'Tis the Beginning

Friday and Saturday have just been plain weird for me. It's interrupting my flow...XD Let's see...anayufan came by after school to visit. There was nobody in the library, so we decided to hang out in the mac lab. Larry came with, too. You band ditcher, you. Haha. So that was fun. Anayufan and I tried to imitate what the guy and girl do in 3-Iron by taking photos of ourselves with his digital camera in front of paintings and random objects. We ended up making a short film of our fingers fighting (like kung-fu). And for the most part, when anayufan took the pictures, he'd only get the top half of my head so I looked uber short. Haha. It was fun. I fought the urge to eat Luffy's rollercoaster as well.

Then as mentioned in the last post, my parents, KP, and I went to see the Lion King: the Musical, which was, well, awesome. ^^ But you see, I don't normally go see musicals, so the weekend is already special.

Saturday, I had my first Driver's Training experience, 3/3|2 (aka ever). We went straight on the freeway. I was holding onto the steering wheel so tight that the other instructor (who was kind of cute ♥) in the back said, "Hey, you know you should probably loosen that death grip of yours on the wheel a little bit. You're practically choking it. Just relax." XDD It was a rather interesting 2 hours of my life. Took a few years off of it, almost running into cars and stuff, but still kind of fun. There was another student in the car, too, so we switched a little so she could drive home. Now...that was scary. She'd never driven in her life, and the first two minutes when she was driving were very scary. >.< But then she calmed down a little, and, needless to say, we're alive. XD

We ate lunch at In 'n Out. Yum. Went to the uber cool library that's practically half an hour away from our house. Borrowed some books for my English essay. Since we had some time to kill, we looked for DVDs to borrow. I got sad because I couldn't find Tim Burton's Corpse Bride and ended up borrowing the first volume of the first season of ALIAS and a random volume of Freaks and Geeks. Went home. Found some more college letters. And I proceeded to procrastinate on my homework, again.

3 Words: The. Lion. King.

I saw the musical Friday night with KP and my parents. It was awesome. The set was awesome. The music was awesome. Everything about it was awesome. The elephant walked by us (right next to us)...hyenas...birds...::sighs::

It's a Wednesday...XD

Why can't it be a Friday?!! T.T

Ahem. School was alright today. But I remember another dream that I had this morning. What's with this sudden streak of dreams all of sudden?! >.< It's kind of freaky but fun at the same time. I won't elaborate as much about this one though. I just want to mention that Haley James Scott and Lucas Scott (from One Tree Hill) were in my dream. ^_^ Yay! And why are most of my dreams set at my old school?!

My religion teacher wasn't here again today. I actually don't like it when he's gone. Why? Because he assigns us to outline a long @$$ chapter out of the book and I hate it. Just typing one sentence from each section randomly you'll still get 8 pages worth of an outline....=.=

I FINISHED INVISIBLE MAN last night (or should I say this morning?) around ONE A.M., but I did it. Heehee...I'm so proud of myself. I actually read it too. I didn't skim...I didn't fall asleep either. ^^ I read 100 pages straight!! Of course I stopped a bit to watch Sasha Cohen skate...but other than that. I did it. I was able to sit down in one spot without the power of technology distracting me, and I read it all. And I'm proud that the quiz was pretty cool too. I'm great at remembering random details. =P

I'm really not liking Calculus though. I almost fell asleep with the rest of the class. XD

Gym was alright today. I didn't really have to do anything though. >.< We spent most of the time on the uneven bars. I don't do bars, so I just watched them. XD But then we tackled the new routine on beam. Last year I didn't do beam because I couldn't even do the opening move to get on the beam. XD But I can do the starting move. I'm so proud of myself. haha.

So today...today was a very proud day. Except for Calculus. Even everyone bought all my cookies. I was a little sad because I didn't get to eat the left overs, but it was for a good cause. So oh well. Haha.

Better go. Have to eat dinner and then read through 60 evil pages of Spanish Literature for a quiz tomorrow. And Spanish Lit isn't technically evil. Just the homework and it's crazy amount. ^^;

I'm really energetic now...I don't know why...heehee...

Play Review: Gem of the Ocean

Friday was rather fun. ^^ Although, I couldn't talk for half the day because my throat was all spazzy.

