aniwae, MTE (Milk The Elephant) is gonna perform next at De-Thrash 2003 held on e 21st dec 03. our slot is probly from 1630 hrs to 1700 hrs (that's 4.30 to 5 pm for u kids out there). it is gonna be a 10 day festival (12 to 21 dec) held at faber house park (opp Heeren). sumthin like a street arts festival aimed at
promoting all forms of art to Singaporean youth.
watever it is, juz come down and support us ya! =)

Hehe... we have taken a short haitus from gigging every month since we started in may... for stuff like work and exams... but well, our "comeback" gig (haha)... ok our next gig will be on 21st Dec from 1630 to 1700 hours. (that's if there are no changes) This is a 10-day music fest called De-trash 2003 and it's happening at Faber House Park (the big field opposite Heeren). Do come down and watch us... we will be playing a few new songs and might even have some other surprises in store.... I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
Claire's Flower Shop, Eugene's Moment of Truth, International Slumber Party, Last Transmission will be playing on the same day as well. So do come down ya?

MTE (Mini Toga Escapades) will be performing in Street Supernovas this 31st August. Location: Ayer Rajah CC Theres a pretty formidable line-up so you gotta attend this one. I heard its only 5 bucks
We're also putting back on track our plans for the EP. It'll most probably be an acoustic EP. A chill-out, put-you-in-the-mood kinda thing.

Revamped the site.. with a few china propoganda poster graphics. and no.. we're not communists. some bugs still around but overall.. the site's working quite well.
the band's been having pretty busy schedules.. so we're kinda hard-pressed to slot in three new songs that we've been working on ad hoc the day we realized that covers wont be allowed in Baybeats. but we're positive everything will work out. we're most probably the youngest and least experienced band at baybeats this year.. but we know we'll give some of the other bands a run for their money.

Sorry for the late entry. The Orchard Library Gig was a good one. A little low-key but our music's getting better. We especially would like to thank the library lady (we forgot her name), the soundman and his crew, and everyone that came down to support and cheer us. :)
Next up is Baybeats 2003. We'll be playing at the acoustic stage in the evening of 18 July, Friday. Please be there. It's a spectacular annual event of international and local bands so its not to be missed.

We're just done with our second Singapore Street Festival gig and it was GREAT! A little problem with the vocal volume but its okay. We'd like to thank the people behind the SSF for giving us that chance to play in the heart of Orchard Road, one of our dreams as a band. Thanks to everyone who came down to support us and to enjoy the music. :) We're only getting better.

The gig went great! It was a beautiful set-up and atmosphere at the Library@Esplanade. It was a rush to see even grey-haired men rocking out to our acoustic set. :) Thanks to Mr Hazriq from Library@Esplanade for giving us the opportunity to make noise in the library, Khai and the force vomit guys for lending us their cool, scaled-down drumset, and everyone else for coming down and showing their support.
Seriously though, if you thought that acoustic session was great, wait till you see us really rock out. We'll be playing an electric set at the Library@Orchard 26th June 7pm to 8pm. Mark that date down in your calender cuz you guys still havent seen the energy thats MTE!

We havent been posting anything up for a long while so i thought of posting something up just to remind you guys we're not dead.
The band's been rehearsing for our acoustic session at the esplanade library. We'll be performing 3 originals and 2 covers. Wont mention the playlist here.. come down and find out :) Remember its at 4PM May 17 Esplanade Library Entrance area.
We've also been working out some new songs and new renditions of present originals. Our demo cd of two of our studio-recorded tracks is in its final stages. If all goes well, we'll have a couple of copies to give away at the Esplanade Library Gig.
We've got another gig coming up in June and are in the works of getting a slot at the upcoming SG Street Festival. We were also recently featured in a Ngee Ann Poly magazine. We are so grateful to everyone that has helped us so far. Thank you guys. We're working hard to prove our worth.
