New layout in the works. If, that is, I can figure out a way to lay it out. -_=; But in other news, the latest Harry Potter movie is having a midnight premiere tonight. I doubt I'll see it since I haven't seen any of the previous movies, let alone read any of the books **dodges thrown bottles and tomatoes** But I might just see this movie, eventually. It looks rather interesting. Hmm... I wonder if Spider-Man 2 will have a midnight premiere....

Oh yeah, and here's this.

"So what's the cause of death?"
"Um, we're pretty sure it's the knife in his back."
Bwahahahahaa -- * "like, duh!" * -- hahahahaa!! Ahhh, *wipes tear from eye* I love that line. I love it so much, if I made a top 10 list of funniest lines & jokes, it would rank #1, or at the very least #2. Seriously. It's so funny, it ousted my long-running fave, Bug joke. (ie; What did the bug say when you stepped on it? Answer: Nothing. Bugs don't talk). (Yes, I did get that from a popsicle stick a few years ago, and yes, it is sad how easily amused I am).

But anyway, this line is from none other than my new all-time favorite anime, Meitantei Conan/Detective Conan, AKA Case Closed. But I am incredibly sad and incredibly happy about this anime at the same time. I'm happy because I get to see it now that the dub is airing weeknights on Adult Swim, and I love it to bits. (Detective shows rock, especially when they're funny, romantic, intriguing, and well-written, all at once); Yet I'm sad because this amazing anime has 300+ episodes and over 6 movies, and I just discovered it last week. There's so much to catch up on... it feels like getting on a roller-coaster right before it goes on it's last loop-de-loop. Of course, considering the mad popularity of this show, it could go on for several hundred more eps, and definitely a few more movies. Who knows. But I still have way too much to catch up on, which is one more good reason why I should move to Japan. Or maybe one more good reason why I shouldn't move to Japan. If I lived in Japan, I would spend every yen I owned toward anime dvds, manga, and video games, that I'd end up more broke than that creepy guy living under the Motabei bridge. In fact, I'd be so broke I'd probably be living under there with him, asking every other day why he doesn't have a tv and dvd player and yelling at him to stay the hell away from me. In Japanese of course. A couple months, maybe a year or so, and I'd be a pretty fluent gaijin.

Yes. I did have a lot of sugar today. Why?

In other news, something extraordinary happened. Something no one foresaw. And I want to say it, but I'm afraid I'll spoil it. Meh, who cares. I'm too good at spoiling things to stop now. I got my hair cut. And when I say "cut" I don't mean no wimpy trim. My super long and split-ended pride and joy is GONE. Buh-bye. In fact, you probably wouldn't recognize me from behind. Which is good, considering the one-year anniversary since I graduated is in two days and I have nada to show for it. Oh wait, does "growing as a person" or "understanding myself better" count? No? Yeah, I didn't think so.

So anyway, I'm working on a new layout (something more summery and Spidey-y, hopefully), and here is a GREAT link to a Detective Conan fansite. Should give you all the info you need to understand why it kicks so much ass. Of course, watching an episode would do the same, but, reading the info helps too. ^^;

I wrote something here. It was mildly informative and slightly amusing. But there was a malfunction and it got deleted. Like many important things. But my short-term memory is bad, and I don't want to sit here and think about what I wrote so I can type it over again. I will, however, leave this little guy because somehow he fit into what I was writing about. Although I'm not sure why.

There was other stuff too, something about winter, but the joke's lost on me. Oh, and also Jade*Island was updated. That's all though. I think.

*blinks* Talk about a busy month. Around this time last month, a close friend of mine predicted that 'things would be changing very soon' and what do ya know! Looks like she'll be winning the the Psychic of the Year Award again. Although whether that's a good thing or not depends on how you look at it. From most angles though, these 'changes' have been pretty tough, no matter how much warning we had about 'em.  ...  My grandfather passed away on the 26th. I wasn't exactly close with him, being that we lived so far away and I was pretty young for most of our visits with him, but at the funeral it was inspiring to hear how many lives he'd touched. So many people were grateful to have know him and his 'never give up' attitude. Made me proud to have him as my grandpa, even though our relationship never really went farther than "Hi Poppie, how ya doin?". But my grandpa passing on was just the tip of the iceberg, sort of. Everything seems to be unraveling, changing, whether for better or worse, and all at once. And I don't need a psychic to know that this busy month is just the beginning.