Saturday: Went with the Shakespeare Club to see August Wilson's Gem of the Ocean. It was fun. ^_^ The play itself was alright. There were some kind of boring scenes, but the scene when they are taking Citizen Barlow to see the City of the Bones was awesome. The lighting was very beautiful and effective. And they did a much better job than those who acted it out in class. XD Sorry guys. Overall, I like watching August Wilson's plays performed. Of course, they are meant to be performed over being read, but still. I can't really write a review actually. I just sit and watch. XD I haven't seen enough to give a review. My personally opinion was that it was great, and that I'm glad I saw it.

Anyways, I had another interesting dream yesterday morning. I didn't have time to post it, so I wrote it down. XD Now I'm posting it. Actually, there were two. I woke up and then went back to sleep. Thus, I had two different dreams.

Dream Number One:
We were graduating from high school. There was this huge procession down the street. People were driving cars and some were walking. (kind of like a parade) The procession lead to this huge stadium that I think I've dreamed about before. But I don't remember what happens at the stadium. I just remember the stadium turning into a cabin near a beach. Mainly everyone was at the beach, except for me and this other guy. Then this random guy comes running in, carrying a blue duffel bag and threatening to flush someones diary/journal down the toilet for fun. I try to take the journal away from him. Then the other guy that I was with grabbed the random guy. I kicked the journal flushing random guy in the nuts and ran off towards the beach to return the journal to its rightful owner. At the beach, I watched several people playing with a beach ball. The ball lands in the tide and almost gets swept away until one of the guys runs out knee deep in water and grabs it. I wake up.

Dream number two
Setting: An indoor pool. There are three of us. Two girls (including me) and a guy. We are playing a game of tag. I hesitate at first because I'm not really fond of the game. After several trials of deciding who will be "it", we decide to race for it. Whoever swims to the beach ball in the middle of the pool first is "it". I'm racing against the guy. And he leaps off first and I'm still standing on the pool deck. After he touches the ball, I dive in, but I never swim back up to the surface. I end up swimming to the far left of the pool. The guy chases after me to tag me. I'm cornered against the wall. I try to push off the wall, but my legs are too weak. He charges at me. Boom. BOOM. I run into the wall behind me. And slams right next to me. Suddenly, I'm Ariel from the Little Mermaid and he's Sebastian. The indoor pool starts to collapse. The three of us run towards the one sliding door of the indoor pool and we resemble characters from Beauty and the Beast, except the guy had transformed into a ballpoint pen. The door almost shuts, but I stick the ben in and we easily slip through to safety. The end.

Interpretations? Comments? Concerns? Haha.

I got a random phone call from one of my friends from middle school. We ended up talking for like three hours on the phone. All of my middle school friends are either drunk, high, have disappeared, gone preppy/stuck up, lost their virginity within Frosh year, or as in the case of one who called my last night, a high performance driver who plays the bass in a band, does water polo, and does pyrotechnics. This is one public high school and only like 5 people from my eight grade class. O.O I guess that's what happens when you go from a Fundamentalist Christian school with so many rules and limits to a public school with practically all the doors of life open at once. I'm not actually that surprised. But I'm happy with where I am though. I wouldn't have had it any other way. =)

Went driving on the street today. I was so scared. >.< Near the end, I was driving on this one street or should I say expressway, and there were so many cars and my dad was telling me to do too many things I once. I felt really overwhelmed. I have driver's training class next week. Woohoo! Two hours of driving on the street. Luckily this guy's a professional. And he has a brake. XD

Well, I need to do some of my homework. My books are starting to get a little dusty. ¬.¬ XD

And I still need to post that promised spoiler/plot summary for 3-Iron. Haha. Later I guess. This entry took me a while to type up.

Five day weekend!! Woohoo!! ::dies::

I'm getting sick. I was having chills all day yesterday. And now my nose is all stuffy or just weird...

Next Valentine's Day, I want to go to San Francisco. They had a giant pillow fight there. ^_^

Valentine's Day

I had the strangest dream this morning. My dad woke me up at least four times because I had to be at school by 7:45. Well. It didn't work. But I got a very interesting dream.

