I also joined linksluts and Pitas webrings. I guess I am a linkslut, huh?

Webloggers
Wednesday, May 3, 2000
Yes, I caved in and joined webloggers webring. I just couldn't help myself. There is something about webrings that I love. Could it be they bring more traffic to my site? Hmmm, could be.

Journal updates
Tuesday, May 2, 2000
I finally got around to updating my journal. I actually wrote an entry last night but it was late and I didn't upload it. So I sat down and wrote another one tonight and uploaded both at the same time.

Sometimes I wonder if I know what I'm doing raising a child, much less two of them. The more days that pass the less confident I am that I am doing all the right things and not the wrong ones. I remember hearing people on several occasions make the statement "My kids and I grew up together" and never understood it - until now. Parenting is a learning experience, just like everything else in life. It's a trial and error type thing, as much as I hate to admit it. I do know that I have learned so much from my first one and am trying my best not to make the same mistakes with the second one. Only time will tell, I suppose.

Well, this was an entry instead of a short update. It's time for bed.

Epinionated Burb
Tuesday, May 2, 2000
Speaking of being epinionated, I joined a new journal 'burb the other day. Luckily, this fellow journaller found out that I am also a member of epinions and asked me to join. She is looking for other journal writers who are members of epinions to join. So if you are one of those people, click that link above and go join.

Epinionated once again
Tuesday, May 2, 2000
Today I wrote three new epinions. One is for the Crazy Daisy- you know that flower looking sprinkler for kids. Hey, it's a lifesaver on a hot summer day when I want to get the kids out from underneath my feet. The other one is for Paint Shop Pro, which I absolutely love and am addicted to. And the last one is for an inflatable swimming pool that I didn't seem to have much luck with. Go check them out if you like and rate them for me. I'd really appreciate it.

Too busy for a regular update
Monday, May 1, 2000
As much as I hate to admit it, I haven't been able to do a regular entry lately. This weekend was wonderful- spent outside in the yard working, with my great husband. I was so glad to be able to finally get some much needed gardening done, plus I got to do it with Jim. I'm really very lucky to have a husband who shares my passion for gardening. We actually have the best time digging in the dirt, pulling weeds, getting dirty and sweaty from head to toe. Aren't you envious? :)

Anyway, I hope to update both my journals in the next day or so. I'll have Jackson, my nephew, tomorrow- so hopefully the boys will play nicely for a while and allow me some time for the computer. If not, I guess it will have to wait another couple of days.

Until then....

One of the greats still going strong
Wednesday, April 26, 2000
I don't think I've ever mentioned before that I am a HUGE fan of Northern Exposure. I love A&E for airing reruns of this show, one of the greats of television history. I love going to this site and looking at all the screenshots, taking the NX Quiz, reading what the actors are up to lately, and lots more. They even have message boards where all NX fans get together and talk. This site is a must for all Northern Exposure fans everywhere.

when will the madness end?
Wednesday, April 26, 2000
I will be the first to admit that I am an obsessive person when it comes to some things. My journal website is one of those things. I have , ONCE AGAIN, redesigned the whole freaking thing. I just couldn't help myself. Someone on the JohnDoe mailing list mentioned something about redesigning for spring, and that was all it took. I opened up Paint Shop Pro and the rest is history, so to speak. This is only about the twentieth time I've redesigned this year. It's madness I tell you- pure madness.

Maybe there IS life out there
Tuesday, April 25, 2000
Jim added the SETI screensaver to our computer a while back. I never really have been one to believe in aliens or anything like that - although Fox Mulder sure has come close to convincing me. But I still found the whole idea behind it kind of neat. Now it seems that maybe there IS life out there somewhere. And it also seems they don't like us spying on them and are trying to stop it. Or was it just a freak of nature and they are just blowing it all out of proportion? You be the judge.

Turn it off?
Tuesday, April 25, 2000
Now I'm all for more reading and less tv. But this is pushing it a bit far for me. I can't be expected to turn off my tv for a week - much less the week when they are FINALLY starting to air new episodes of Buffy and Angel. I think it's all a conspiracy.

Trip travel log
Tuesday, April 25, 2000
I added this new entry today. It's just a travel log from our trip. I took along a pen and paper to jot down how the road trip was going and did a quick recap of things happening while we were there.

I also added a Part Two entry which highlights the trip in a little more detail. It just has some of my favorite moments that I want to be able to look back on and read someday.

I really do have the best in-laws in the world.

I'm back, in case you didn't notice
Monday, April 24, 2000
Yes, as you can tell I'm back from my little vacation.

We had a great time. I just wish we could have stayed longer. The kids had a wonderful time playing, taking walks in the woods, fishing, hunting easter eggs, and playing board games with Grandma.

A new journal entry is in the making. I'm not sure when it will be posted, but hopefully later on today.

It's good to be home. I missed my bed.

I'd hate to have his job
Monday, April 24, 2000
With ranking position there comes lots of responsibility. But I think this is pushing it a bit far. All I can say is better him than me. I don't think I could stomach this nasty little job.

a standing ovation?
Monday, April 24, 2000
At first glance it may look a bit "strange" and "funny". But read the caption underneath to learn the "real" story. It's still quite interesting and I did find myself laughing. I guess I'm a pervert afterall.

Smoking IS dangerous
Monday, April 24, 2000
More Evidence that Cigarettes Are Bad for You: In Cleveland, Charlene Smiley, 44, was charged in February with fatally stabbing a 40-year-old woman in a dispute over smoking in Smiley's boyfriend's house. And Michael Raines, 20, was charged with fatally shooting a 41-year-old man in Benton, Tenn., in October because the man would not return the cigarette lighter Raines had loaned him.

Leaving for a while [substitute journal entry]
Thursday, April 20, 2000
Hi there everyone. I basically decided to put a quick entry up here in case some of you aren't on my notify list. By the way, why aren't you on the list? You really should be, you know.

Anyway, I am preparing for our trip as I type this. I wanted to stop for a moment and say goodbye before we head out on the road. We will be on our way to Illinois fairly soon, I think. I still haven't gotten everything done, so I can't stay long. I was just too lazy to mess with htmling an entry. Please forgive me?

We should be back Sunday night sometime. But I wouldn't count on an entry until Monday, if I were you. I'm sure I'll be exhausted and ready to crash into my own bed as soon as we get back.

Everyone take care, and I'll catch up with you on Monday.

Hugs!

Lee Ann

Games Parents Play
Thursday, April 20, 2000
This is a very cute article about the games parents play BC and AC [that is- Before Children and After Children]. I believe any parent can easily relate and enjoy this.

Woman gives birth to huge baby
Thursday, April 20, 2000
And I thought my kids were good sized babies. This one came out "twice" the size of mine. Go check this out. It's amazing, considering this little miracle was two weeks premature. Wow!

Interview with a search engine
Thursday, April 20, 2000
I had to post this link that I found at Slumberland. I laughed so hard that I had tears streaming out of my eyes.

The Looking Glass
Wednesday, April 19, 2000
iVillage offers this online "beauty personality" test. I couldn't help but take it just out of curiosity to see how close it would come to my "true" beauty personality. I have to say...it hit the nail right on the head.
