Thursday, December 16, 2004 09:46 p.m. A Piece of Bacon and Some Water
That's what I was running on today. I did not sleep, save a few random minutes I dozed off while studying, at all last night. This was mainly after I actually finished typing up answers to my study guide (our guide of 128 passages she possibly would put on the test) at about 10. Now, I didn't do it all--doing it consists of identifying the author/place in poem or essay, etc/explaning the significance of the passage--because I couldn't for many reasons. One, I didn't understand some of the passages and two, I still hadn't read the book Cambridge or Paradise. I read most the first part of Cambridge where the white girl is narrating. I tried to read the part where Cambridge, the black slave, narrators, but I didn't get the time. However, this seemed to be sufficient enough to get by on the exam. Man, I actually made good time even though I was like the second to last person to leave. I was surprised I could function well with a lack of food and a lack of sleep. The first essay I think I did well...the second... See the second, we had to reference six other texts from her selection. Now if it was my choice, we'd be in business. I found that I couldn't think of a work these people had done (she only gave the author and we were to think of their works). So that slowed me down a bit. However, I got done in two hours. We had 13 passages to identify (author/place/and significance in a paragraph) and then two essays. First one was about six paragraphs all together and the last one was about eight paragraphs all together. Kinda guitar. My hand was hurting as I went to the 24-hour study area to look over stuff for Japanese Lit exam at 1:00.
Now, I had been worried I wouldn't have much time to study Japan. Lit before 1:00. Okay, like one minute after pulling out my stuff for that class, I started dozing off. I was so bored with it and I started to get annoyed with the excessive time. I was like, "man, I'm sure it'll be easy--don't need to study much." I just really didn't give a damn at that point. I spent most of the time sleeping or daydreaming. I think I got like a whole thirty minutes of studying while I had like 2 hours and a half to work with. Plus there were loud people talking about accounting in there. I was pissed. I kinda never want to even think about accouting again in my life if I can help it. Which I can't. Gotta take another class. Gr...
Um, J Lit was hard. Eight essay questions. One, I definitely didn't know what the hell she wanted. So I winged. Who cares... I know it's my major, but heck, it's hard to fail one of her classes. Plus she gives you extra creit for coming to class. Perfect attendance gives you bonus points. After I was through I went to sleep at about 3 or 2:30. Woke up at 6:30. I wanted pizza, but I was still cautious of ordering... Yeah. So I decided to try this place near the science building. I heard they had chicken and subs and pizza... I expected some good crap. No, it was just crap. So I left and travelled to the new Family Dollar. They had crap too, but a few things I might come for regularly. Like Pacific Cooler Capri Suns--you can't get those at Rite-Aid. Or little Debbie Cakes like Oatmeal Creme Pies (the big ones!!). Plus it's closer than Rite-Aid, so that's always good... Then I went to Rite-Aid to get my brother's present. It was on sale. Oh, I got the money to buy it from returning my accouting book. I got 50 dollars back. Some might think that's great. No. I spent 112 on that bitch. 50 bucks my ass. And they took none of my other books. I felt like saying something Samuel L. Jackson said in that movie I still don't know the title of. Anyway, you know it's not anything nice if it's from him.
Though it was dark and I always said I'd never go far in that town when it was dark, I went to McDonald's. Got their 20-piece nuggets since they had a deal that you could get them for 4.00. Then I added a Big Mac. Came out to 6.14-ish. Very nice. I used debit since that stupid Mc D's finally came to the 21 century. Morons. Um, understand by this time I hadn't eaten all day. Except what? Yes, some water and a piece of bacon. It was 8:30 before I got back to my room and ate my food. Jahson called and said he'd pick me up on Friday like at 2am. Not too bad--I don't really care. I just forgot to buy some ramen when I went to Rite-Aid... I mean, I'm not going to spend a lot of money to sit at his house for a day, but I'm not going to starve myself either. I'll probably go back over there... Though I prefer not to.
Watched Meine Liebe 05 yesterday. It was great cuz it was all about Lui. He's so strange. It was funny because he was engaging himself to this girl and everyone (I'm talking the four other main male characters) were all against it. The funny thing was when Naoji and Lui were drinking tea. First of all, why is Naoji such a servant to Lui? It was like night time and Naoji comes in to bring him tea. As if he doesn't have anything else better to do. Then they sit and Lui eventually says to him, "don't you have something to say?" Concerning his engagement of course. I thought this was pretty yaoi suggestive. Why? Cuz Lui is always coming to Naoji's side (especially if it can insult Orphe) and is about the only person he's nice to. Well, nice as Lui can be. Apparently Lui only got engaged to improve his status. Not unusual for people in his position. The best part was when the engagement was announced at this party. Orphe and the crew noticed a bomb was going to go off next to Lui and the girl, so they leapt into action. But it was funny when Lui and Lui's dad thought they were just trying to make trouble. But, of course, as this is a yaoi-suggestive anime, Lui breaks off the engagement at the end. I'm not quite sure why. I didn't understand how it turned out he was just using the girl for some purpose... Either way, it was great. Now they've done all the episodes that give us a little window into the main characters personalities. Oh. That funny-as-hell teacher. He was part of that attempt to kill Lui. Man, he is great! But I have no idea why he doesn't like those five. Who knows, but he's one of my favorite characters in there... he's so bitter and that voice. I wish he'd been in it more than that Koyasu-voiced guy. Hate him...
I finally got ann no aku's present! It is great! I actually want what I got her. The sad thing is I can't until later. It sucks when you get someone something you'd steal from them. Lauren...still don't know... Ryan, I got his thing set up. I think. I'll have to see... Jahson, I'm going to order the gift certificate soon... So that leaves my Dad and my other friend... It'd be nice if I got more money from returning books. Back in Mugenjou it was nice. I got enough to get me by. Damn cheapass bookstore. Hope they burn in heck.
Quote from Samuel L. Jackson: Yes, they deserved to die and I hope they burn in hell! --To the Mount Union "Cash Back" Motto. My ass...