My dream: It was like Pirates of the Caribbean meets National Treasure. XD My dad and I were the treasure hunters. We went down to the Caribbean and there was a tropical storm. But the dream revealed the ending and then backtracked from there. Savvy? So, first, we were at home. And I was brushing my teeth when there was this old wrinkled up piece of paper on the sink. I accidentally got water on it, and it started getting flaky and turning yellow. Apparently it was the treasure map. I yelled at my dad and tried to nudge it away. He told me that he put it there so other people wouldn't find it and try to steal it. o.O

So after that, I guess I had a flashback. And we were down in the Caribbean. There was a tropical storm, like I said. And I remember we were in this weird museum. This one area was a dome with glass panes surrounding half of it and one glass door leading to the outside. The ceiling had part of sphere protruding down towards us and was gold plated. Another gold plated ring surrounded it and there was writing engraved on it. We stepped outside to run away from someday. I can't remember. And then this huge flood of water came down a hill and we escaped back inside just in time. We recognized the stuff on the ceiling and realized where we could find the map.

Cut scenes to my dad driving a flat bed out of a river. Chris M and Lukas were there helping us pull out the flat bed. Then I realized it was 7:05am, rolled out of bed, and ran to take a shower. XD The end.

So very weird dream....Needless to say, I was late for team mass this morning. But I wasn't the only one, two other gymnasts were late too. ::high five:: Luckily Lynn wasn't there to mock us. >.< That would have been terrible. But I recognized the priest from a very familiar Jesuit Retreat House. ::cough cough::

I just realized that once my parents get the six-week grades, I'm dead. T.T It won't be pretty.

Moving on, Chamber Choir was delivering roses today. They were uber expensive, but they need a way to get money so they can go to Utah. XD I bought a rose for Becky and addressed it from Mr. Bingly from Pride & Prejudice. I still need to watch that movie. It's coming out soon. Good. I'm going to buy it.

Jaymee got a rose from "Michael Jackson". ::laughs::

I brought chocolates for everyone. And it wasn't the cliche Hershey's Kisses and Hugs either. =P I was giving out Belgian Chocolate Biscuits. So good. Luffy was ecstatic. ^.^

Econ was boring. Again. So boring, that I started making an origami paper crane. XD Then out of the goodness of one's heart and through pure boredom, I got a gift. ^_^ So now, I can't say that I never received flowers on Valentine's Day this year. XDDD I got a couple. Thanks Edmund. But my favorite one is this one:

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Haha. In other words. I got paper flowers. ^_^ Read the words on one of the petals. XD Mr. Darcy? =) English nerds we are. ♥ Thanks ollau.

After school, there was Chinese Ribbon Dance in the hallway. Very fun. But then we went outside for more room, and the wind was very annoying. There was a lot of pollen and dust too. Bleh.

So that was my very interesting day. I'm just dreading tomorrow and Thursday because I have 6 week tests in some of the most evil classes. Oh well. With all of this stress and crap, I'm going a little loony. @_@ Haha. Hopefully the five day weekend will do me good. Anyone want to see a movie or go shopping? ::nudge nudge::

Oh...and palindromes are fun. ^^ My piano teacher yesterday starting listing them during my lesson and there are some weird and long ones. You know the ones like dad and mom and Bob and "race car" which can be read the same way forwards and backwards, right? Well here's one: "Go hang a salami, I'm a lasagna hog." Weird...but it works. There are some pretty interesting ones and they're easy to find if you google 'em. ^_^

Must go study. Have fun ollau on the retreat. You will be missed.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, EVERYONE!!!

Movie Review: 3-Iron

Yesterday was pretty good. Pretty good. ^_^

On Friday though, instead of going to Sadies, I slept a little, then watched the Olympics opening ceremony while doing some of my Calculus homework, and then started watching Witch Hunter Robin. It was an alright night. Would have preferred to go to Sadies, but by the time my Grande Caramel Frappachino kicked in, it was too late. ::shrugs::

In my opinion, the opening ceremony was boring. ^^; Until near the end when they finally lit the flame and it practically ignited the whole stadium. For a split second...but still. XD

I like Witch Hunter Robin. The subtitles get a little confusing, but I like. I'm already on the second disk. ¬.¬ (That's EIGHT EPISODES that I've watched so far). ::whistles::

