She finally did it. Brenna snapped her fingers, both hands. I know it is a simple thing but she's been trying to copy me for months and could never get it quite right. Sometimes it's these small seemingly insignificant milestones that can bring tears to my eyes because they foreshadow the bigger changes ahead. She is growing up entirely too fast. Dammit.

We went to Sandra's first birthday party today. Sandra is the daughter of some friends of ours. I didn't take any pictures but our friend sent a couple he took so I posted them here.

I participate in an email discussion list for other parents that are also into attachment parenting principles and related topics such as home birth, etc. We've met a couple moms and their kids from that list already. Today we met a new member to the group. Jackie lives only about ten minutes away and has a 28 month old daughter named Meredith. I think we all got along pretty well. There are photos up of Brenna and Meredith playing in the sandbox at the children's museum.
