Okay, news flash... I'm not going to archive this page with the Utena Layout. I can't make it work the way I want, as the entries get longer. SO! I'm going to take a screen cap of it, and call it done, and replace it with Kureno come June. ::nodnod::

Saturday, I went for a walk with my parents in the morning. Got a TINY bit of color... not enough to be noticeable. But that's okay. I don't really want a tan, just enough color so that I don't look sickly pale. I was born with Olive-tone skin, but with all the time I spend indoors, I've gotten to be extremely pale. Heh. Even with the little bit of time I've spent outdoors, my hair has lightened A LOT. I really like my hair when it's lighter, but I refuse to actually lighten my hair with chemicals.

This was a while back, but I was making these little Inu Yasha "dolls", but I only got around to doing Kagome and Miroku before I left for Hawai'i. My goal is to make one for each character that was used in the Inuyasha Blog Marathon, and give the little dolls to each of the people who had the same characters in their blogs. ^_^ Kim-chan seems to like Miroku, and Sakura-san hasn't been online, so I haven't yet given her Kagome yet. But aren't they cute?

I went to buy The Last Unicorn paperback at Borders the other day... but even though their computers said it was in stock, in store, I couldn't find it even after looking up and down the shelves multiple times. ;_; I was disappointed. Very. However, I HAVE convinced Kim to look into the book and the animated movie. ^_^ Spread the Love! This really makes me want to finish that "The :ast Unicorn" music video I started.

I'm very excited about next year's convention. ^_^ I just might have put together an Inu Yasha Cosplay Group. See... I wanted to do someone from Inu Yasha, since it's my latest anime obsession... so I thoguht, I could do Sango. Her Yukata is easy enough. Then, I thought, my friend Nate would make a good Miroku, and assuming he likes the series once I show it to him, he's agreed to do him. ^^ I've already convinced Liz to do Kagome, if Joe will do Inu Yasha. XD and then we could make Shippou out of a cabbage patch doll. ::cackles:: Oh yes. I was much in a cosplay mood. Yesterday, I spent a nice chunk of time on the internet, just looking up costume patterns. I found atleast 2 or 3 potential patterns for each of the costumes I ever want to make. ^ ^ Ice Skating costumes work nicely for Sailor Senshi fuku... a Bikini pattern for Sailor Star Maker, a Kimono Pattern, and various kimono-style robe patterns for Sango and Miroku. Then there was a bunch of bodice-and-skirt prom-dress pattern combos for use with Rubymoon, and the Green Rose Bride gown. Plus, various cheerleading costumes that could be used nicely for school uniforms in the instance of Hikaru and Tohru. In addition to costumes, I also intend to make the most of this convention. I'm going to enter the Music Video Contest, the Fanfiction contest, the Karaoke Contest, The Cosplay/Masquerade, and if Devine Stretch gets off the ground, even the Manga Contest, if they still have it. I also wanna Make some stuff to sell in Artists Alley. ^_^ ::sighs:: but I'm not gonna start on anything, until Nate gets the e-mail back about when our Gradutaion is... the dates for the con fall around the end of the semester, and I'm worried we might be having graduation then.

I told Hibari that I would put all my downloaded episodes of Inuyasha onto disks and e-mail them to her. I just need to find out if I'm gonna have her pay for the disks, or shipping. She's already told me to jsut tell ehr how much it is, and she'll pay it. ^ ^ it's certianly cheaper than she'd probably hafta pay to buy it all on DVDs. ::nod:: ^_^ but I'm happy to spread the Inu Yasha joyness.

Yesterday, we went out to lunch with one of my parent's friends. That was okay...my chicken was a little dry. Then we went to the arts fair that they have every weekend under the banyan tree. That was okay...nothing terirbly impressive there. I also looked for a hat around Lahaina...but couldn't find one that I liked enough to pay 20 bucks for. I'm sure I'll find one eventually.

Then, we went to see The Matrix Reloaded. That...was fscking AWESOME. The special effects were AMAZING, and there was actually a STORY, and...and just....AAaaaaawww....Beautiful.

But I have stuff to do. Buh-bye.

Okay, made it to Maui in one piece. Yay! Now I’m here for the next two weeks. Thank god we have a laptop and internet access, or I would absolutely DIE of isolation. I passed the 5-hour plan ride by making various lists…mostly, taking every costume I would ever want to make, and breaking it down into all it’s pieces, and then breaking it down FURTHER into what materials I would need for each piece. ::shrugs:: atleats it keeps me occupied. atleats it puts me one step ahead on all my potential Cosplay outfits.

