of jazz night and space pants

On today’s “Jazz night”, If I were a Singapore Idol judge, these are my comments…

Jay – “Haiyoh, that was a fairly good rendition. You're alright vocally. I just don’t think you have the coolness to deliver it with that jazz punch.” =D *punch air*

Rahimah – “Eh minah, ko nak jadi minah rock ker minah jazz ker minah prom queen ker…mana satu ni?! Pening siol tengok ko nyer pakaian. Tapi vocally kan, I would want to download that performance ah. Steady ah. Bleh tahan ah eh. Araikk” *horn sign*

Joakim – ”Well well well……from the first week I’d have said that you’re a joke. If somebody says that you’re their favourite I’d say, “You’ve gotta be Joakim!!” *laughs at own joke* ahahahahahha…but today….for once I guess you squeezed out a “Hey that was actually not so bad” from me. Wow. Congratulations!

Hady – ”I agree with Dick. You look like you rushed here to deliver this performance after work from SGX or something…but other than that, like Rahimah’s performance, I’d totally download what you just sang man. Ho yeah! Keep up the vocals, just hire a fashion consultant next time ogay?”

Amilee – ”Stick or no stick right….the performance would’ve been the same – very low impact……didn’t really…..get to me la. I dunno what else to say.”

Paul – “I love the jacket man. Very “My Chemical Romance”…but I’m sorry, I can’t help but compare that to Taufik’s rendition during the last Singapore Idol, I agree the performance had a Twohill feel but it wasn’t good enough la brudder….I initially thought you had the vocals but now I’m beginning to think you’re all about the hair……how ah lidat?”

Jonathan – “That is one of my favourite songs, so brownie points for that alone but then it’s quite an overdone song and I don’t think you brought anything new to it. However, I love love love the bass in your voice. Mmm hmmm….so I guess that makes you “so-so” in my books. Work on being “excellent”, I think you can….jia you…bwahaha”

Jasmine – “Jazzmine….I find it a pity that Jazzmine can’t do jazz. However, I thought that was a decent try for someone, I’m guessing, who’s never touched jazz. I don’t know if I should say “try harder” ‘coz I think you tried your best. It’s just sad that your best is not good enough la.” =)

Nurul – “I disagree with the others. I thought that was a cool, comfortable, smooth performance. I disagree about what Dick said about the others trying hard to bring something out tonight. I don’t think you need to show you’re trying very hard when it comes to jazz. You may not have the strongest vocals but you managed to make it look effortless tonight. Your guy would be proud.” *thumbs up*

Mathilda – “Best vocals tonight. By far. I wish we had more contestants in the current competition who could challenge you. ‘Coz Then we’d have a real competition, but unfortunately we don’t coz we’ve been real stupid in choosing the very “you-must-be-joking” top 28 for the audiences to choose from...Real stupid. You’re in a league of your own, I think, but then….that’s just me.”

Yea. I think I should take over Jacintha. Ok la….I may not have her cleavage, but I sure as hell can say better, more coherent comments. Hire me!!!!

Or…or….make her wear an earpiece so she could listen to what I’d have to say (I’ll be watching from somewhere else in the studio)…then all she has to do is just repeat what I said.

Krispy kreme or no krispy kreme, Chris creamed me with a full-body workout yesterday. Haha.

Before the work-out we measured my height, weight, fat, muscle mass and liquid percentage in my body. Apparently I need to put on more weight….but gain weight in terms of muscle mass, (and he did say I could eat more. woooohooooo!!)…I said I wanted to tone my abs and thighs, Chris said “tone” is an overused word, what I wanna do is to “develop” the muscles in my abs and thighs. I said ok but I don’t want Janet Jackson abs and he said ok..as long as I don’t hang myself upside down and do sit-ups and I said yea I can do that…or not do that…Then he made me do weights and sit-ups and lunges and all that shizz and ta-dah!! I am so ache-y right now. But…..no pain no gain right? Right?! Mm hmmm….

Hope I can secure that part-time job when I come back from vacation….Then I’ll look to joining the gym for good.

Ok, time for “Project Runway”….and then I’m gonna watch “Paradise Now” - which I’ve just rented. Yeaaaa…….
