An Interview from Emdot... Answered...

I love visiting emdot!! She had an Interview given to her which she offered to pass along to anyone else who wanted to participate... and so I say "ooh, me, I will do that!" I received my email today and here are my Interview Questions and my answers:

Questions for MsCaprikell:

1.) The ubiquitous superhero question. You are a superhero. What are your three powers? What is your costume? What is your theme song?

MCK says:: how fun! Okay, my three powers would be: 1) Healing Touch - the ability to repair, restore, or bring to a whole, natural, healthy, positive state of being. 2) Empathic Intuition - the ability to not only know what other sentient beings are thinking/feeling... but to empathically relate to that on a "at one" level. 3) Shapeshifting - the ability to change into any item I touch or see... especially animals; this covers flying, swimming, running, and all those magnificent abilities that nature has!

Costume: something very flowy... almost elfin or faery looking... iridescently color changing, sheer, wind-whisping, magical fabric.

And then the theme song... well, that is a tough one... thinking (looking at iPod) - probably "Angel" - the Quake Remix (on Euphoria collection) ::

2.) This was asked of me in my interview questions and I thought it was a good one, so I pass it on to you. Name five things you cannot love without. (That's right -- love, not live.)

MCK says:: There is nothing I cannot love without. I am love; therefore,, I do not require any outside "thing" to just BE that which I already am... I do not need "someone" to love.... I do not need a "reason" to love... So, I guess I cannot love without just "being me" and maybe something/someone to receive that energy. ::

3.) Who was your first crush?

MCK says:: Hmmm... gotta really think on this one. To me a "crush" is someone who doesn't know they have every bit of your heart at their beckoning. So, I'd have to say, the first time I felt that was Tony Johnson from third grade when I lived in Colchester, IL... waaaaaay back! He was the first guy who tickled my heart without knowing or trying. ::

4.) What is your favorite childhood memory?

MCK says:: Recess... I loved, looooved, LUV'D recess in school... it was that much needed break that we've taken away from ourselves as adults. ::

5.) What is your plan for the summer, or what three things do you plan to do?

MCK says:: 1) well... work, hafta keep doing that through the summer... 2) Finish my goals related to my spiritual ordination - look more into organizing gatherings and speaking to (with) groups of people... 3) Meditate more frequently and start weight training again - physical and spiritual "body building" :) ::

Any one else wanna play along too? Here's how:
. . . . . . . . . . .
For anyone who wants to play, here are the Official Interview Game Rules:

1. If you want to participate, post a comment to this post saying "interview me" - remember to leave your email address so I can send you your Interview Questions. Offer closes at 11:59 PM, Tuesday, June 14th, Pacific Time.

2. I will respond by asking you five questions. Each person's questions will be different.

3. Update your journal/blog with the answers to the questions.

4. Include this explanation and an offer to interview others in the same post.

5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, ask them five questions.

Weirdness...

Okay, as I was approaching my exit from Hwy101, I get a phone call from my roommate, "Hey, Where ever you are... you might just wanna stay there... a transformer blew a block over from us and we are in pitch black here." To which I responded, "Yeah, I can see that." since I was right at the stop sign after the exit. VERY bizarre seeing my normally dimly lit neighborhood ALL DARK. I continued home and sparked a few candles...

Which then gave me MANY ideas for photos... I went crazy for a while... then after uploading my photos, I was editing them a bit and my computer started acting odd... making a weird noise... got scared, figured running it on a battery and having weird noises... not good... let it rest. PRAY! So off to sleep I go. Dark, except for a couple of safely-left-lt candles.

It was easier to fall asleep than I thought... slept well until about 5:36am when I promptly awoke to ...darkness still. My waking mind, of course asking, "When is the power going to come back on?"... I kid you not, five seconds later the house buzzed with a reconnection of electricity! Intuitive? Maybe? Weird!

Then, after having fallen back asleep I "re-awake" at 6:30am (15 minutes before my alarm tells me to WAKE UP!)... I sit there thinking... "something doesn't feel right..." to which I get a return message of a small jolt, rumble, rumble... rumble. Intuitive? Maybe? Weird!

