| 06:37 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2001 would an error message kill you? working on testing our browser product last week. ick. i had done a local install with the Xalan parser, which was all good. then i switched over to the network install using the IE parser. and things shit the bed. took several hours to guess what the issue was. shouldn't be such a soft science to run diagnostics. bleargh.
6:30 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2001 moi, en francais how cool... slogging thru referrer logs, i found that someone had Googled me from France, and translated the page. *giggle* oh, and here is the original.
1:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2001 whee HA! my neighbors rock so freakin' much... they just got home, and were willing to play musical cars so i could get my car parked out back. mind you, this entailed them driving my car, which *i can't freakin' drive*. they rock, nine ways of Sunday. :) did i mention i have very cool neighbors?
11:13 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2001 dorkus malarkus this is how boat obsessed i am these days: stopped in JT's Chandlery the other day, while waiting for the bus, and bought a new thing for my keychain: a brass wheel. i like it. and i'm okay with having more stuff on my keychain. :)
10:52 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2001 hey, battah, battah, battah... so now i know why people bring transistors to the park. watching the game last Sunday in the park, i failed to understand so many of the calls... would have helped so much to be able to hear the commentary. how is it that the commentators know more than we do? doesn't matter. would have loved to have understood what was going on with the calls turned over two or three times.
2:36 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2001 'do you want your frooooot?' this is what we heard the guy behind us at the game saying. apparently, they brought a large bag of produce for snacks (heathens - what's wrong with a ballpark frank?). a little while later, i looked down and saw a renegade pear under my seat. maybe you had to be there, but it was funny.
1:52 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2001 oo baby, oo waaa... how true. in the Globe today: After exhaustive research, Go! has devised a theory that determines if a boy band will be torturously bad, or just moderately annoying, before hearing a single note. Our boy band hypothesis dictates that the homelier the boy band, the better its music will sound. Conversely, the better looking the band, the more painful the musical output.
11:53 a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2001 buy me some peanuts and Crackerjack ah, the love of the game is becoming all encompassing. i watched any old game the other night just to hear the commentators and the satisfying *thwack* of bat on ball. i love the game itself, and the Sox the best.
11:10 a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2001 the danger of notepad i am so sorry that i lost the attribution for this bit... saw it in someone's journal, and loved the phrasing. if you find this, and it's yours? please let me know so i can give you a link back. so i lost you. i lost you to myself. you were my lifetime dream vacation. but you were only a lifetime. only a second in life's intertwining explosion. you knew i was there. just beyond what you believed, just past true faith. i'll wait just past the tangible, and just above the sky.
1:52 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2001 Delia's gone... *humming to self* oh, thankyouveryfuckingmuch for getting that song stuck in my head, you. now i have two lines of The Man in Black rattling 'round in my brain, and no amount of flamenco seems to be fixing it. *grr* fine. i'll just buy the damn album. maybe repeated airings will purge it. at the very least, i'll know more than two lines.
12:39 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2001 oh, more phooeyness. bother. i can't actually change the layout of the archive page. so not only is it soul-ful when it should be soul-less, but i won't be able to change the layout when i change the journal layout. color me obsessed that way - i like all the bits and parts to match up nicely. phooey.
12:36 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2001 much wonkiness. urgh. for whatever reason, the site is being wonky today. makes me a tad nervous. trying to change templates, archive things, generally neaten things up... and i keep getting errors. :(
12:34 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2001 no Soul. *sniff* i just checked the 'Soul' button that used to live on the right side of the page. doesn't work. hasn't worked for a while, apparently. the home site has gone AWOL. no soul on the 'net, no more.