After playing Kingdom Hearts for a number of hours on wednesday, I find myself wishing that I had my PS2 and Memory card. Oh well. I'll get back to it soon enough. Right now, it's all about enjoying the sun.

Everyone in SMI is annoyed with me, because of my recent acquisition of a life, and things that keep coming up right about RP Time. I finally told them to do the Digi-World plot stuff without me, if they needed to. I honestly didn't expect the plot to get delayed this long myself, nor did I expect it to KEEP getting put off. I expected it to be started one week, and then finished in 2 or 3 weeks. ::sigh:: things don't seem to go as planned for me lately. I've apologized out the wazoo, but after a while, I can't jsut keep apologizing, it looses it's meaning. I'm hoping to get started RPing again, because I do miss it. I'm also trying to think of a way to make it up to them. Hibari has already demanded I draw her stuff for our comic-in-the-making. Maybe I can draw something for everyone...

Speaking of SMI, now that I'm at the condo, I've started thinking more about the potential SMI Vacation. I'm gonna take lots of pictures this trip, so I can scan and show them to everyone. Smiko and DL got pretty jazzed up when I showed them some pictures from the internet before. Ya know, I think we can fit the 5 girls and 2 guys in here in a RELATIVELY comfortable setting. There's the king sized bed in the master bedroom, which I could share with someone else. That's 2 people. There's 3 single beds in one of the spare bedrooms, that takes care of 3 more people...probable the remaining 3 girls. Then, there's the second guest room with a queen-sized bed, which can be shared, or someone could take the couch. As far as everyone meeting up, this is probably ya know, atleast a couple years away, but I figured I'd come a day before everyone else, and ya know, unpack, get stuff set, and then the next day, spend it picking everyone up. I mean, considering everyone will be coming from different parts of the country, obviously no one is gonna have the same flight. So, everyone will probably be showing up at varying times throught the same day... So, day one will pretty much be spent at the airport. I'm also thinking I'm either gonna hafta rent an expedition to FIT all 7 people plus luggage into one vehicle, or jsut take the little ford escape my parents have here, and have one of the other people rent a car, and have two vehicles. That might be a better idea anyway, so we can fit everyone comfortably, and have double the psace for everyone's luggage. ^^; God, I can't even beleive I'm thinking this far in advance. And I don't wanna be a nag, but I keep wanting to remind everyone to start setting little bits of money asside NOW, so they won't hafta worry about getting the money together later.

So, Anyway, we got to the condo yesterday, unpacked, went to eat, and then vegged out. I plan to stay on my home time, so that it'll be easier for me to get back into the flow of things when we go home. I got to watch Adult Swim before I went to sleep. ^_^ Mmm...

I left my computer on at home, downloading the first 100 episodes of Inuyasha. I doubt all of them will be finished by the time I get home, but it seems like most of it will be good. ^_^ I can Download the rest later. Eve tells me hat a new episode comes out every week. ^_^ I should be able to catch up on the series rather easily this summer, considering how quickly I found all the episodes on Kazaa. I LOvE Kazaa. When it comes to finding and downloading stuff QUICKLY, it kicks WinMX's ass.

I think today, we're just going to be kicking back. I should probably do my reading assignment for "Art Appreciation" but instead, I think I'm gonna do some drawing, probably do some website planning, and some thumbnails for website layouts. I can't believe May is half over already. By the time I get home, it WILL be over... crazy.

I really, really think I wanna use Kureno for this blog. I don't wanna hafta save the Utena pictures for ONE ARCHIVED PAGE though... and then I'll hafta take it down as soon as we do the CCS marathon, which wouldn't be SO bad if it was pushed to August or September...but if we did it in July...::sigh:: I'll figure it out later, I suppose.

New Cosplay List from the Brain of Sumi-Chan. Yes.

In No Particular Order...

And that's all for now. Legitimate blogging later. I'm also thinking of using the Kureno layout here, instead of the fic blog. Maybe I could use it on BOTH. Or make a chicken layout for the fic blog. ^^; I dunno.

on a completley unrelated note, I'm addicted to "change the world" and Inuyasha. *_*

Happy Mothers Day!

Went Mothers Day shopping last night, as I realized with a start that the day was...less than a day away! Eep! I had to get gas in my car anyway, so I did that first. I figured if I was out running around, I may as well do as much as possible. So, I grabbed Nate's little memory stick thingy, and the Fight Club DVD he let me borrow, and returned those to him on my way to the store. ^_^ He was quite surprised to see me. Understandable, as I didn't call before I dropped by, and he was more than likely expecting one of the boys in his Game-Production group. Stayed only for a few minutes before heading out to do the shopping.

