speaking of which, i was watching Sailormoon today on YTV (at 6:30pm Vancouver time, i think (for those who are interested)) and i noticed that they make a big point of saying Uranus as "*yuran*-us".... and i was thinking, y'know, i've always pronounced it more like...

but "*yuran*-us" sounds like "urine-us" or "you're-in-us" so i'm thinking that it's a bad name overall...

(sorry, was watching WRC today.. ^O^ hase, you're right, those announcers/commentators *are* a funny lot... ^O^)
but despite being gritty, he still lost...........

funny convo in the parkade of my apartment building!
M: *pointing down* what's this?
S: oh, that. it's the remains of a cheezy (the cheetos(sp?) kind).
M: but it's so.... flat....
S: yes... well, it's been there for several months now... i remember when it used to look like a cheezy... i think someone stepped on it...
M: oh... i saw it yesterday, but i just thought it was a tempura shrimp. then when i saw it again today, i thought it looked more like a fishstick...
S: ^O^ and you didn't feel the need to question it when you thought it was a shrimp because.... you *often* seen tempura shrimps strewn about at random? as opposed to a fishstick? ^O^
