Bwa... Bwahaha... Mwahahahahaha~!!
With these tickets, I (and my friends) will be among the first group to see SPIDER-MAN 2 in my town! YE-AH! This may be no Hollywood Premiere, but damn! It can't get better than this! ^___^ *continues to laugh insanely*

One week until the midnight premiere. I should have the new layout ready before then though. Not like I don't have anything better to do. -_-; My laziness really irks me sometimes...

.....Do you know that feeling, when you feel really strongly about something only to find out that everyone else feels the exact opposite way about it, and then you're left questioning yourself? Because I mean really, how could you get such a different result from so many other people? The odds of it are daunting! *sighs* It leaves me feeling terribly hollow.
And unfortunately, such feelings are brought about by something so silly. That's how it usually is with me, though. Big things are no sweat, but the little things? Whoops! There I go crashing to the floor again. Anyway, while preparing for next month's layout, I decided to take a good look at my current layout and see what I needed to improve on. And with my ADD-like attitude, before I knew it I was surfing the web for info on the movie, its actors, and so on. And that is where I fell into the septic tank. I had come across the Rotten Tomatoes review website. And boy, were the reviews for The Day After Tomorrow rotten. I personally thought that the movie was really good. A few cheesy lines, sure, but no movie's perfect. But over all I really liked it. That's why I based this layout on the movie, when I easily could have used my Detective Conan layout. But after reading those reviews..... ugh. It makes me feel like I'm just a stupid little girl who wouldn't know the answer to 2+2 if someone whispered it in my ear. Is this how the fans of that Hulk movie felt a few years back?
Well, that's my problem of the day. A real stress maker, ne? Yeah, right. I know that everyone has their own perspective and that we all acknowledge things differently, but to be so off base about something like this? I almost feel embarrassed for having this layout up. And, y'know, saying that the movie was awesome. Over and over. -_-' Yet one more reason why June 30th can't come soon enough, and why I should never be in a career where self-confidence is a requirement. Gotta love the movies.

Thank you, Oprah, for making every rabid Spider-Man fan insanely jealous. If anyone was to see Spider-Man 2 early, even before the actors themselves got to see it, it figures that it would be you. *sigh* Only 22 more days until the Midnight Premiere. Although technically the premiere is on the 29th but because it starts at 12:01 am, it really is on the 30th. If I lived in Cali, you could bet your bottom dollar I'd sneak into the real Spider-Man 2 premiere. I wonder if Tobey would be there... But alas, I don't, so I can't. Oh well. One day, one day.

Woo! New layout! ^__^ I rather like it, too. Very.... un-summery. I love things that aren't summery. It's been so hot lately, even though it's been raining. It's so muggy right now it's crazy. But at least my layout and this here fan will help keep me cool. Unfortunately, I made some poor amateur mistakes with this layout, since I've never attempted this style before, but uh... hopefully it's not too noticeable.
So anyway, this layout was inspired by the Awesome (yes, with a capital A) movie, The Day After Tomorrow. I love that movie. It totally kicked ass. I want to see it at least two more times while it's still in theaters. I always see great movies three times on the big screen. Always. It's like a habit of mine. And is it just me or does Jake Gyllenhaal look like a beautiful cross between Tobey Maguire and John Mayer? Kinda odd, but cool nonetheless. Speakin' of Tobey, he comes back to the big screen in 26 days. Jeez, feels like counting down to Christmas. Maybe we should buy a tree?
In other news, I finished the Fellowship book and started on Two Towers. Fellowship was pretty good, and there were tons of great scenes, but I feel bad saying my favorite part out of the entire book (other than the Aragorn rhyme - that was pretty cool) was in the halls of Moria and... well,
"'Ai, ai!' wailed Legolas 'A balrog! A balrog is come!'"
I hate to find amusement in this elf's terror, but it's just so cute! ^_^;; I mean, here we have this Elf that is basically perfect in every possible way -- he's tall, he's fast, he's wise, he's got a heck of an arm, he's one with nature, he's confident, and God knows what else -- and yet one glance at this shadowy balrog and he's stumbling over his words. There's just something... comforting about that, I guess. Then again, perfect people tend to get on my nerves. A lot. But the way he wails 'Ai, ai!' is just so adorable, how can ya stay mad? I don't remember much from the first movie, but I'm dying to see it again to see if Bloom says that line. I hope he does. ^-^;
Anyway, I've also been translating my Kaze Hikaru manga again. It's going rather smoothly, and when I get a hiccup I check out AltaVista's Babel Fish. Although it's more of a joke than a help, it occasionally makes sense. Sorta. But I realized what my problem with the Japanese language is: vocabulary. My vocabulary is far too low. I watched Spirited Away with the Japanese track, and I only understood about five sentences. Everything else was a complete blur. T_T But I heard that translating helps learn and remember more words, so I'm doing that as much as I can. Good thing I live in a tourist trap; Japanese newspapers are in no short supply. And this is quite a long entry, so I'll stop here. Jaa!

This is my blog
I don't write often.
To be honest,
I'm a little lazy
But I'm trying.

I know it's not very summery, but hopefully the cool shades will keep the heat down. I never liked summer anyway, always too hot. Winter is better. Long live the cold! ^_^