But in less family-related news and more no-worry "Yay!" stuff, big shoutouts to Rupert. So glad he won the million, even if he didn't win the game. But was there any doubt that he wouldn't win? Everyone loves huggable pirate guys. ^__^

And also, for whatever reason, if you haven't seen this trailer for the new Legend of Zelda game, you are SERIOUSLY missing out. It's the best damn thing I've seen since the two minute Spider-Man 2 trailer that played during The Apprentice -- and that was pretty damn sweet. Link looks incredible... and he's wearing chainmail. Kinda odd, but it makes historical sense and he pulls it off well. I suggest clicking on the larger size trailer as it is bigger and looks 1000x better than the smaller size. However it does take forever to load, but trust me, it is well worth the wait. So if you'll excuse me, it's been a long month and I need to continue catching up on my superficial, materialistic fluff. If I focus on serious things for too long, my brain goes ka-boom. That's probably why they invented television.

...I wonder how many times I've avoided writing here because I knew people would read it. Ha ha, but that's sort of the point of having an online blog, right? To have people read it? *sigh* Sometimes having this is so annoying. And then I get all guilty when I don't write here, which makes is even more annoying...

Anyway, nothing interesting is happening, to me anyway. Family-wise on the other hand is another issue all together, but I won't get into that. 'Cause, y'know, you're not family. Unless you are, but then why would you want to hear it from me? o_O This whole week has been a strange one, so excuse my shortness. But on a lighter note, there is mondo goodness this weekend, including new Inuyasha and the return of my tiny slice of heaven, Trigun. ^_^

Oh, and yeah, that Spider-Man 2 trailer rocked out loud. Most definitely. And Yay for Bill! But I wonder if Troy will come back. He was cool. But other than that, nothing new except my never-ending debate of whether or not I should keep or abandon this blog. Which really is the least of my troubles, but is always nice to worry about. Much better than the big scary stuff I have no control over.

April 7, 2004   @   12:15 a.m.

Tomorrow/today during The Apprentice, NBC will be showing a preview/world premiere/something super cool about the Spider-Man 2 trailer. Eeheehee. I thought it was great seeing it on my computer screen the size of a credit card, but tomorrow I'll see it on the big tv screen. And then, starting April 9th, I (and everyone else) can see it on the big movie screen. ^__^

....Yes, I have nothing important to say. Although, today was rather progressive. See, I have this terrible problem. There are geckos that secretly live in my house, and they love nothing more than pooping on my pillow. Really, in my entire room they only poop on two things: my pillow and my stereo. I've tried smashing them with a flyswatter, glaring at the ceiling, and threatning terrible things if I ever saw them, but nothing really worked. Then a stroke of genius hit me when I woke up this morning. Y'know how some beds have canopies? Well, if I could somehow hook up a sheet to my ceiling that hung over my pillow/bed, those damn geckos couldn't disrespect it! Sure, they could try, but the sheet would intercept and my beloved pillow would remain safe.

And for the most part, it seems to be working. Using scotch tape, fishing wire, staples, and an unused window curtain, I have created a semi-good pillow covering canopy. It actually looks kinda cool. However, the problem with using scotch tape is that it won't stick to the walls for very long. So I guess I'll have to reapply new tape every few days or so until I can find a better solution to keeping the fishing wire attached to the wall (which is holding the canopy up).

Other than that, nothing else is really new. I might be taking my driver's licence again this month, so I'm pumping myself up for that. I'm gonna do better this time, I know it. This time, I'll pass. I'll follow directions, not run red lights, not go over the speed limit, not make jerky stops, or wait to long at 4-way intersections. This time, I'm gonna prove I'm a good driver. Because I am! And I'll get that licence, too. 'Cause then I can drive myself to the Spider-Man 2 midnight premiere, scream like the fangirl I know I am, and not have to ask for a ride home at 3 am. Yes, getting a licence will rock.

