Saturday, December 15, 2001 2:07 a.m. many many items about which to blog today. 1) finals/papers: finally done!!! 2) no powaa: on thursday night/friday morning, vancouver had one of the worst wind storms *ever*. UBC lost power at 6am, minmin was kind enough to call and warn me about it, cuz she knew i had an essay due friday. but, occasionally flickering and surges aside, i was fine. At 10am i finished the paper. at 11am i took a shower. at 11:30am i printed out my paper. as i was doing a final read-through on my computer, at 12pm, the power shut off. O_O i was like: "okay, i can take this 2 ways. either: 1) somebody up there likes me and granted me a favour, or 2) somebody up there feels that i should be punished for leaving the essay until the last minute so decided not to give me an excuse not to hand it in." i'll let you know when i get my grades. o_O;; 3) I SAW HARRY POTTER LAST NIGHT!!! and it was okay.... ^_____^ (well, i hadn't slept in 36 hours... what i was concentrating most on was trying to stay awake! ^O^) but harry's cute, hermione's so pretty! (xio!!! you could totally cosplay her!) ron's accent is adorable! snape is...more effeminate in gestures than i would have pictured him........... >_> dumbledore talked too slowly and softly i thought.... i mean, i always pictured him as a more dynamic speaker, not one to spout cheesy lines in a cheesy "grandfatherly" voice. and you know what? draco is the most adorable looking boy!!! ^O^ he's got round round cheeks and big eyes! he's so cute! he's like a chibi! fred and george were not so cute and i'm sad they didn't really have a part in the movie.... (like mizzy's banner on her car...) *shrug* i dunno, but i'm afraid... http://140.186.76.247/~the16v/etc/gis2.wmv Getaway in Stockholm 2 a movie about... 2 cars whipping through stockholm. it's kinda long tho... and not *that* interesting. the best part would have to be the "music video"-type thing at the end with the end credits... ^O^;;; wine tasting Sunday, December 2, 2001 03:34 a.m. wow... i had the most interesting night!!! it was... so... movie like! surreal! so, dexy called me this morning (well, 12pm is morning for me.. ^O^) and asked if i wanted to do a wine-tasting party tonight. so i said yes, you know me, always up for a party.. ^O^ so i met dex, eva, and tamir at 5pm (i was 1/2 an hour late! ^O^;;;) at the wine shop, we spent some time getting 3 wines.... i dun know what they were ^O^ *is ignorant* but one was red, one was a chardonnay(sp?) and one was a dessert wine...muscat. then we were going to this one restaurant for take-out to go back to dex's to eat and drink, but that restaurant was really pricey... so we decide to go for pizza at the this Tapa's(?) restaurant. Then Eva gets a craving for sushi, so we go to the eatery for takeout maki rolls. and of course we need dessert for our muscat wine, so we go to this cafe-type place for chocolate fudge brownies. ^O^ all in all it took us 3 hours to collect the food! so then we go back to dex's to "get our grub and drink on" as they put it. it was so much fun! and we got to chatting and it went on and on!! i didn't even notice time passing! it was an *amazing* session! we were all so open and we talked about *everything*... (well... me not really having much to say.. but.. ^_____^) at one point, dex decided to play devil's advocate and really got tamir going on the whole religion vs. science deal... (that was when eva and i decided to talk about relationships.. ^O^) but it was just *so* cool... i haven't really had a chat session like that since minmin and i stayed up all night last year (quite by accident). man... i'm still all sparkley over it... ^________^ (so anyways, sorry cyssie for breaking my promise and not being at the same cat channel at the same cat time, ne? *snuggles b'ankie* i wuf you!) ^O^ LOL aliya and minmin are *so* not gonna understand that previous sentence! ^O^
