All this time and I finally understand why my mother used to get so irritated when I wound the vacuum cord neatly around the two plastic holders on the vacuum. I used to think she was being sloppy, I mean hey, here's these two handy plastic things, you wind the cord around like so, and then the plug clips right on to the cord! Isn't that neat? Why are you just flopping the cord all on the top holder? That's messy!
Now, when Stew uses the vacuum, and then wraps the cord neatly, I understand how much of a pain it is to unwrap the neatly bound cord.
This was an extremely pointless entry. :-) Sunday, February 3, 2002

All right, slight change to the link structure. I (still) adore Sam, so he's back up, just in a slightly different spot. :-)

Life as it should be
I'm sitting here updating my blog, whilst my boy is on his hands and knees, cleaning the dirty shower. :-)
I am officially published. Loosely speaking. Okay, very loosely. Go here: www.sanguineproductions.com/point_of_purchase/index.html. That's the order page for Sanguine Productions, Stew's gaming company. Now, scroll down to Scars. Scars is Sanguine's first fiction release. No, I didn't write it. But my name is in the credits twice, once as a proofreader and once as the author of the back cover text. No, it's not much, but it's really fucking cool! :-) I also have a chance to be a model (again, loosely speaking) for an upcoming project. More details as they're made available.
Also, Sammy, I'm taking you off my links section for now. When you update more than once every four months, let me know. :-) In his place I'm adding Miss Shauny, winner of the "best-kept-secret weblog" Weblog Award. Her weblog is cool. I'm a sucker for anyone with excellent writing skills and a good sense of humour.

Hee.
I am an Asteroid.
I am a drifter. I go where life leads, which makes me usually a very calm and content sort of person. That or thoroughly apathetic. Usually I keep on doing whatever I'm doing, and it takes something special to make me change my mind. What Pre-1985 Video Game Character Are You?

And if I wasn't an Asteriod, I would be a Pacman Ghost. Whee!Saturday, January 26, 2002

Went to see Blues for an Alabama Sky at Playhouse in the Park last night, with my best friend's boyfriend. It was fun... I love going to plays and other cultural-type events. :-) A shame that it was Friday evening though, I'm usually pretty wiped out by then.
Stew is still in San Fran, and sometime yesterday noticed that his driver's license, hotel room key, and credit card were missing. No clue yet if they're simply misplaced or if they were stolen. In any case, the credit card's been canceled, but without a photo ID, getting on the plane to come home could be a little tricky. *sigh* I love my boy, but damn he gives me ulcers.
I wanted to drive this weekend. I wanted to get out of here and just go. What's funny is that I haven't ventured outside today for longer than what it takes to grab the mail. All the people that I could've visited a year ago have moved, or dropped out of contact ~ Travis is in VA, Aaron is in MI, Sam and I haven't communicated in many months, etc. I guess I could've popped in on Mr Reardon, but considering the two of us haven't spoken in the flesh for at least a year and a half, that could've been a little awkward. :-)
Well. Off to have dinner and perhaps play some more crack.

I fixed it! My page comes up in Netscape now! Not the way I want it to, but it does come up now! Here's the trick, kiddies: always use a </p> tag.Wednesday, January 23, 2002

Okay, either my timing is good and right now the server is not having load problems, or pitas really did fix everything up. Anyway. We'll give this another go.
Here is the link I had posted earlier.
I have discovered that one of my crushes is no longer that, but is really more like the annoying sibling I never had. Which is most likely a good thing. :-)
I had to get up extremely early today to take stew to the airport... He will be attending Further Confusion in San Fran. It's sad to say, but I probably won't start missing him until tomorrow... we had a massive, stupid, pointless fight last night that resulted in the breaking of one of my new CD's. Not by me, I may add. I'm sure once I get over still being pissed off this morning, I'll be okay, and I'll miss him madly. *sigh*
I need a vacation.Thursday, January 10, 2002

It's a question of lust
It's a question of trust
It's question of not letting
What we've built up
Crumble to dust
It is all of these things and more
That keep us together

Yummy... I caught another plague. *sigh*
Today was an "old friends" day. I met up with Marc for lunch (he's in Wisconsin... I've known him since I started college, so for about 5 years) and John & Mindy stopped by!!! It was so wonderful to see them. I've know them since middle school, and I haven't seen them in about a year, give or take. They're in St. Louis, so I don't see 'em much at all. They only had a few moments, long enough to say "hello" and get a quick tour of the house, but it was very nice to see them at all. And very odd to see John lookin' all mainstream-short hair-that's Dr. Allen to you-. :-)Wednesday, December 26, 2001

Hehehe... I am slowly spreading Poe through my network of friends and family. I bought it for my mother, I recommended it to my mother to buy for my aunt, and thanks to the plug on my site a month or so ago, Mr Reardon bought it as well. <EG>Monday, December 24, 2001

Whee, I'm selling out! I joined a blogging webring! (see right, below)
Watched Memento last night. Very odd movie. I very much enjoyed the filming style, and the plot was fantastic, and the acting and characters were great. My only problem with the movie is the fact that by the end/beginning, so many questions were raised that were not answered. I mean, "Lady and the Tiger" endings are one thing, but this was the whole friggin' movie. *sigh* Of course, we also watched John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars... boy, there was a supreme waste of time. That movie was awful. Come to think of it, that one didn't really have an ending to speak of either. Argh!
Well, it's xmas eve (day) and stuff. Not sure yet what I'll be doing, maybe going to an Orphan's Party with my mom. Stew is doing a family thing, and I don't think I can handle that much of his family, nope. I like everybody, but too much of "other people's family" puts me on edge. Hell, too much of my family puts me on edge. :-) Friday, December 21, 2001

Mmmmmmm........ naps. Naps are cool.
Went to Cody's last night, to watch Greg again. I very much wanted to get out of the house. I'm hitting another low point (surprise, I know) and didn't want to spend the evening brooding. I had a good time, and the boys were really "on" last night, but I probably shouldn't have gone... or maybe I probably shouldn't have had that last beer. :-) I was pretty wiped this morning, but luckily, work is extremely slow right now, and we're all doing holiday celebratin' anyway.
Some pleasant things happened today:
I got a very nice email from Greg
A co-worker bought me and the other two members of our "subgroup" gifts (I got two very pretty bookmarks and mosquito netting... for the footballs... don't ask. :-) )
Another co-worker gave me a BASES mug (big, purply-blue coffee mug that everyone has except me)
Another co-worker wished me a Happy Solstice. I was very touched by that.
I have presents under the tree now
I have one day of vacation left to kill before the end of the year. I'm going to come in to work two hours late each day next week. Pfah, I deserve that anyway what with the absolute shit I'm going to have to put up with. I'm one of the few people in our group that will be at work all next week (only three days) and thus, I'm in charge of three jobs that go out next week. OH, the fun... the joy... yippee.
Well... Happy Solstice! And everything else, too. :-)