It's been quite a while since my last post, and there was a lot of stuff I wanted to rant and rave about, but then I caught wind of a new Spider-man 2 trailer.... and then I saw the mini-version of it here at the official site. And all I can say now is..

Someone catch me, I think I'm going to faint...

"Why does everything I think I need
always come with batteries?
What do you think it means?"

Those are the last few (and in my opinion, the best) lyrics of the song 'Something's Missing' on John Mayer's new cd. Which I now proudly own. ^__^ But anyway, I find it odd that those lyrics, which are on the edge of a revelation, are omitted from the little book of lyrics included with the cd. Isn't that kind of strange? It's not like there wasn't enough room to fit those three lines on the bottom of the page, and they are in the song, so why not write it in? Are they trying not to "offend" materialistic people? Some of the online lyric sites also have it omitted; actually the last block of lyrics is sort of "re-organized" as well.... bunch of weirdos.

Well, whatever. My trip to Borders yesterday also included the two LOTR books, Two Towers and Return of the King. And a new bookmark, since all of mine are vanishing. So when I eventually continue reading the latter half of Fellowship, I'm all ready to continue on. Problem is, however, that because the books I got are "after the movie" I'm slightly worried that it's going to be the movie in written form and not include that which didn't appear in the movie. Like in the Fellowship where the movie didn't mention Tom Bombadil and Goldberry; (my Fellowship book was printed before the movie came out). Hmm. Now that I think about it, it'd be kinda silly to chop up the books just so they match up to the movie. Although I wonder if what's-her-face still says "I am no man!" when she slays that black witch guy. Guess I'll find out when I read it, unless Melly-chan would like to fill me in... =) And if not that's okay too, 'cause Orlando and Viggo are on the covers and that is fine with me. ^_^'

Ugh... I think I'm getting sick. Blech. But, the only thing worse than being sick is knowing that monkeys are running my local post office. Really! I saw them. Monkeys. Hairy ones, too. But I guess it does make sense, considering how much mail is sent to the WRONG address. I mean really, why on earth would they hire people who can hardly read? It's ridiculous! Important documents and birthday cards are sent through the mail! They can't just have anyone deliver the mail, especially stupid people who can't read! That's why having monkeys work there is much more understandable. Unless the US Postal Service is trying to increase identity-theft. Really, it's scary how many bank statements and credit-card bills I get that aren't even MINE. Good thing I'm a nice person, otherwise I'd be rolling in other people's dough. But you see, not everyone is nice and returns mail that was delivered to the wrong address.

And THAT is why the US Post Office all around the country should stop hiring monkeys and hire people who can ACTUALLY READ. Because I am sick of receiving other people's mail. I want MY MAIL, damn it! And maybe a belated birthday card.

New layout. It's rather simple, but I like it. Although I did like the last one much better. But ah well, this'll work fine too. Well, hopefully it'll work. My website's server is switching... something... which may or may not affect my site's availability, which includes pictures hosted there. Like the ones in this layout. Oh well, it'll be all settled by Saturday so if anything wierd happens, pay no mind. Not like I have many "fans" or "constant visiters" but just in case... now you know.

I've had the strangest desire these past few days to become a teacher. Yes, a teacher. Probably for high school, and maybe teach English or Art. I'm not sure why, but having a career in teaching has always been in the back of mind, just sitting there, waving its arms now and then. But teaching, while rewarding in its own ways, is absolutely terrible finacially. Not to mention all the years and thousands of dollers I'd spend in college, just to be payed jack to kids who don't give a damn. Hahaha. But I think I'd be a cool teacher. I mean, I'm nice and easygoing, can relate to most people, easy to talk to, and can explain things with a passion. Yup, a career in teaching could fit me quite well. But if only they got payed better... *sighs*