Mom is so easy to shop for. Anything relating to baths or candles that smells nice, she lovs. I bought her little tubes of White Tea scented soap and lotion, and a White Tea Pillow/Room spray. ^ ^ I also got her a Vanilla-Bean Bath fizzie, a Vanilla scented candle, a vial of Chamomile-scented bath salts, Geranium-and-Rosewood massage oil, and finally, a Dove chocolate bar. She was so surprised when I gave it to her this morning. She wasn't expecting anything, I suppose.

Backtracking a bit, I finally went over to Corey and Crystal's with Andrew on friday night. Andrew suggested I bring some DVDs. Well, I got there and..they wanted to do a marathon, and wtach them ALL. XD You have to realize, I brought "Laputa: Castle in the Sky", "Spirited Away", "Adolesence Mokushiroku (The Utena Movie)", Volume one of "His and Her Circumstances", "A Knights Tale" and "Princess Mononoke"! We of course, didn't get around to watching all of these...but I was still there until around 1:00 in the morning. We had some Japanese dish, the name of which escapes me at the moment. It was Rice, Chicken, and Eggs, with something like a chicken broth poured over it. Pretty good. ^ ^ Most of the night was spent with me and Crystal yaking, and the boys listening. When we finally left, Andrew told me he had never seen Crystal talk that much. Very interesting. ^ ^ I'll probably end up spending some more time with them this summer. Mom says I should have them over for a barbeque. Maybe I will. I've been planning on doing a couple of parties anyway.

I did my Kureno layout for the Furuba Marathon in about half an hour today. I took one of the scans Sakura-san gave me, and aletered the contrast levels, then added in a bit of color. I absolutely LOVE IT. However... I now love it SO much, I'm tempted to use it on THIS blog instead of the fic blog, like I'd planned. I also wanna use it as one of my main website layouts. I showed it to Eve, and she thought it was nice, and Kim-chan was sparkling, and Killiko flipped out. XD

I need to get started on my Summer Sketchbook assignment pretty quick-like. I Want those 300 points dangit!

So, I went to Dinner with my Mom, Dad, and Grandparents for Mothers Day. That was nice. Then I came home, and ended up talking to Ginger on IM's for a while. I think I like Ginger... it's too bad we didn't hook up earlier on. We discussed maybe workign together on our grop project next semester. That'd be nice. It's really nice ot have another girl to talk to...I really miss the female companionship.

But, I've run out of things to say. I hafta go work out my school schedule for next semester, and SMI is going, soooo....end post!

My goodness! I've been neglecting the poor blog! ;_; No wonder I'm going bonkers. Well, I Wanted to wait and get up this new layout, but the coding was NOT going well, and so it's up a little bit later than I'd wanted it to be. But I think it turned out okay. It's a nice little filler until the CardCaptor Sakura Blog Marathon, where Meiling takes over. But my goodness, what a BACKLOG of information I'm about to unleash.

Okay, so school got releaed on April 25th. I was so utterly embaressed of my project that I Actually hid under my desk when they showed it. What a nightmare. Then I went out for Teriyaki with Nate. Yummy. Then I took him home, and slept for 5 hours. XD I also disocvered that my favorite Oekaki board, which had gone down, was up and running again! YAY! Which reminds me that after I do this post, I think I'll go do an Oekaki. ^^ I haven't done one in a while.

So, I had decided I was gonna make this music video, okay? I was gonna sue footage from "The Last Unicorn", so I hoped on the internet, and, as absolutely unbeleivable as this sounds, I found a DVD Quality AVI of the movie O.O Widescreen. Absolutley GORGEOUS. I'm in LOVE with this movie. I am SO going to buy the Novel and read it this summer. So pretty... So that was Saturday... Then on Sunday, I left for California.

California was so much fun. ^ ^ Disneyland is always fun, no matter how old you get. And the new Theme Park, California Adventure, was so cool. Well...not the hwole park. But there was this one buliding, and inside, it was nothing but the history of animation *______* I stayed in that building for around 2 hours, I bet. It was so amazing for me. However, that trip really got me started thinking that maybe 3D animation isn't what I want to do... I mean, my real love lies with 2D Art. I mean, I DID get a B+ in Art and an A- in animation150.

Which brings me to something I got today. My Grades!

Projects 150 C- (I'm just glad I PASSED)
Computer Hardware C+ (YAAAAAY!)
Art 150 B+ (OH YES! Thank you ABBOTT!)
Animation 150 A - (Not bad considering I drew the things the night before they were due)
Sound A (Boo Ya!)
Cinematography A (I Loved this class. I REALLY did.)

