems to be known for saying a few phrases. His most infamous phrase is "whatcha doing?". He can ask that question over and over and over and not get tired asking "whatcha doing?". At the moment he's asleep... sleeps throughout the night, moves a lot, and doesn't like using a blanket even if it's cold. The year of 2003 reminds me of how much Jordan has grown from a baby to a toddler. I just hate the fact that he's not a baby anymore and that he's more independant. It's almost like he doesn't need me very much... anymore. I miss 2003... I'm going to treasure the year of 2003.
