HTML and Fanfiction and Viruses, OH MY!

Let's start with the viruses . . . I apparently have a couple on my machine. I'm working at getting rid of them, but if you recieve anything from me without expecting it, PLEASE delete it as soon as you see it! I'm sorry if I've corrupted anyone else's system.

As for the html and fanfiction, well, guess what! I've created a new project that just might rekindle my interest in anime. At the moment it's specific to 3 fandoms - Weiss Kreuz, Gundam Wing, and Fushigi Yuugi - but that's subject to change.

Here's the deal: They're stories that others create. But more than that, you can choose how they go. I'll use a certain number of story submissions per part, so that you can make the story go any way you want to! It's kinda like the old "Choose Your Own Adventure" stories from my childhood.

Anyway, that project has only just gotten up and running, but it's going to continue until I get bored with it. The link is below, so please check it out and add something to it!!!

Splintered Dreams:

There's this series of stories that Cat Skyfire and I write about a lot. It's loosely based on the comic books ElfQuest, which means that we've taken the world and some of the niftier aspects and left the characters pretty much alone. So the series that we write about is populated solely by original characters.

These characters are some of the best we've ever come up with. It's no wonder we're addicted to writing together. Though our styles don't mesh at all, we still manage to end up with some stories that absolutely ROCK. Three of my muses come from the series (Memory, Stormseer, and Blade), and Ebony often shows up.

The original story started out to be a short fic about Ebony meeting a new tribe and helping out with a small problem. Cat and I wanted to see how well we'd do writing together. We did well enough that the first story became many parts, and gained not only a sequel, but an entire series of "side" stories. In the first story, we introduced some of the staples of the series (like Blade, Stormseer, Redwing, and Harmony) and touched on several others. In the sequel, we fleshed out some other characters, (like Watcher, Duck, and Chirp), and introduced others, like Dew. But even then, some characters, like Weedeater ("who's next?! Rototiller?!?"), didn't become real until much later.

These characters are very dear friends, and I will probably mention them often in the course of my online journal. This is because my life simply isn't complete without them. Some of the characters, like Mange and Grave, I've come to love and want to protect.

So don't be surprised if they make a regular appearance here. They make a regular appearance in my dreams, too!

You know, addiction is a bad thing. It gives you a serious weakness, something that sometimes gets in the way of life. That said, some addictions are worse than others. And people are addicted to different things. Me? I'm addicted to online comic strips. And not just one in particular, either!

It all started when Ashura Nagisa sent a link to Ozy and Millie to a list we both frequent. I read the strip, then started off at the beginning and read everything. And fell in love with the strip . . . From there, another friend recommended Kevin and Kell, and another one PvP Online. And then I went looking on Keenspot and got addicted to even more.

Boy Meets Boy, the link I've provided below, leads you to a witty, intriguing, and sometimes incredibly romantic comic about a gay couple. Harley and his boyfriend, Mikhael, are joined by an incredible supporting cast. (I LOVE the interplay between Skids and Cyan.) It's definitely a must for my collection, and I really have to thank Saishi for the suggestion! And now, I think I'm gonna go back and reread the BmB archives again!
