Arrrrrrrgh, I need to make a new layout. Which I really don't want to do right now. But this one has been up since January, is totally full to the brim, and is getting kinda old. *sigh* I'll make something later. Anyway, Happy Girls Day! *throws confetti and flower petals* As usual, I've been cruisin' and enjoying the simplier things in life; like drinking Vannila Coke. Nothing says 'happy girls day' like waking up late and drinking sweet sweet cola. Although I suppose that's what I do everyday... except for the cola-drinking part. But that's what makes today different! ^-^; Also, I was wrong in my last post -- there actually WAS a tornado that hit in last weekend's crazy-ass storm. Around 12:35am Saturday up on the eastern side of me home island. It tore off the roofs of two homes and trashed a bunch of trees. The lady who lived in one of the homes hit said that even though it was super dark, there was tons of lightning so she could see the curling winds/edges of the tornado. I so wish we lived up there!! ^_^;; Seriously, seeing/surviving a tornado would totally make my decade. Maybe I should become a storm-chaser like in the movie Twister. =D

Ah, the mysterious Leap Day! The perfect day to end a pretty cool weekend. Especially with the crazy-ass strom that hit the islands. It was soooo cool. In fact, that storm was so amazing, we almost got a tornado. Sure, it was up on the eastern side and it dissapated before it got close to shore, but still. The thought of a tornado visiting us is still pretty damn cool. Plus there were power outages, water system failures, roads closed, and other problems that happen with big storms. ....Sorry, I'm a Severe Weather Fanatic. ^_^; Although my home-island usually doesn't get severe weather, so that probably just adds to my fasination with it. Ah well. So anyway, since this is the famed Leap Day and all, I'm gonna celebrate here with a few quiz results. Y'know, since I usually don't do that. Oh yeah and before I forget; Musogato.com has a lovely new layout and Guardian, my fan-shrine to Navi & the other fairies of the Legend of Zelda series, has "officially" opened. Wow, long sentence. Anyway, on with the tests!

Squeee~! Got Oracle of Ages today and it's so cute... The Maku Tree gets a crush on Link! *laughs* Out of all the Legend of Zelda games and all the characters who swooned over the green-capped hero, I can totally see him marrying a tree. I mean, if that girl in India can marry a dog, why not a tree? ^__^ But seriously, Ages does seem to be a lot more fun than Seasons, although it's strange that in both games (that take place in different lands) the main town has a giant tree guardian named Maku. Although obviously, one is male and the other is female. I personally like Ages' Maku Tree better, she has more facial expressions than Seasons'. I mean, all he did was snore and mumble vague directions. Boring! Besides, Ages' Maku Tree wants to be Link's bride. Mwahahahaha. Can't blame her for trying though. XD

.....I'm suppose to be writing in here, aren't I. Talking about my day and ranting out about what ever is bothering me, aren't I. Well, I apologize for being negligent and boring. Not really, but at least I spelled it correctly. Yay! Anyway, not much is new. I've been driving more lately, so that's nice. I'm a pretty damn good driver if I do say so myself, although I'm sure everyone else would disagree. =P I've also been annoying my neighbors by playing Switchfoot over and over all day long for the past few weeks. Mwahaha. What can I say? It's a good cd. ...And now that I've written that, I start playing a different cd since I'm suddenly tired of hearing Switchfoot. Figures. I think my blog is some sort of dream-killer, like Mr. Pryce on Joan of Arcadia. When ever I write something that I've been doing or plan on doing, I end up ditching it immediately. Like last month when I wrote I was reading Fellowship of the Rings and had reached the mid-point? I haven't touched that book let alone continue reading it since I wrote that. I think it's true. I think my blog is a dream-motivation-killer. Perhaps I should stop writing here.
Hahahahaha. Isn't that the perfect excuse? ^__^ Of course I won't abandon my stupid blog, even if my entries aren't as amusing as my older ones. Dude, it's free publicity for my websites. And everyone likes free publicity.