I woke up a little late on Saturday. Blah blah blah. Had my make-up piano lesson at 3:30 pm because my teacher had an angiogram. It was fun. Apparently one of my peers at my music school got to help teach the little ones and she got paid too. T.T Now I want to help out if it involves money. XD

Afterwards, Stephy and I headed for anayufan's birthday party. We were supposedly late. ¬.¬ In total attendence, me, Stephy, Henry, Jon, Jen, Antonette, Edmund, Jaymee, and Chris went. But of course, not all of them were there at the same time. Stephy left early for a dinner thing, and Henry and Jon left shortly after the cake was served. But then, Jon came back. o.O;; Haha.

We drove over to Blockbuster (which is only a minute drive) and rented three movies. Being a birthday party, you'd think, we'd rent comical American movies right? No....we rented the original Japanese version of Dark Water, some weird Asian movie about 2 sisters (it sounded scary >.<), and 3-Iron. We started out with Dark Water first because anayufan just randomly picked it. After, I don't know, 15-30 minutes of boring freaky torture, we ate cake. And popped in 3-Iron.

So....3-Iron. I liked it. There's not a lot of talking in it, but their actions say a lot. And I think it's a movie that should be watched with other people. So when it gets really quite...you can think aloud, "What's he doing?" "Uh...I'm confused." "What'd he do for a living?" And all that stuff. So yeah...it's more fun that way. The main guy had awesome hair. And was quite buff. XD My favorite line was "Go ahead. Shoot me. Make my day". Bang. Aaah!

You'll get it if you watch it. I'll post a complete spoiler/summary on my livejournal if you're interested. ^_^

But the end was really cute and sweet. So I highly recommend it.

Afterwards, anayufan kicked several of our butts at uh...I can't remember the name of the game. >.< Sorry. But the fifth one just came out. XD If that helps?

That was about it. But hanging out with people who I normally don't hang out with is fun. I love anayufan's Hiyaas friends. They're interesting. XD ♥

I saw Ayumi Hamasaki's new PV Startin'. Let's just say...it's different. You'll have to see it yourself. ::shrugs:: But I like the song at the moment. It's nice and upbeat. Perfect for me. XD

And as a final word....no me gusta conducir. I don't like it. At least my dad...it's not fun.

Oh...and I think I'm getting sick. My throat has been hurting all day and I woke up with a stuffy nose. Also, my energy's been completely sapped. So I'm "overdosing" on vitamins and airborne and throat drops to fight the cold. I can't be sick next week end. I can't.

=.= Sleep....

I'm so unbelievably tired that it's not even funny. It's not even all my fault either. Sure I went to bed around midnight...but I couldn't even get a good solid two hours of sleep because the stupid construction workers behind our house were working their stupid machines from friggin' 5pm-4am nonstop. T.T All I heard all night was "beep beep beep" and "roar" and "honk honk". It's not even normal tired.

I've even decided not to go to Sadies tonight. I don't have the energy at all. Even the nice Starbucks run after school didn't help. Caffeine doesn't really effect me anyway. Not a lot of my friends are going either so where's the fun? ::shrugs::

I had three tests/quizzes today. ::cries:: I think I failed aka did very badly on all of them. Even the Econ test. I took twice as long on the test as I normally would have because I was reading every other question at least 4 times through due to my lack of concentration. >.< So sleepy~! I'm going to bed after posting this.

KP's sick too. Poor child. And I'm praying for a friend in my Physics class. ::pats head::

Moving on...I've been tagged by Misai to list 20 random facts about me. =) So here we go.

01. I'm addicted to Photoshop and I'll be sad if I go to college without it.
02. I'm not allergeric to anything...yet.
03. I don't speak up often, but other times I tend to eavesdrop and put in my share of thoughts. ¬.¬
04. I've gone to private school all my life.
05. I was afraid of my mom's caribou when we went to the Philippines.
06. Being the only girl in my 8th grade Algebra 1 class made me happy. Nerd...I know.
07. When I listen to music, I make movies in my head following the lyrics.
08. I've lost an inch from my height due to my terrible posture.
09. I have a soft spot for hot asian or white guys. XD
10. I own over 100 beanie babies. ^^;
11. Stephy is letting me get in touch with my Asian side.
12. Michelle is letting me get in touch with my Filipino self.
13. The cd I'm listening to is making me depressed...::switches music::
14. My life is full of empty promises. Half of which I don't remember too well.
15. Stuffed animals melt my heart.
16. My mom's zucchini caserole is the best-est thing in the world!!! ♥
17. When I was five years old, I wanted to be a marine biologist...only because I liked dolphins and orcas. XD
18. 21 is my favorite number.
19. Please donate money to my "Trip to New York to only watch Wicked" fund. It's my favorite cd at the moment.
20. I own two backpacks and switch them every other day. XD And roller backpacks should die. Sorry.

