On the road again!

Sorry for another long entry. >.< I need to update more often to prevent this sort of thing...

New Layout~! It's hot off the press, too! I finished encoding it and everything last night (after staring at if for three days in Photoshop). I'm not sure if I'm even satisfied with how it turned out though. ::sigh:: It is a different style than I am used to. I like my anime. However, I've been craving to watch this movie for a while (but want to save it for another time) so why not make a layout out of it? XD The text is from Rent, by the way, since I finally watched it and am now listening to it 24/7.

So...last week was pretty much bombarded with Jaymee's cotillion dance practices. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for at least three hours each. O.O That is a lot of bonding time. XD Our fearless leader fed us quesadillas, Filipino French toast (French toast using pan de sal), and macaroni. Mmm... =) It seems that anayufan likes to use me as his dummy partner, even though he should be practicing with KP. ::insults flying:: >.< Scary!!

Celine's graduation on the 12th, however, was the craziest graduation I have ever seen/attended. People were dancing on chairs, parents were running into the aisles to give their kids leis, students smothering teachers with hugs while receiving their diplomas, and one even threw her diploma off the stage towards the audience while her friends (not students) ran on and danced with her on the stage during the commencement ceremony. O.O That was insane!! Angela and I made a poster for her...including pictures of us, the three musketeers when we were so tiny. Aww...

Ollau finally came back from Paris but to leave on Sunday for her summer immersion trip. Argh! Therefore, KP and I stopped by her house to watch movies and eat on Friday. KP rented Match Point and brought her copy of RENT to watch. Although she had to leave early, I borrowed Rent from her.

Match Point was trippy. Terrible dialogue, in my opinion, but Jonathan Rhys Meyers is love. ♥ It's Woody Allen. What do you expect? ::shrugs:: Still...very trippy. The end left me with so many mixed feelings that I demanded to watch Rent. XD I am obsessed with Rent now. I have been listening to it over and over again! Although, I've been dying to watch it ever since it was in theaters (and then got kicked out of theaters), I cut myself off from the music until I watched it. So yay!

We finally got our new sofas the other day. They're kind of brown, but it's a good color. It contrasts well with our very white house. ^^ My mom bought a loveseat and one chair. We can't recline anymore...but it's still comfy. The old sofa (which is about 30 years old O.O) is sitting outside right now, with the crickets. Haha.

Family reunion in two days, so I'll be pretty busy helping my mom set up and stuff. Then maybe after this my mom can finally stop stressing...

I just recently discovered Ouran High School Host Club and I'm officially addicted! ♥ It's like Fruits Basket on drugs. Haha. It's so good. ^.^ Hikaru and Kaoru are my favorite...but really I love all of 'em, except for Renge, she gets a little annoying after a while. ^^;

Another series that I started watching is Prince of Tennis off of YouTube (which is by far the greatest video site ev4R!!). I only got to episode 12 or so because my dad started to yell at me for using the internet so much. T.T I've also started watching the Japanese Comedy Drama (or dorama) Attention Please which is really cute. Aya Ueto is so cute! ^^ She really reminds me of Mika Nakashima, though, when she was Nana. And (to put in Jaymee's terms) I have found another "squish". Haha. Ryo Nishikido (I think that's his name) from NEWS is gorgeous! Chibi Ryo is kawaii-desu as well.

As for the title of this entry, I finally started to practice driving again. After about two months, my dad finally forces me to drive him around on Father's Day. Oh...by the way, I suck. XD I suck at driving. S-U-C-K! I must cram in more practices before I leave for college because I need that license.

All this computer time though deserves a break, ne? So, while at ollau's house I borrowed some reading material, since she is not going to be reading them anytime soon. ::ahem:: Perhaps I'll actually finish them this time and return them in less than a year. One can hope. XP I borrowed The Time Traveler's Wife and Funny in Farsi from her personal library. Being in a romantic mood as of late, (haha) I started The Time Traveler's Wife on Sunday. I'm such a slow reader...but I like it so far. Hope I finish it.

Parties, Scrapbooks, and Zero sleep = sick

That's right, I'm sick. It is summer and I'm sick. >.< Although, it's around finals week right now and I always get sick around finals week. So it's somewhat expected. Still...it sucks.

No new layout for the lovely month of June, yet. It depends when I remember to actually pick myself up and move over to the computer that actually has Photoshop installed on it. XD Who knows when that's going to happen.

Lots of parties as of late. Summer vacation started with lots of rushing around and little rest. My sleep patterns are a little gross (I make the excuse that I'm sick so I can sleep 12 hours). Since my dad's working nights now, there's no one around to wait for me to go to sleep. But also, since he works a lot now, I have no form of transportation. Sucks.

