[added] Jon, I am sad to say ::sniff::, is closing down his blog. T_T (I might be over-dramaticizing this...XD) Well, that's about it I think... ::blink:: [/added]
Yes, the title of the entry today brings news to those who are highly disappointed in my actions. It took me one year and approximately two weeks, but I have accomplished the inevitable. I have finished The Order of the Phoenix. XDDDD
The reason why it took me so long was because a dear friend told me who died in the end a few after the book was released for she had already finished reading it. I was only half way done. T_T I couldn't look at the book the same way...kept thinking how one of my favorite characters was doomed to die. So I had to stop. Couldn't pick the book up again until a couple weeks ago. I wasn't too eager to finish the book. You see, still a little weary about the whole demise of that one character, but ollau called me and edged me on. Took me maybe about two weeks the second half, because I cannot sit still for long periods of time. I just can't. >.< So I read about one to two chapters a day. Pushing myself to read the several hundreds of pages that I needed to conquer. ^.^
I think this is the only book so far that has made me cry... ::sniff:: Well, cry because of sadness for the plot, not because I have the only finished half of the book and there is only about a week before school starts. XDD
I hated and loved this book, like many people do. The beginning was kind of weird to me, I didn't like how Harry was so fussy and mean. But the second half that I read recently, was very intriguing.
My favorite part about this book is that J.K. Rowling made the dialect between the characters very witty and it made me laugh all the time. So very funny. Another favorite part was when Harry went into the Pensieve(sp?) and saw James, Sirius, Lupin, and the other (smashes him with a hammer) finishing their O.W.L.'s and hanging out by the tree near the lake(?). I absolutely love the Marauders!! ::glomps:: Anything when they're together makes me so happy. ^_^ This one guy, Valet, at Gaia drew this amazing picture, which he finished on the computer, with that exact scene except he left the other (continues to smash with a bigger hammer) out of the picture. XDD Made me very happy.
The major appearance of Cho's relationship with Harry kind of blind sited me though. I thought, "Wow! She likes Harry now? Go figure." I thought that it was quite of quick switch from Cedric to Harry. But I guess it was okay. But I must say, for a girl, she really confused me about her feelings and stuff. I think she really needed to work on tact, too. Not just Harry. After all, she brought up the worst subjects at the wrong times.
I blame Harry for the demise of that special character though. ::sniff:: It's all Harry's fault! =_=
But now I wonder how the sixth and the seventh books are going to turn out. We're just at the tip of the iceberg and yet there are only two books left. But then again, Tolkien had a lot going on in the Lord of the Rings in just three books. ^^ Much hope...
Let's see, I was hoping that I'd finish Harry Potter earlier though, I still need to finish reading The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown since I stopped reading that book halfway too. There was a better reason though, finals was coming up and I wouldn't have time to finish it because I read as slow as it takes a turtle to climb Mount Everest. XDDD
I went to see Kill Bill vol.2 on Sunday with Miho fan-tasista and my dad. ^.^ We went to the cheap theater. XDD I thought it was much better than the first movie though. Only problem, when I went to see the first movie there wasn't a huge head blocking the middle of the screen. >.< I wanted to kill that guy!! ::draws picture of fat head blocking screen and then beats it down:: XDD I thought it was nice though. Not as gory as the first one so I was happy. My dad thought it was still apparently very gross, but then again he squirms at the site of blood and ear piercings... XD Miho fan-tasista really really liked the popcorn. ^^; My dad always gets extra butter and so it tastes reall really good, but it gets really really fattening. XDDD My favorite part was when Uma snatched the eye. XDD I was totatlly not expecting it. ^^
Here's a shout out to Michelle. ^_^ I hope she feels better soon and finds the answers that she's looking for. ^.^
Another shout out to Galaxia for agreeing to host my images and helping me find the perfect FTP thingy. XD She's an angel! ::glorious music plays in the background:: ^^;

Friday, June 18, 2004Actually, Geocities! isn't the only thing that's getting on my nerves at the moment. Grr... Currently's it is the image host for the majority of the images on my site. Actually, it IS the host for all of the images on my site. Anyways, the images haven't been loading properly it seems. At first I thought that it was just my browser, but Miho fan-tasista has complained about the slow loading as well. I can't do anything about it at the moment though. I'm sorry. But I've found out that if you right click on them and select "show picture" the picture shows itself. So my conclusion is that Yahoo! Geocities is just being big pain in the @$$!! ::goes off to beat up something::
I've recently been searching for the perfect image host that allows direct linking or hotlinking, and a lot of storage space along with bandwith. I found two competent sites, but as soon as I upload my pics, the next day I can't even visit the site in its entirety. ::bursts into flames:: Either it's just my stupid freaking browser that loathes me so, or nothing's ever going to work.
Gaia seems to loathe me as well for some reason. It seems that it has banned by IP address for one day, but when I come back the next day, it bans the IP address for another day! ERGH!
I've also tried contacting Misai, but it seems that she's taken a summer part-time job! That busy little chica! ^^

Sunday, June 13, 2004Now what to do...XD. Ever since school got out on the 2nd, I've sort of become a techno couch potato. T_T I need something to do besides surf the web, check out Gaia, and read manga, though it sounds so perfect. If this continues I'm going to become weak and then super lazy by the time Junior year strolls by. That's not good.
I made a layout to put up next, but I don't know if I want to put it up this month. It's true that I won't be around during the first days of June and that I will probably not have the time to spend all of my time on the internet because of summer school, but I hate putting layouts up using AOL as my browser. It lags so much and so badly. T_T Boohoohoo!
I finally have all of my pics developed from FanimeCon '04. Now the only problem: where to find the perfect image host. Actually I found one site, but when I tried to upload more images today, it said that the site's bandwith was exceeded. So now they're probably going to start metering it which isn't good if I want to put up all 29 pics to show the world at once. T_T ::sulks:: More searching must be done then...::searches for the perfect image host...:: XD
I'm totally obsessed with ideas for cosplaying for the next FanimeCon next year. ::drools:: I'm thinking about cosplaying as Shampoo from Ranma 1/2. There's this really cool outfit that she wears when she goes to battle Pantyhose Taro, and I want it! Grr... I already have a collage of pics that I can show my auntie so she can help me. Of course I'm not going to attempt to make it on my own! I've never sewn in my life! XDDD The only thing closee enough was cross-stitching and undoing the stitches that my mom did on my pants to shorten 'em. >.<