Finally. All done. Now, I tag: Stephy, Aencille, Jaymee, Calvin, Kris, Edmund, GundaManiac, Dolt, and anyone else who wants to do it. I'm not forcing you though. So don't be hatin'. XD

Olympics start today, I think. I hope Michelle Kwan wins something. XD Boy...that's specific. I'm going to record it and then sleep. ::yawn:: Ta ta ::waves::.

Oi! My arm...

First I want to give major props to Calvin for getting rid of my hiccups...oh...and so kindly letting me borrow his Witch Hunter Robin DVDs. ♥ ::glomps:: =)

Today was my first day of gymnastics practice. Well, for me at least. I already missed the last three practices, so this is my first for the season. My arms hurts. I think I strained it on vault. T.T But it was somewhat fun, so we'll see if I plan on actually doing gym or not. I'm still a little iffy. ¬.¬

Although, yesterday, KP taught me how to do some ribbon dance moves for her Chinese dance. ^_^ She complimented me. ::feels cool:: Haha. It's probably all that para para-ing that helps me with the arm movements and stuff. XD But it's fun. I can't wait to learn with the others and learn more sequences and stuff. Yay!

I'm kind of awake now. Exercise does a body good. Just not my right arm. Ack. Okay...not complaining anymore. XD

Dinner time. Gilmore Girls tonight. I'm excited. It looks good. ^^

...

My dad took me driving this morning. I almost hit a tree. In a parking lot. Going 15mph. I'd rather not talk about it. ¬.¬;;

Had another weird dream this morning. Involving Wernick, Natasha, Calvin, and other people from our lunch area. It was set again at my middle school, which was holding a scavenger hunt of some sort. I was in a group of three with Wernick and some other skinny guy that I can't remember. >.< I don't remember the details anymore because I didn't have the time to write it down this morning before I went out driving. All I remember was that at the end of the scavenger hunt/race, Wernick and I were jumping over tables through carnival booths. Hayne was the second to last table, and she was holding some weird ebony statue. And after Wernick helped me over the last table...we won. Then my middle school turned in my high school and to celebrate Calvin, Natasha, and I think Wendy, and I went to sit in the shade at a stone table over java. And then I woke up. The weird thing is that throughout the dream I was being constantly woken up by my parents telling me to get up and drive, but I was still immersed in my dream at the same time. I don't know. It's confusing. I'm confused. Whatever. The end. XD

Last night was fun. My cousins make everything fun, by acting silly. And most of them are my age too. o.O So yeah. We went to this Chinese restaurant called Jumbo near my little cousin's house. We told them that we didn't want to drink soda because we didn't want to pay for it. And then they took away all of our glasses and napkins. Okay....weird...the portions were itty bitty. I only got to eat half the amount of prawns that I wanted to. But then they gave us too much chicken and crab. Their deep fried tofu was DELICIOUS!! And there's always fun with oranges. XD As in sticking the orange slices in your both and drawing on the peels to look like teeth. Then my grandma ordered some other weird dessert with orange fruit in it (they said that it was papaya), but I didn't like the smell. It kind of made me want to puke. So my two cousins and I just drank the soup (which was sweet) and left the orange stuff in the bowl. I felt bad, but I didn't really like it. Red bean soup all the way!!

Went to my uncle's house. The boys are interested into guns now. Hmm...As Sarah puts it, "They're into big boy toys that make big boy noise." ^^ My uncle was showing them his different guns and teaching them how to load and hold them and the such. So yeah. I grew uninterested and went up stairs with Sarah and listened to music and watch music videos on her shiny new orange laptop. Pretty~!

