Brenna had her first trip the ER today. Actually, it wasn't the ER but the local urgent care walk-in clinic. She had a sliver on the bottom of her foot that I just could not get out. I called my mother-in-law to come over and help me try but even with both of us working on it there was no progress. All we were doing was torturing the poor kid who was screaming and squirming. Miraculously, the technician at the clinic sat her down in my lap with Blues Clues stickers, and with a special tweezers was able to pop it out in less than fifteen seconds. Brenna didn't even flinch or notice what was going on! Best of all, the service was free. We all left much much happier. I was so relieved it wasn't a horrible ordeal for her.
