To the woman from Connecticut Ave in DC Saturday at approx 1pm: First of all, I am not a tourist. I've have lived in the DC area for about 18 years. Secondly, yes I can read. I'm not sure why that's relevant since walk/don't walk signs are pictures, but whatever. Since you are ignorant and apparently fond of making (incorrect) assumptions, let me point out that when I started across the street there was a little white stick figure man on the sign. I don't know about you, but where I come from that means 'WALK'. So I did. Granted it turned to 'don't walk' while I was halfway across the road, which prevented you from being able to turn into the parking lot to the zoo. Awww. I know that 4 or 5 extra seconds that it took me to get across must have really put you out. Perhaps you were late for your feeding. I guess in hindsight I should have stopped in the middle of the street when it turned to 'don't walk'. Yes, I should have impeded the flow of traffic so you could turn. I'm sorry, I didn't realize at the time that you were the most important person in the world... I will try to remember that for the future. That way, if I ever run into you again I can be sure to help you out in any way I can. I'm always happy to lend a hand, or a finger anyway... In short, FOAD plzkthx! Ok, I finished Shatterpoint last weekend. So much for savoring it. It was so good I couldn't bear to put it down. I don't know what to read next. Maybe a reread of Blade of Tyshalle? Ah, who knows.... I was going to post a link to the ZIM on DVD petition on Fillerbunny but I can't remember the password. D'oh! (HEY TK, yuo got NE passwr0ds? LOL!) Yoyoyoyo. Finally June 3rd has come and gone and now I am the proud owner of Shatterpoint! I am on chapter 3. I wanted to read more but I am trying to read it slowly and kinda savor it. So far it rocks though. GO BUY IT NOW. Hehehehe. I also got the second season of South Park on DVD. Love me some Trey Parker. (And Matt too, but Trey moreso...) My monorail from Disney World came yesterday too. Yay! Now all I need is Spaceship Earth, the switch station and all the resorts to go with it. Heh. So I am surfing the net and finding it quite boring. I don't know how Heather can spend so much time on the computer, especially since she has such a short attention span. Or maybe that's precisely why she can surf for so long. I dunno. I rarely get the chance to do it and when I do get bored really fast. Ok, time to find something to do. Ok, I should be packing right now for Disney, but of course I am putting it off until the last possible second. I am so excited! Star Wars and Disney World at the same time, what could be better than that?? Ok, well I can think of a couple of things, but you get the idea. I just got Matrix tickets. OMG an orgy of Agent Smiths! I can't wait. It better not suck. I don't think it will, but you never know... OK, I should go. I have to shower, go to the bank, eat, and pack before 5pm. Fun fun fun! At least our flight leaves from National and it's at the new terminal. This is the first time I've been on a flight that left from the new terminal. T minus nine days until I am on an airplane to Florida. Well, to Disney World anyway; DW is like its own little state. I am so excited. I haven't been to DW since March 2001 and for me that's a very long time! TK and I went trolling for comic book shops on Saturday since it was free comic book day. We found quite a few that I never knew existed, so that was very cool! I also spent way too much money. D'oh! Work is boring, that it why I'm neglecting it at the moment. If only this stupid headache would go away... Not to mention the poison ivy that's all over my arms. My world would be much happier without it. Mirax kicked ass at 04:46 p.m.
So Escapology finally came out in the U.S. It's about damn time! That means all you people better grab your asses and run to the nearest store to buy it!!!! Even better, go to Best Buy; it's on sale for .99 there! GO NOW. One other thing you have to buy are books by Matthew Woodring Stover. Most notably Heroes Die and Blade of Tyshalle... Of course you probably won't find those at your local bookstore (or you'll find one and not the other), so you'll havta get to amazon.com and get 'em. But DO IT. You will thank me later. Hmmmm. Lots of plugging going on here... and it's not like I get anything from it. Just the satisfaction of introducing people to new things and helping people I like get more recognition. Aren't I just soooo nice? *snicker* Not much going on, really. I'm trying to plan a trip to Disney World in May for Star Wars Weekends. Damn, I need a new layout. Not that I update this much, but still... I think the next one will be Piglet since he's got his own movie and all. Piglet's Big Movie. It's about damn time Piglet gets some recognition; I'm sick of all this Eeyore and Tigger BS. Not that I don't like Eeyore and Tigger, but Piglet often gets ignored in favor of them. Anyway. I'm going to visit a friend in Raleigh this weekend. Haven't been there in quite a while... 1997 was it? Oh wait, I went there to see Duran in 2000, but in wasn't actually in the city, just the suburbs so it doesn't really count. NC was never one of my favorite states, but it is better than New Jersey, I'll give it that. I'm just looking forward to seeing Dana! Yay! Still trying to figure out what to be for DragonCon. Now I know why SNOW is a four letter word. Man alive, I love me some snow but digging a car out of 20+ inches of it sucks ass! Especially when I dig it out one day (and pull it out of the parking space to make sure it's out), and then have to dig it out again the next day for some inexplicable reason. Grrr. Did I spell inexplicable right? I don't think I did. I am anal about spelling but I don't feel like checking to see if it's right. So I'm here at work today, one of only 8 people. I guess all the other employees were too lazy to dig themselves out. Slackers. Katsucon was pretty groovy... we saw lots of great costumes and the Cosplay was much fun. The BEST skits were PacMan, Duel of the Fiddles and MORTAL KOMBAT! MK was my personal favorite (too too funny); how can you go wrong with Sub-zero (YAY!) and not one, but TWO Scorpions? Plus the head/spine fatality. LOLOLOLOL! I do have one little rant though... If you don't want people taking your picture over and over, then don't wear a costume that people will want to take pictures of over and over!! Sheesh. If you put in the effort and time to make a great costume, people WILL WANT PICTURES OF IT. Deal with it or don't wear the thing. OK, time to get the hell out of dodge cuz we're closing early. Yay! Long time, no post. Like you care anyway. Well, I've heard that the DC metro area is out of duct tape. What good it will do, I have no clue. Is everyone just going to stay in their houses for the rest of their lives in anticipation of something happening? Today is Robbie's birthday, so happy birthday to him. I always remember when it is because it's right before Valentine's Day. Not that V Day is something I want to remember or anything. I'd much rather celebrate the birthday of one of my favorite musicians, thankyouverymuch. I still need to plan my trip to the RnR Hall of Fame next month. Three floors of U2! I can't wait to see Larry's Lemon suit in person. How fucking cool will that be? Very fucking cool, let me tell you. OK, back to work for me. As exciting as it is...
