Happy 10th Anniversary to V6!!
OMEDETOU GOZAIMASU!!!!
V6 is celebrating their 10th anniversary since debuting on November 1, 1995. I'm very proud of them since they can manage their solidity in friendship and in performing. They are always getting better time by time as they are also matured. They are not the 'cool' boyband again, but they are now professional entertainers. They are not youngster anymore but they are charming men. Sometimes people who were introduced to them compare them to boybands who are still young and has a very 'handsome' appearances.
V6 may not that 'handsome' but as you get to know them, rather than ordinary 'handsome', they are charming with their own characters.
Sakamoto-kun is now 34 years old but he has the charm and charisma as a leader, also not to mention his powerful voice.
Nagano-kun is the balancer of the group, not only because he is so gentle, but his voice, although some said not too good, plays an important role in balancing the power of Tonisen as the older half of V6, or V6 as the whole group.
Inocchi is the mood maker of the group and the also one of the power in V6's voices. Although he often plays pranks, he is a smart and hard-willing person who follows his heart no matter what other said.
Go and Ken are both the dynamic duo of the group. They are one example of a very good friend. Although Go initially acted like the bad ass of the group, but he is the gentlest among the six. He also has a very good acting skill and a good rapper. At first his solo part was quite shaky but it's getting better. He has a very soothing voice in singing ballad, and his duet with Inocchi is my favorite since Go's gentle voice can mixed well with Inocchi's powerful voice. Ken is the cutest among the group and although his voice when singing is.. well, "teribble", but his and Go's playing the most important part in V6's whole harmony. V6 cannot sound this beautiful if there were no Go and Ken.
Okada is the hottest and the multi-talented youngest member of the group. He has every talent of an idol: good voice, perfect looks, good dancing, dilligency, hard-will, good at playing various instruments, smart, etc.
I'm praying V6 will always last like this so we can celebrate their 20th anniversary.. :) BANZAI, V6!!!

Glay x Exile - Scream
I've heard about this collaboration some times ago, but never put interest in searching for it, because personally I'm not into Exile since it is a hip-hop vocal unit, and although I like Glay but I'm not a big fan of them.
This morning I got an active download link of Glay x Exile live. I downloaded it and.. OMG OMG OMG!!! It's a really good collaboration!!!!!!! I love the chorus very much!!! The harmony between Shun and Atsushi from Exile and Teru from Glay is VERY BEAUTIFUL!!! Simply beautiful, no need to play it several times to get this song stuck in your head all day long. This is my song of the day!!
Toki wo koete hito wa arasoi wo kurikaesu
Tsunaida ito mo sugu ni kireteshimau
Yodonda sekai kurushimi wo tayasanai you ni
Toki dake ga sugiru..

New translation: V6 - Orange (lyric)
It's so hard to search for Orange's Japanese lyric (in kanji) because I don't have the single and I cannot guessing the words by the pronounciation only. I have difficulties in reading some words since those are simply make no sense.. or I believe it was due to my limited understanding Japanese.. :) Orange is basically a short song with poetic lyrics that is hard to be interpreted. The song itself is beautiful, as I described on my lasta entry.
Aside from that, I welcome any corrections since I'm also in process of learning. Hmm.. next time, I want to translate UTAO-UTAO.. :)

