beady eyed

so i have a new hobby - beadwork. it's a lot of fun; i've made a few really nice pieces, and have a bunch more planned. it's always more fun to make things that people will wear, so if you're interested in a custom piece (cost of materials and postage only), drop me a line.

welcome to the 21st century

well, i finally did it.

i broke down and got a cell phone. the company was offering a deal thru my company, and i took it (after making the sales rep twist my arm, which he had the good humor to do).

i've resisted getting this particular toy for a long time, because i don't really see the need for it. or - didn't. but now i have a car. and i usually drive alone. it just makes sense to have a cell phone with me on the longer trips to be on the safe side.

of course, the sales wonk wanted to know if i wanted a pink face plate so it would match my girl friends' phones. *sticks out tongue* eew. not in a million years. now, leopard print, on the other hand... ;)

hot foot

it's bothered me for some time that the camel on the Camel cigarette is head towards the filter. that means you burn his little feet first. *pout* not nice. and yes, i do spend time pondering things like that.

heard a few funny quotes lately... such as 'having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section in a pool.' and (imagine this in a very calm voice) 'it seemed like a good idea at the time. and then it slowly got out of control.'

itchy feet

you can tell the seasons are changing... i'm itching to put up a new layout, here and in the journal. haven't quite figured out what, and it's not as if i don't like these colors... but i need a change.
