That was a new development.
K-chan was nice enough to consent to dragging me to Kansas City yesterday, where I dragged her around in shopping hell. ^_^;
Was for some reason obsessed with pants and ice-cream colours and there just weren't that many tops around that caught my fancy. The sweater K-chan got was choukawaii though. Like raspberry sorbet. She had this berry thing going since MAC though... she was trying out nail polish colours and ended up with a berry-palette on her left hand (5 different berries for 5 fingers). *fu* And the one she got in the end was ohm. (Yah, I remember things like that, don't ask. I also remember that you got a lipstick called Natalie from stila about 2 years ago.)
Also spent an age trying to decide what t-shirt to get Evie-chan at Abercrombie. -_-; Ended up getting her the same one I got. *yareyare*
Was also a Cheesecake Factory! Brought a piece home but haven't eaten it yet. Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. *hearts*
I think these were all effects of the Mango Ceylon tea we had over lunch. Metabolic Frolick juice.

Doop-dee-doo, I'm in Iowa. K-chan's (supposedly) translating X behind me, but I bet she's not.
Plane ride over was tolerable... there were about 10 babies on the flight, i think there was some kind of adoption tour group who went to Guangdong or something... But they didn't bother me very much, I mean they cried, but somehow it wasn't too annoying. I was sitting in a window seat, which has its inconveniences, but at night, when I open my window to peer out, the Dipper was right in front of me.... so close!! Kyaaa~~~~ and sailing over all the clouds made me think of Laputa...
Arrived in Chicago at around 9-10am, and was supposed to board the noon-ish flight to Des Moines, but that flight got cancelled and had to get on the 3pm-ish one. X_X So i sat and bought girly mags.
K-chan and Jess G. were there to meet me at DM... K-chan's hair is long~!! @_@ But then, mine has brown highlights. (They were golden blonde, with a brown base, but I had an allover brown dye thing last time, so everything's darker by about 2 shades now. :P) And her uchi is neko ga ippai. (There are 3 cats... and they're everywhere. *nadenade*) And she's got the Prisoner of Azkaban book on tape!! "I'm getting there, Sirius" *^o^*
Spent most of the time so far watching schtuff. Like Gravi. *fu fu* And X Files. And Doumoto Bros. *fu fu* Might go see Monsters Inc. this evening. Fu fu fu.

*workworkwork* in Macau.
Not nearly as bad as my last project, and a bit more fun since I'm looking at the company's incentives (pay) system, which is more interesting than project management (and the client counterpart is nicer), and we're conducting interviews and we even did a 170-person survey last night.
Like I said before, we're living on the top floor of the client's building where they have a suite of guestrooms. Our team go out for dinner every night (need to get some kind of guide book of restaurants), and last night...
*walking back from dinner and looking up at the client building*

Harry: Hrn... Looks like it's my room!

Joanne: ...... you can really see into the room pretty well.

Am in Macau now... Kicking off the project, and the start is always quite light. But am (as K-chan sez) sick! Sick as a dog! -_-; Bad case of flu, I think. Nasal congestion and fever last night and throat is now scratchy. -_-;;;; Am taking meds that Mom gave me before I left... hopefully will feel better in the next day or so. *crosses fingers* The client-provided accomodations are not as bad as I had feared, so at least there's that. Mostly standard hotel room quality... while some rooms are quite large with sitting areas attached, and a bathroom the size of small bedroom. *boggle* Picked a regular sized one as the big ones just feel really weird. ^_^;

One of the english channels here went and bought the episode that they did on 911 (which they aired instead of the season premier on the first week they were back)... and is good~!! *shiku* Will have to wait a couple months before we'd get the latest season of the show, but am happy they broadcasted this episode first. *HEART* the show. Have always found it very compelling... and moving. *hearts* *incohrent *heart*sing as head is stuffed* *hearts~*

They've just laid off 6 people in my division. Out of 22 (including the bosses).
I'm not in the line of fire at all (for now anyway), but feel really depressed about all this.
Also miss fall in New England. Foliage and the crispness of the air and apples and caramel and Halloween.

A few pieces of news:
evergreen is out!!!!!!! U fu fu fu... MWA HA HA HA HA HA~!!!! Is really good song, a nice, soothing, beautiful ballad. *hearts* Romanization is done, but I won't put anything up till I've had a chance to do the translation. Fu.
Somehow managed to hook both Evie-chan and Karen-chan onto Gravitation, with no pushing at all. ^_^; Got to the point where Evie-chan sez things like "You're watching Gravitation without me!!" or "*blomps down on my bed* Let's watch Gravitation" and Karen-chan sez "Forget going to the birthday party, can we just stay here and watch Gravitation?" @_@ Maybe this is just a big thing for me cuz, well, Evie almost never watches any anime with me, and I didn't think either Karen or Evie would be interested in a yaoi one. ^_^;;;;;;;;
Work-wise, The Project Which I Dread will probably start up late this coming week or the week after. *shiku* And I'll be in Macau for 7 weeks. (Can come back to HK for weekends, I think, since is very close.) I don't mind the Macau part, but hate the client and the project scope. -_-; *sigh* Anybody want anything from Macau?? ^_^;
Also, due to immigration regs, I prolly have to take a trip to the States before the end of Nov. Have leave planned for early Nov (yah, it's right in the middle of my project, but whatever), but not sure what to do. Fucking hate this war. Fucking hate this situation. Fucking hate it that everybody's scared and worried and plans are being fucked over. (Talk to Evie-chan about that one.)
In the mean time, I will watch Gravitation, and read the Gravi manga, and listen to the soundtrack (I'm obsessed with Sleepless Beauty and Glaring Dream), and listen to hyde, in the style of blocking the world by plugging my ears and going "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA~~~"

I finally went to the page for hyde's new song and listened to the sample clip (both Japanese and English versions).
My god.
Ii uta ni narisou!!! Nante yutakana melody da. It really suits the name evergreen... I know it's only a 30 second sample clip, but the melody is so green and luscious. *falls into hyde coma*
Here's a contest -- listen to the clip and write out the lyrics!! For the first person to actually get all the lyrics right to either the japanese or english version of evergreen, I'll send a prize that's evergreen-related! *^O^* I was going to say both versions, but I guess I have to be fair to people who don't speak both languages. ^_^;
(Lyrics to be verified on release of CDS, and prize will depend on what they have at Sino Centre, eg poster, and my financial situation. ^_^;)

I am so officially mad.
I've managed to watch 14 episodes of Domoto Brothers this weekend, and the concert video MARS ~ Sora kara no houmonsha ~ Kaisou, over the course of which I've learnt that:
1. Gackt = Seishiro?? (See right)
2. Throw Shingo Mama and Gackt in one room and we have one happy family (if there's a japanese video rental store near you, try to rent the episode of Doumoto Kyoudai originally broadcasted on 26 August 2001. Guest is of course, Shingo Mama. You'll fall over laughing and hurt yourself. I guarentee it.)
3. Gackt loves some kind of sauce called "Yuzupon," asks for it whenever served anything, and will in fact drink it straight out of the bottle. (Oh, and he hates sweet stuff and does not eat rice. @_@)
4. Gackt knows how to speak Mandarin (Chinese)!!!