V6's Orange and UVERworld
Opss.. I didn't have any idea that switching the current entries may result in blank display in my blog. I was once archived my current entries and there were still displayed until I posted a new entry.
V6 has released a very good single,
Orange, as the OST for their newest upcoming movie,
Hold Up Down. I love
the cinematography dan coreography of the PV, as well as the song. The song begins
in low range of tones and rises when reaching the refrain. V6 has incredible low
voices, and if I'm not mistaken, Orange is the first V6 song that sung in low
range. As for the PV.. OMG, IT'S SO GOOD!!!!!! My objection is only on Go's hair,
too bad in this 10th anniversary he has his hair short. I like Go better in medium-long
hair. The PV has some scenes from Hold Up Down. I put more expectation in this
movie rather than Hard Luck Heroes.
In my perception, HUP has the following story:
Inocchi and Ken are bank robbers in Santa Claus costumes. Well, the santa beard
made them looked weird but they put it off when saving the money in lockers. I
love when they were smiling while tossing after the robbery. Ken was very cute
here and Inocchi's hair was perfect.. :D Don't know what happened before or after,
but there is a scene when they pointed the gun on Okada, a street singer/beggar/homeless.
Later they were running (don't know who was chasing who) but involved Okada, Inocchi,
and Ken. It looks like Okada got the locker key which the money is put. Later,
Okada is running crazily and got bumped by Nagano and Sakamoto's car, then the
key flows up and falls right into Okada's throat. Nagano and Sakamoto is a pair
of police (and yes, Nagano is still the one who drives -crazily-, while Sakamoto
is the one next to his seat screaming on Nagano's driving). They probably thought
that Okada has died due to the accident so they picked and put him at the back
seat, but later Okada wakes up and emerges his head between the front seats and the two are screaming, thinking that the dead
Okada is revived. Then Nagano hit the brake and Okada is thrown through the front window. I don't know whether he really died on this accident, because
later we see Go found Okada's neglected dead body. Okada's eyes are opened, but seems to be covered with trash and later get frozen by snow. Inocchi and Ken are shown
to get arrested at the police station, and I don't have any idea on what happened next.
In short, Okada fans, get ready to be cringed on Okada's appearance and role in HUD. Despite on those beards, long hair, and poor clothings,
his role's story is really really awful. Okada's role should play an important point here since he's the one who got the locker key, but
he's dead and it might cringed you to see his abandoned dead body. Go is the one I can't figure out what his role is. From the HUD news I heard
that he's a truck driver, but his wearing a big cross necklace, like those the priests wear. There is also a scene when he's running out a burning/
exploded church. Is Go's role a priest? I'll be laughing hard if he is, because Go in HUD still has his long black hair and has thin shadows of beard.
Inocchi and Ken's roles are the ones who created the whole story since the story involved their robbery. They makes a good couple, like brothers.
Nagano and Sakamoto is also a great couple as always and I just love a scene where Sakamoto throws his pistol (maybe). IMO, HUD has some funnies
opening scene until Okada's death, and then the angst started to increase. Orange has a perfect tone to emphasize this 'angsty' feeling.
In short, HUD seems to be more expectable than Hard Luck Heroes. The idea of Hard Luck Heroes is good but it has almost no plot. In HUD, we
even know Tonisen's actings are getting better these days and Kamisen, who are already well-known with their acting, get more portion rather
than just screaming (and Ken even only got 1 sentence in HLH before he was finally got shot). Still there are some chasing scene similar to HLH.
Okada and Inocchi-Ken's chasing scene similar to Okada-Inocchi-Yakuza chasing scene on HLH. Nagano's expression in driving and Sakamoto's fearful face
are also similar to scenes in HLH. HUD even also has car chasing scenes. I'm sure it was involving Nagano-Sakamoto's and Inocchi-Ken's car. Nagano and
Inocchi are also those who drive.
Now it's my dillema, whether to buy the Making of HUD DVD or waiting for the whole movie.. I wanted to see the making, but it's quite expensive
and it may be released bundled with HUD movie. I've spent much money this month, buying the METEOR unit model kit from Gundam Seed. Ah, I love this series.
I'm just beginning to watch it (of course borrowing my friends' VCDs) and it's really good, and definitely not suitable for kids.. :D
Introducing: UVERworld
I'm currently ADDICTED to a new J-Band,
UVERworld!
They are a new group initially formed in 2003 but making their first major debut
with single
D-tecnolife which was used as the second opening
of a very popular anime series these days,
Bleach. I also knew
UVERworld from Bleach and the song attracted me at the very first time I heard
it on Bleach's episode 23, replacing
Orange Range's
Asterisk.
Takuya, the vocalist, has a soft echo in his voice which touches the 'soft' part
of the song gently but hit the 'hard' part strongly. For a new band, UVERworld
is very talented and presenting a new color of music. Their music vary between
rock to hip hop and rap. At their first release, they can get through the top
10 of Oricon Chart! Oh, and did I mention that Takuya is also rapped? Yes, he
is also a very good rapper!!! I thought V6's Morita Go is probably the only J-Rapper
I could really love. Arashi's Sakurai Sho was once on my favorite rapper, but
after listening to Takuya's rapping, I'm really sorry Sho, I have to have you
out of my list. Takuya is not only a good rapper, but also a very good singer!
The song
AI TA Kokoro is also another good sample of Takuya's
skill in controlling his voice and style. The song opened in a very mellow melody
combined with medium-hard rap. He's rapping and singing until reaching the refrain,
when suddenly the melody rises up and he still managed to control his voice very
well. This is the second time I'm amazed to such a vocalist after
Janne
da Arc's
Yasu. At first, honestly, I'm not too interested
in their songs other than D-tecnolife, but after hearing their second single,
CHANCE!, which is used as the theme of Bleach PSP, my perception
changed 180 degree. I'm addicted to Chance right now. I really love Takuya's style
of rapping and singing there! If D-tecnolife has a rockish impression at the very
first place, Chance has the hip-hop pop impression.Takuya's voice never get me
bored. Oh, and have I mentioned that Takuya is also very cute and good looking??
He has the same charming outer appearance like a J-idol, but his music and style
is definitely different. (IJ girls, if you're reading this and wondering what
the heck Takuya looks like, well, he's the one I told you similar to Sho). D-tecnolife
PV was disappointed me at first because it seems like a low-budget PV, but CHANCE!
PV is definitely not a low budget one. I'll definitely buy their album!
The similar debut success can be seen from
High and Mighty Color.
Ever since their first single is used for
Gundam Seed Destiny's
opening, their popularity has increased. I also like HaMC, but the rapper is just
annoyed me when he started to scream. Having Bleach's 3rd opening sung by HaMC,
I was very happy but sad at the sama time because D-tecnolife has been replaced.
Ichirin no Hana is also a good song to replace D-tecnolife, but well, I hate the
screaming near the end of the song. Bleach's 5th ending is also very good, LIFE
by YUI. Bleach songs never disappointed
me. Bleach has introduce me to many talented singers: Orange Range, Home Made
Kazoku, Younha (Yunna), UVERworld, and YUI. Opps.. and Bleach itself also never
disappointed me. I'm addicted to this series right not.. It's VERY good.