So I ask one of my roommates, "Hey did you feel that little earthquake?" ... response: "No, that was the big PG&E truck taking off." My mind was a bit perplexed... I consider myself to be pretty well connected with nature/earth/movements... I do admit I feel things that I can't explain... so I was CERTAIN it was a small shaker. I also start thinking, "well.... maybe, they were just turning on the power at 5:30-ish... maybe it was a big truck..." I get the urge to look it up on the USGS site... sure enough... 6:33am a 3.5 magnitude located 5 miles west of Templeton (35.550N 120.799W) ... 3.1 miles deep. I was not crazy - I did, in fact, feel an earthquake.

Feeling better now....

Equally - Yoked ... Judge What?

A statment that spawned an internal discourse in me; "Shouldn't a couple be 'equally yoked' so that they are headed towards the same goal? You know, back when they used oxen to plow a field?"

Okay... *breaking out a rather large, hardwood soapbox* ... here goes.

Do the two oxen look exactly the same? Do they Moo the same way? Is it not the STRENGTH of the animals that needs to be equally yoked? In other words, the "passion" of the drive should be equal. I am highly against prejudice in any form... especially religious prejudice... it's almost an oxymoron - and yet it exists.

If two people are attracted to each other and find many common qualities that are complimentary to each other and create a positive environment to each other... why then should the label of religion be the reason why or why not they should be together? My thought is that the "zeal" or "passion" for spiritual growth is quite similar to the concept of "plowing the field"... you are making the ground OPEN to the new seed to cause something to grow. I think the only thing that need be "equally yoked" is the LOVE energy - the driving force. People can be who they are and do what they need to do; but once you restrict someone with a limitation of what label they must wear... you are taking away an aspect of universal, unconditional love. Are you saying then, "I can not love you completely until you become what I need you to be in order for a socially created organization to acknowledge our right to be together as a couple."...???

How does one justify this prejudice? I can get the whole "I am not attracted to you." or "I just don't feel we connect." or similar statments... that's how you sift through and connect with "the one" or "ones" that has an equal passion with you. But the minute you try to require a specific label of it...the minute you say this is "what I want / what I require"... then you are taking away the Divine's potential of making a connection that is based completely and significantly in unconditional love. Love wears no label.

If one requires a safety net like wearing similar labels, then, I guess it is what is right for that person... but one must also know that if they judge others on any particular trait... then they too will be walking in constant judgment. The more we try to "marry like kind" the more we are creating the very separtism that we should be moving away from. If we look at people as mirrors to our souls... this analogy becomes much more powerful... because then, to state, "I can not be with you because of your religious difference." then you have created a rift of separation with someone who could potentially love you like you've never known possible and mirroredly speaking you can not love your own self unconditionally. The universe (divine, source, god, allah, whatever you call it) will keep sending you various opportunities ... can you tell that source of Love, "No, you don't have it right."? When we are closed to what is given to us... when we focus on only one specific thing... we are limiting the very power of the Divine. As mere humans, how can we KNOW what is best? Does the Divine not as us to "Love thy neighbor as thyself."??? Think about it.

I know this is not very well organized... but this is far better than what has been swirling in my head. Sometimes I feel it is better to get these thoughts out so that others can see them as well... within the words there is Light. And that light will shine and resonate with those who are open to understanding it.

May my babble get through to someone. ... *stepping down from vibrating soapbox* .... looks for a cave in a mountain to go meditate in.

Poetry of Thoughts Begin Again...

Beyond
this or that
I AM
one with
that which
I AM

***********

Poetry is starting to flow again... I have another poem that I will post later that was in my head this morning.... wrote it out at lunch and just looked at the words. I am coming into new energies... or remembering some very ancient ones. To say that my life is changing is a silly statment... for that is the one truth that holds most value... "The only constant thing in life is change."

Awareness is Like:

Being in the dark, one is highly likely to stumble around dinging their shins, stubbing their toes... hurting themselves unintentionally... making honest mistakes.

Once Light (aka Awareness) is introduced... you have time to SEE things... time to heal those wounds incurred during the darkness... what good does it do to keep punishing yourself for having made those wounds? Why not use the light for it's purpose of Love & Healing? We need to stop beating the wounds to remind us of the past; but rather heal the wounds and live in present moment awareness.

The Light is not attached to a switch... it is just there. One does not carry the Light with them - it is not meant to be a burden... it is just there. It IS. It exists unconditionally, whether we want it, need it, despise it... it is not affected by our human existence. We can not project anything onto the Light... so we can not make it into anything ... it is what it is.