So those are my grades. YAY! Not only did I pass, this brought my GPA of this semester to a 3.0, and my final GPA for the year to a 2.8. Oh yeah! I feel GREAT! Now I can relax this summer, and not have to worry about it. I guess I'm doing better than I thought. ^_^

Took Andrew to Costco the other day, and at the same time bought the DVD's of Spirited Away and Laputa: Castle in the Sky for about 20 dollars less than I would have paid at any other store. So I also bought Lisa Marie Presley's CD. Not too bad. and I still paid 10 dolalrs less on ALL THREE of those items than I would have paid for jsut the 2 DVD's anywhere else. So as far as I'm concerned, I saved 10 dollars, and the CD was free. ^ ^

Yesterday, my Mom's friend Candace came over, and brought her 4 yearold Daughter Savanna and her new Baby. I would just like to make it very clear, I am NEVER having kids. I really, Really, do not like them. I'm even debating someday having all my "plumbing" ripped out. But anyway... this whole thign was reaffirmed me to. Any doubts I had, vanished. The child was a HORROR. I couldn't keep her still for more than 10 minutes. She'd do something, and then want me to play something else with her. I finally just told her that I don't play. But of course, that only made her restless and pissy. I DID get her to watch Spirited Away in segments though. That was the stillest she sat ALL DAY. And they were here from 11:00 to 8:00 that night! @____@ I wanted to keel over and die. I didn't get to touch my computer until late that evening... so I spent most of the day playing Kingdom Hearts, as a way of being occupied. Watch me not touch the system again for several weeks. ::sighs:: I was so glad to have that crazy chaotic energy removed from the house.

I now want to write a Spirited Away fic. I mean really, really. I'm also, thanks to RAM-CHAN, getting back into Pokemon. Not the series. The series is so long, and repetative... No. Just the movies. The movies...I WUB. I finished watching Movie 4 today. It was starting to jsut look like a glorified episode...untilt he twstat the end, which suddenly explained Professor Okido's (Professor Oak) soft spot for Satoshi. ^ ^ It's been dubbed into english, so if you wanna know, go rent it. It was released in english under the title "Pokemon 4Ever" as lame as that is. Or, you could download it. That's what I did. Ugh. Now I want to take this old Pokemon fic I was writing years ago, and condense it and make a movie-esque fic. UGH, and I still hafta watch Trigun and Cowboy Bebop. However, I don't jsut automatically wanna FIC every series...I haven't wanted to fic Utena...so maybe there's hope that this won't add to the list of ficcing possibilities bubblign in my brain. As if I didn't have enough to worry about already.

Mom put me on Weight Watchers. Well...actually, She decided to go on weight watchers, and suggested I do the same. Simply because in her eyes, I could always stand to loose a few inches. ::shrugs:: and I maybe I could. I dunno. I seem to be loosing inches already. Now, If I just start doing some situps on a regular basis, and walk, and KEEP doing that up through next year, I'll look nice, and trim for my Sailor Star Maker costume. ^ ^ That costume doens't exactly cover up much, ya know?

But all is right in my world, for the moment. I have some free time for the first time in almost a year... and it feels so good. I have so much I want to do, but my brain is still trying to recharge after being so worked these past months.

But now, I think I'm gonna go watch some anime, maybe do some Oekaki, and sleep. Because sleep is good. Tomorrow, I'm going with Andrew to his friend's house for dinner. They've been wanted ot meet me for a while I guess, since Alex and Andrew talk about me. ^ ^ Should be fun.

EDIT, 12:39 AM: I WILL find a way to make this more appealing in 800x600 resolution...just not tonight. I think most of you have atleast 1024x780 anyway, right? Right? If not, your monitors are HORRIBLY outdated, and you should consider investing in a new one.

And I'm thrilled to let you in at 11:53 p.m. --

Krystal, more often refered to as Sumi-chan, is a 17-year-old college student working towards her associates degree in applied arts and 3D animation. Said college apparently owns her soul between the months of September and April. She loves drawing, writing, participating in a 7-year-old chat based RPG known as SMI, and hates kids. She has been described as a combination of the anime-cliche genki-school-girl, and a Hobbit. She is also a music-video and cosplay \/\/h0r3. Ph34r. She can be found on AIM under the SN of Salr Sun or at the e-address krystal at soul-mirror dot net.

version 4.0 of Special K, Designed by Sumi in Photoshop 7.0. This layout features Utena Tenjou, and to a lesser extent, Dios from the anime Shojou Kakumei Utena. It also features lyrics from the song "surrendering" by Alanis Morissette. This little bugger refused to be coded by hand in a way that cooperated with MSIE, and was eventually coded by Kimu-chan in a program whose name exscapes me at the moment.