Didn't get home until 11:30pm. Watched some more Outlaw Star...I love the DVD. There's nine episodes in one case. Yay. ^_^

And I didn't finish any of my homework. So I better go do that.

Ever since the last episode of Gilmore Girls, I'm gushing all over Matt Czuchry all over again. I'll go look for pictures of him too. XD

Weekend = goodness

New layout!! ♥ Yay. =) I made this one last weekend I think. I was procrastinating again. >.< Anyways...it's themed again for Valentine's Day. I think the last time I made a mainly pink layout was a couple years ago back in my Paintshop Pro days. I still use PSP, but mainly for cropping and the like. It was a really good layout too. XD

Moving on. Talked to KP for approximately 2 hours last night on the phone. ^.^ I was doing Calculus homework at the same time, so I wasn't entirely procrastinating. I almost finished one problem set. Go me! Just five more to go. >.< However they're not due until after next weekend, so I'm good. I'm actually starting early. Heehee... It was a good conversation though. I miss the times when I get to talk for hours on the phone with friends. (I remember when I held a single conversation with anayufan for 4-6 hours ::proud grin:: We stayed up until 2-3 a.m. in the morning. Those were the good days. ::sigh:: Darn.) Now it's every five minutes, my mom pops up and repeatedly says, "Homework! Homework! Homework!" At least I'm not on the internet, okay. And I was doing my homework. =P

After talking on the phone with KP, I watched the first two episodes of Outlaw Star. ^_^ The library equals free anime goodness. Haha. Luckily this time, the DVD's weren't scratched as horrendously like the Witch Hunter Robin one. I'm still bitter about that. And Maniac, it's not the sticker that's causing the problem. They didn't even put a sticker on that disk. It's on the actual box. The only thing that is making that DVD crappy is the stupid humongous scratch. ::cries:: Maybe I should take a picture of it and show it to you.

Be right back. ::grabs camera:: Okay. Now I'm waiting for ImageShack to upload them. Here we go. Click the thumbnails. Sorry for the terrible editing. I used MS Paint which I don't know how to use.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

I told you the editing was terrible. I was in a rush and that's the only image editing program I have on this computer. XD I don't even have Microsoft Word on this computer. >.< All we use this computer for is internet. That's it. Oh...and sometimes watching movies since the monitor's pretty and it's faster than the other computer. So yeah, huge ugly scratch. T_T It basically covers the entire radius of the disc. ::pouts::

So...Outlaw Star...I've always loved this anime. It's been such a long time since I've seen it though. The last time was when it was still being shown on Cartoon Network, when Reboot, Sailor Moon, and Big O! still existed on cable television. XD I don't remember a lot. I just know that Gene was awesome. And the opening song was really good. Oh...and that he used a really cool gun and flew a really nice spaceship. And there was this uh somewhat naked girl who had special powers when he flew the spaceship. Haha. That's it. =) Good anime. Yup.

Good luck KP with your Chinese dance performance. I know you'll be awesome. Haha.

Enough procrastinating. I really need to do my homework. I have a Spanish oral too. Wah.

Finally celebrating Chinese New Year with the family this evening. We just go to a restaurant and exchange oranges and licee. I love my cousins though, so everything's good. ^^

Ay mi cabeza!! ::holds head and moans::

My head hurts by the way. >.< Oh man it hurts. T.T

And now to complete the stereotypical depressed blogger image:
I'm drowning people. I'm seriously drowning. I can't see. I can't breathe. I can't sleep. If it's not one thing it's the other. It's just not working for me right now. My spirit is draining away to disappear with the clouds. Where ist thy sun and its shine? The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. But first, the rainbow must me sought. Phooey. I'm just tired people. Very very tired. Can someone just slip a five day weekend in the calendar sometime soon before I collapse? Pretty please. I'll make you cookies.

On another note... after school was quite entertaining. XD We (KP, ollau, Lawrence, and I, and later Chris) made paper cranes until we dropped. Normal sized...small ones...flapping ones...and even a flower. =) To add to the list of things I have taught Christ: stars and now paper cranes. My job is done here. Although, I learned how to make paper cranes just 15 minutes before I taught Chris. Haha. Shh.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AZAREL!!!

You're so young. ::sniff::