The Light holds no judgement of the bruises, scrapes, cuts that one has acquired... it merely makes it easier to see them more clearly AND to see what truly caused them (unlike the imagination of what caused them while in darkness). The Light holds no judgement of the causes either... It is just there to reveal.

The Light can not be touched; yet it touches all. It's source can not be seen; yet we know it is there. Fear is the only cloud that would block the Light from us... fear, being a man-made "thing"... Light can expose the cloud for what it is... the Light is the "silver lining" behind those clouds as well. There is nowhere that the Light does not exist... and it is when we are Aware that the Light does it's most powerful work. When we are Aware... we become Light... there is no separation.

OH HAPPY DAY!!!

Okay, you'll never guess who called me this morning....

Go ahead, try to guess....

...

My older sister, full blood sister... the one I haven't talked to in 3 years, haven't physically seen in 12 years..... I was bouncing off the walls.... figuratively speaking, of course... but OH! I am happy happy happy!!!

It's like I am grounded again... I've missed her terribly and it was sad that we haven't been a part of each other's lives for so long... but, things are going well for her and I am happy to hear that. There's been bumps in the road for her as well as the ones I've encountered... but she has been strong through it and made it out the other side of the struggles. My sissy is strong!!

I got the updates on my two neices and two nephews... one of which graduates from High School next year!!! (catch me, I am about to faint!)

Anywho... more news on this wonderful reunion later!

The Moth...

Another View of Mr.Moth... Late Night with ...

Late Night Visitor... moth...

***********

Moths live in all but polar regions. The wings, bodies, and legs of the moth are covered with numerous touch hairs that come off if it is handled. Because of this the moth is highly sensitive to touch. They can feel, smell, taste and determine temperatures with their feathery antennae. The tiny pegs upon them serve as receptors. This gives the moth the ability to perceive everything with clarity. Those with this totem usually have strong psychic and healing abilities. They must be careful not to pick up other peoples problems and carry them around in their own energy field. If this happens confusion and irritability can set in.

The process of metamorphosis is part of the magic the moth holds. The egg stage symbolizes the birth of an idea. The larvae stage indicates the laying of a foundation. The chrysalis stage represents the process of creating, and the winged stage allows it to take flight and explore new territory.

One of the most interesting characteristics of the moth is how it wraps its wings around itself. When resting, they either fold their wings, wrap them around their body, or hold them extended by their sides. This suggests a basic nurturing quality and those with this medicine often find themselves in some sort of care giving role.

The hearing ability of the moth is acute. They are capable of detecting ultra sound because their hearing organs are found on their legs. These enable them to sense vibrations emitted around them. Paying attention to what is being said and what isn't being said is part of the teachings the moth holds. Observing the body language of others is helpful.

When the moth appears in our life it is asking us to pay attention to issues of sensitivity. Are you overly sensitive or insensitive to those around you? Are you involved in a situation that needs to be reevaluated? Are you honoring the integrity of all concerned?

The transformative qualities of the moth are numerous. It shows us how to develop and refine our psychic gifts. The moth is an optimist and an opportunist. It can teach us how to release unwanted influences and fly into the discovery of our personal joy.

***********

When I see repetition of "critters" in my life path, I take time to research the "why" or "what are you telling me?" aspects... the message above is from a site that deals with totem animals and what they mean. This message kinda hits home right now with "picking up" things from other people... it has been extremely challenging not to do this; and yes, confusion does usually follow. I've been working on grounding myself and standing firm in my inner wisdom. I know what my intent is... I know who I am... I will not let others tell me what they think I am... they can not convince me that I am someone through their perspective... I am not their projection. But again, it is challenging because I can see through their eyes so to speak... or I've lived life experiences similar and they see my stoic view as cold and uncaring... so they project that I must be "cold and uncaring".... those who truly know me know that is simply not so. We live in a world of objective projection... what we SEE in others are aspects of our self that we may not be able to deal with.... so it is easier to see and point out or blame others of certain traits or personality flaws that are really just projections that we need to work on our own self. Now that I have learned this life lesson... I have also learned that it is impossible to tell other people this view... the instant reaction for them (in my experience) is to turn the tables around and keep rotating the view back off of themselves... so ... it becomes futile. I've learned to keep it as an observation... stay true to my points of view, my life path, or my personal outlook on life. I know that I view things differently than others... and being around me sometimes takes a certain understanding and acceptance of JUST BEING.

The sensitivity of a moth.... I am feeling it these days!