Hmm. Since it's February and all, I should probably make a new layout. For here, there, and everywhere. But I'm over making layouts. Besides, I like my current layouts. So no new eyecandy this month. Although I have updated content for Musogato and Jade*Island, so I'm sorta somewhat proud about that. Although any points I gained from that were instantly lost due to a certain teddy bear hoax email that I freaked out about. Yeah, go ahead and laugh at me. But you're not perfect either so shut up. There's a big cherry blossom festival thing tomorrow and it turns out we'll actually be able to go to this year. Hurray. Except... I only have for shopping, since I spent the rest of my holiday cash on my cds. Which I could have gotten for free if I used my Borders cards. (-_-*) Oh well. Last month would have been miserable without Switchfoot, Steve Burns, and Linkin Park blasting through my speakers. Er, speaker. The left one is on the fritz again. It really is pretty freaky; every set of headphones I have ever owned have always gone out on the left side. Always. Perhaps there's some secret meaning behind that fact, but I don't really care enough to find out. Ah, that should have been my new year's resolution; to be more motivated. Nah. I'd break that one sooner than my "no swearing" one. I lasted... 2 days I think. A new record! :P

...Oh my God! I can't believe this has happened! A couple months ago I had entered this contest and, and I WON! A free trip to Japan! I'll be seeing Tokyo, Hiroshima, Sapporo, Okinawa, and a bunch of other cities as well. Food, transportation, hotel arrangements, everything's taken care of. Eee! I'm so happy! Especially since I have all that money in the bank, I can finally spend it on something I want! A shopping spree in Japan... **smiles gleefully** And the good news continues! Last week I got a call from one of my friends in my graduating class, and she's got an apartment all set up for us in Oahu. And its just a few blocks away from town and this really cool Japanese bookstore that she's told me about. So I guess I can't spend all my money in Japan. :P Although with my experience I'll probably be able to land some good jobs since knowing the Japanese language is key over there. The trip takes place in late Febuary - early March, so I think I'll settle in Oahu first and then figure out my spending budget for the Big Trip. Ha ha, this is too cool. ^__^ ... And people wonder why I lie so much. I stepped on a thorny stick and made my foot bleed. That's about the most exciting thing that's happened this past week, or month, take your pick. But hey, did anyone actually believe what I said earlier? Anyone? No? Aww, you readers are no fun. Oh well. Perhaps one day my life will be as exciting as my lies. But till then, don't believe everything ya hear. I should go find a band-aid now, if we have any left. oOo, the drama, the suspense! -_-;

o_O ...Who here knew that there was a Rurouni Kenshin / Samurai X movie? I sure didn't, but then again I didn't know Blockbuster had an anime section either. Hmm. But either way, when I saw it I had to rent it (being a Kenshin fan and all)(well, obviously I'm not a good fan if I didn't know about the movie...) but to be honest I was a bit disappointed. The plot was okay the animation was good, and the theology behind it was moving, but the voices... oh God, the voices were terrible. I never saw the Japanese version of the tv series, so I was looking forward to hearing it. Talk about a shock. When I first heard Kenshin my first thought was "Holy crap, he sounds like a girl". Well, an American girl. I'm still not sure why, but it seems that a lot of Japanese girls speak in a really high voice. The other voices weren't much better, but at least they kinda sounded like they matched their character. Except for Yahiko, his voice seemed much deeper than a 10-year-old boy should be. Or at least, I think. I haven't heard any kids in a while, let alone a Japanese-speaking one. So after my shock, I thought I better check out the English dub, where I was greeted to a much bigger shock. Not only were none of the voices were the same as the tv series, but they were really bad. I thought Yahiko's Japanese voice was off? This was plain scary. It brought back memories of that ThunderCats show where the little kids sounded older than their parents. And that, my friend, is just creepy. Although I think Kaoru (the lady) sounded the same as the beloved tv series, but I'm not sure. I suppose I should do more research into the voice cast. But still, if they were going to go to the trouble of making a movie, especially one of a rather good manga and anime, the voices are essential. I'm no anime otaku, but I thought that the English dub for the Kenshin tv series was good and matched the individual characters well. Sure, it may have taken more effort, time, and money to get the same people to do the voices for this movie, but the end result would have been much better. I can't speak for the Japanese version though since I've never seen/heard the tv series in the original language, but... I really doubt they used the same voice actors. Kenshin... just does not sound right. Even as the Battousai near the end, it just... well actually, he sounded okay as the Battousai. Although he didn't talk much as the Battousai, so that might have something to do with it. ^^; End result: Movie good, voices bad. Although I have to say that the Japanese w/ English subtitles was better than the English dub, mainly because the English dub was such a disappointment. ::sighs:: Ah well. Next week, a different anime movie! Hopefully.

