*dances around the room like a fool, singing 'I got Tales of Symphonia~' over and over* .... Boogie time! Bum-bum de bum-dum... Mwahahaha! ^__^ Pardon the off-key singing, but EVERY store here was sold out. And this is a big city with tons of stores. But lucky for me, one store did have a few left, and even more astonishing is that it was just a block over from where we're staying. ^-^;; Maybe I should have checked there first... Ah well. I've read tons of good reviews about this game and I can't wait to get home and play it. This vaca- err, "lunch break", has been nice or whatever, but I miss my cave. And my cat. Besides, I'm missing out on all the rain and floods and new volcanoes. It was on the news!! Amazing stuff is going on, and we miss it. How much does that figure? But whatever, I just hope we're able to go home. Last thing we need is to stay here for another week, with them, and have no access to a Gamecube. We need to go home and play, and y'know, make sure our house didn't float away. ;) Besides, I need to change this layout for wonderful marvelous August, and the html coding is on the other computer.

Aiii, complain complain, where's that damn plane. Nai, just one more day. I can survive without playing my game for one more day. But will I keep rhyming? .... I guess not, I can't think of anymore.

I was wrong. A while back, I complained about how the Spider-Man theme played at the end of the movie credits wasn't included on the movie soundtrack. I said that the remix was by the Distillers, but I was mistaken. The Distillers is a punk rock band, and the theme played during the movie credits is distinctly jazz. After seeing the movie again (and still loving it, well except for that annoying %$#@& brat sitting behind me who kicked my seat the entire time, chewed popcorn next to my ear, and SCREAMED "spidey's alive!" like 5 times during a very touching train scene. Jackass. Parents, if you're going to bring your little 5 year olds to a PG-13 movie, keep them quiet! Gag them or something, I don't care! I swear, I was like this [   ] far away from throttling the little brat)   ...Anyway, I did some research and found out that the sweet, swingin' remix of the Spidey theme was performed by Michael Buble. This makes a lot more sense now, since it would be so out of character for a punk band to do jazz, especially for such a wonderful version of Spidey jazz. Turns out that the Jazz remix of the Spidey Theme, again done by Michael Buble, has it's own little cd single. Which is in stores now. But I still don't understand why it wasn't included on the movie soundtrack. I mean, do the suits think that including a jazz song on a mostly rock album would turn off potential buyers? Please! If anything it would help the sales. That remix is really sweet. Can't say anything about the Distillers' punk remix though - I have a feeling it plays at the end of the game credits and ha ha, I am no where near completion. And with this "lunch break", it'll stay that way for a while.

...went out to "lunch" -- real entries will return in August, along with the purdy layout I made three months ago. Kinda sad though, I only used this one a few times. Oh well, that's how it goes sometimes. Will probably be seeing Spidey 2 again today. But you know what really rocks? When far away at "lunch", I'm still able to see Cartoon Network *and* NHK, the Japanese channel, for free! Mwahahaha... this place kicks. New episode of Inuyasha tonight, and I won't have to wait till August to watch it. ^_^

Happy Independence Day!!

Today my family is just hanging out to celebrate. We're gonna barbeque and watch tonight's fireworks show from upstairs. We bought a whole bunch of fire-hazards too, so that'll be fun to light them off. Last year the neighboor across the street accidentally lit his tree on fire with one of his fireworks. It was hillarious. The tree survived, but still has some scorch marks. That poor tree... Anyway, me mum isn't feeling too swell so no Spidey 2 this weekend. I hope it does incredibly well this weekend though, more box-office records would be wonderful. Because really, what's a better way to celebrate America's freedom than watching a cute guy in tights (that are also USA colors) fight crime and, for that brief moment, enjoy just being a normal person. *sighs* Such a beautiful movie...

Yatta~!! Spider-Man 2 has already broken its first record: on the opening day (yesterday), it grossed .5 million! That's the highest single-day gross in HISTORY, and do you know what record it broke? You guessed it, the first Spider-Man movie, which made 39.5 mil on it's first day. And somewhere in that .5 million is my dollars... I've never been prouder. ^__^ But! The record-breaking-ness isn't over yet, it still has to beat the 4.8 million the first Spidey movie made in its first weekend. I'm not sure if Spidey 2 will have an advantage since it started on Wednesday (where the first movie started on Friday) and get to count the weekend sales too, but either way, go to your theater and see Spidey 2! Again and again! Not only because it is an Awesome movie that totally deserves to be seen multiple times, but because it would be the coolest thing if the Spider-Man sequel broke all the records, not only of its predecessor, but in all history too.

And yes. I will be talking about Spidey 2 a lot this week. What else did you expect from a rabid Spidey fangirl? Well, besides sneaking off to LA to stalk Tobey. I'm rabid, not psychotic. Freaks.

EDIT: I now feel like a model Spidey fangirl. Saw the movie, got the soundtrack, and played the GCN game, all in one day. For all its corporate ickyness, Wal-Mart is still pretty useful. I even got this new layout up, even though it's not as... spectacular as I originally planed. Ah well, it works. And despite the sad reviews I've read for the soundtrack, I absolutely love it. My only setback is that The Distillers' version of the original Spidey theme wasn't included. They play the song at the VERY end of the Spider-Man 2 movie credits, and it was awesome. Although I heard the song is played somewhere in the game, so there's still hope. I'm not very far in the game though... I keep getting lost. Really, really quickly, and then it takes forever for me to get to the right place. Therefore, remind me never to move to New York. Lovely place I'm sure, but if I'm getting lost in a mini NY, God knows I'll never find my way out of the big NY. I guess I am just a small-town kind of girl after all. Ah well, better chance of me getting a seat in the theater without having to wait in line four blocks long.

Holy shit and a side order of chips. Spider-Man 2 is so incredibly amazing, my head is STILL spinning from all that went on. Needless to say, seeing the midnight premiere has made me one very happy fangirl. I'll probably be framing my Spider-Man 2 ticket stub sometime soon.

I won't ruin the movie by giving away spoilers, since for me the movie was already slightly ruined by the commercials. Especially the most recent one -- they should NOT have shown Harry's expression. The commercials went TOO far with that. But don't worry - you'll know what I'm talking about when you see the movie. Because you will see Spider-Man 2, and it will break it's previous box-office record. Because it really is that good. So is the soundtrack. I'm in love with the new songs, but sadly do not own the soundtrack as of yet. Did you know that K-Mart closes at 11pm? I sure as heck didn't know that. Kinda wish I did though, could have left the house sooner and would be listening to Vindication or We Are on repeat right about now. **sighs** Maybe I'll be able to go tomorrow. Not getting the soundtrack was the only disappointment tonight, but seeing Spidey 2 more than made up for it. So much happened, I don't know where to start, even if I was going to talk about it here. All I can truly say about it is that it is Incredible and Beautiful, and that I must see it again. And again, and again, and again...