Wednesday, May 31st: Hung out with ollau, Alice, and Shana to celebrate ollau's birthday! ^_^ Happy (belated) Birthday! Hope you're enjoying Paris and the poodles. It was fun. While several others were running/driving around San Francisco for their senior trip, we sat at home scrapbooking (well Shana, Alice, and ollau did, I helped) and watching The Producers. Funny musical, that one is. What else can you expect from Mel Brooks. ::shrugs:: Then we made pizza and ate half-burnt cookies. Yum.

Thursday, June 1st: Stopped by school to deliver something to Senora. I started feeling sick then. Upside, got several people's signatures. Yay!

Friday, June 2nd: Gymnastics party at Angie's. I didn't find out about this party until the night before around 10pm during late night email exchanges with Natasha. Haha. It was fun. Pool party! ^_^ Involving cake fights and me getting thrown in the pool, jeans and everything. >.< Poor Becky though. Her phone was in her back pocket and she got thrown in too. Hope it works now. We got our t-shirts, pictures, and certificates that day too. Anything for free food I guess, even though I was getting sick. Ugh.

Sunday, June 4th: Katie's graduation party. Yay! Party at the senior center. Haha. I learned how to play Rummy again and taught KP and Luffy how to play Egyptian War (slapping and everything). Serra's brother gathered all of the balloons in the room and wrapped them around his right hand. It was hilarious because he would purposely try to rub them against Serra's head to see how many locks of hair he could get to stand up. ^^; KP and I enjoyed the salad, fruit, and lasagna. It was fun deciding whether to eat black with white cake or white with black cake. XD Near the end, we stole a couple balloons from Serra's brother and inhaled the helium. Luffy's so cute. Then we set the balloons free, watching them fade into the distance. Serra gave me some pink fresh water pearls. So pretty. And Luffy should supply music for parties because she rocks at it. Off to another party...

Sunday and Monday, June 4th-June 5th: Natasha's birthday party/co-ed sleepover. Who was there: Natasha (XD), KP, Wendy (came late), me, Rosanna (but she left), Alice (but she left), Lawrence (but he left), Eric, Lukas, and Nikon. Malav never showed up...grr. XD It was absolutely fun. KP and I barely got a wink of sleep. We win. =) The order of the party went: food, cake, gifts, Bend It Like Beckham, Chocolat, Mr. & Mrs. Smith (+special features), and The Titanic. Everyone watched Bend it Like Beckham. Eric and wendy fell asleep during Chocolat, while Nikon pretended to be asleep. Everyone else went to sleep after Chocolat. KP and I, still wired, popped in Mr. & Mrs. Smith and watched the entire thing by ourselves with quotes and side comments. Then while everyone was asleep we hopped outside to watch the sunrise. So pretty. ♥ And then we dug through Natasha's video library, found the Titanic, and watched that. Needless to say, I crashed when I got home. Being sick and staying up practically all night is definitely not good. ¬.¬;; Oops.

Wednesday, June 7th: Triple date! KP/Nikon, BLam/Samantha, and me/Lawrence. Golfland here we come! We had a most interesting car ride though. ::nudge KP nudge:: Haha. OMG! OMG! The guys were being complete girls, taking forever to get ready. XD I had a little accident by stepping in some ooey gooey mud. BLam was late picking up Samantha and we all together spent over 2 hours minigolfing. Haha. My annoying cold symptoms attacked me though. Not fun. We drove off to Nikon's house and watched Pirates of the Caribbean. His parents are so cool...letting six teenagers sit around in their family room to watch TV alone. KP/Nikon went off to eat at the Cheesecake Factory (their first lone date...aww...) and BLam/Samantha also went off to eat dinner. Aww...so cute. Meanwhile, those without cars (me and Lawrence) went home. T.T Woe is me. Haha.

Thursday, June 8th: My mom takes me out finally go get my disposable cameras developed. One camera was back from Junior Prom! O.O;; So many old pictures. We're such a lazy family.

Friday, June 9th: Jaymee's first cotillion practice. Not everyone showed up. Pooh on them. ::pouts:: But it was fun. It was held at anayufan's house. We need to hang out more, dude. The best part was when we would practice in the street and would have to yell out, "CAR!!!" every five minutes so we could scatter and avoid being hit. One old couple saw us dance and as they drove my applauded us. ^_^ Jaymee's our fearless leader who has decided not to dance and therefore simply sits in the shade while we bake and feeds us yummy quishe. Mmm...quishe.

Saturday, June 10th: House cleaning~! (for the family reunion coming up) Lawrence and I finally told the parentals about how we've been going out. Yay! ♥ It wasn't that scary. =.=;; But my dad refuses to drive at all until the yard looks pretty. ::mumble mumble::

Sunday, June 11th: More cleaning and shopping for furniture. One of the musketeers is graduating tomorrow. Yay! Me and the other shall stop by and cheer for you. Woot!