Happy happy joy joy. There's this enormous thunderstorm passing over us, and last night it was crazy. Giant flashes of lightning that lit up the whole sky for several seconds and bolts that forked through the clouds and thunder that rumbled by so loud, the house shook. For several hours. It was freakin' awesome. ^___^ I stayed up so late to watch it, I'm surprised I haven't fallen over dead asleep yet. But Monk hasn't come on yet, so stay awake I must. Then there's been flash flood warnings all day 'cause of the constant rainfall, and then there were the black outs... and then the remarkably beautiful sunset tonight with the clouds painted scarlet with gold glitter... how could this possibly get any better? Well, maybe getting the Switchfoot: the beautiful letdown and Steve Burns: Songs for Dustmites cds. Oh, wait, I did get those today! Dude! Today totally ROCKED! :D Whahahaha! And the cds are really good too. I'm very glad I got them, although I just realized I spent my cash to buy them instead of waiting to use the Borders cards. Oops. Too bad Borders doesn't sell video games. But at least I can definitely afford to buy the other two Lord of the Rings books now. Ah well.

...y'know, I really need to stop making promises that I don't intend to keep. Especially when those promises include deadlines. Promises like updating my website "by next week". Although since Thursday is technically the middle day of the week according to my cute mini calendar from Japan (...not that I got it from there, though), my promise technically won't be up until Sunday. Not like that's much better though. And yet again I've wasted a large part of my entry on trivial stuff that no one cares about. Because really, I'm not doing anything better. Trivial stuff seems to be my forte this month, and no, I don't care if that's the correct word or not. But in less angry news, I started reading The Fellowship of the Rings last week. It is, obviously, incredibly good, especially since I don't remember much from the movie. Although it did come out a few years ago, and my long-term memory is rather crappy. But then again so is my short-term. Ha ha, man do I suck. But anyway, I reached the middle this morning, which is right after the crossing of the Ford of Rivendel, where the river goes crazy on those Black Riders. Which is also the cover art on the, well, cover. Hmm. But anyway, I'm really enjoying this book and since I have almost 0 in Borders gift cards, hopefully I'll be enjoying the other two books soon too. As well as listening to that new Switchfoot cd. Or maybe the Steve Burns one... Hmm. Maybe I'll get both. =D

Crap. I saw Final Destination earlier today/yesterday and... well... I'm still kinda freaked. Even though I saw that movie how many years ago? But still. It's damn creepy, especially since there's some truth to it. Which isn't helping me sleep at all. But that's okay, I've been needing to work on stuff for my website anyway. And hey, I have been! I've got lots of stuff lined up for both Musogato and Jade*Island, and even a new character shrine which I started last summer. Although I haven't actually worked on it since that summer, but I've been putting lots of effort into this project. Which is really saying something, considering I almost never dedicate myself to anything. Except for making excuses to why I don't. But anyway, lots of well-needed updates coming soon. And if I keep up my "hard work" (oh yes, sitting and typing is quite the chore... I could break a nail! Or make my eye turn blood-shot. Or get that wrist cancer thingy) ..... I could possibly launch my new mini-site later next week! Wow! That would be cool. Sorta. Except for the fact that the character(s) this shrine is for, most people hate. Very strongly. *sighs* People have no tolerance for the slightly annoying, I swear. But who is the character? Not saying until the site is launched, which may very well be the only one in existence. Now that's scary.

It's funny; there are so many people out there who're craving attention, but once they realize how much they really are getting, all they want is to be left alone. Saw Enemy of the State today so needless to say... I ain't saying anything else. Well, except for that I also saw Paycheck, which was surprisingly good. The cheezy level was much lower than I expected. And that's always a good thing. But something that is cheezy and not welcome... politics! Maybe it's just me, but it feels like the only people running for the Big Job are Democrates. Surely there are other people running too, right? I heard about that Ralph-a-nator dude, but I can't find anything on him in the paper. And my computer time is so limited, I don't have time to research it online. Well... that and I usually forget. Which I will promptly do after I post this. Simply because its boring, that and scary after EotS. *shivers*

Ah, happy new year. Despite being 7 days into it, it still feels like December. Perhaps somewhere, out there, there is a limbo week between one year and the next. If so, that is where I'm at right now. Although it could just be my lack of writing "04" on anything. Hmm. Anyway, because of my lack of blogging, I have the guilty feeling that I should talk about my nice birthday and all the cool stuff I got, and probably the new year, that embarrassing moment at Bubba Gumps, and so on. But it's two in the morning so I think I'll pass. =P I really just wanted to make a new layout and post it, which I have. I like it a lot - it sort of reflects the kind of person I want to become. Y'know, since I'm eighteen and all. Being seventeen was more hype than not, so hopefully this year will be a better one. Well, here's hoping.
