Drudge Becomes A Casualty Of His Own Juggernaut
Monday, November 29, 1999, 05:22 p.m.
Is Matt Drudge's moment finally over? While his brand of "reporting" is certainly different, I'm totally over every least little thing being a "scoop."
There's Life after Death via e-mail
Monday, November 29, 1999, 05:13 p.m.
This is just freaky and weird...a web site called "Finalthoughts.com" allows you to create and store e-mail for your loved ones to receive after you die.
Spam from beyond the grave...
Heat Fries Y2K Film Web Host
Monday, November 29, 1999, 05:13 p.m.
More about the guy whose film got pulled from his web site by his ISP due to an FBI "request" (see my archives for the original article). His ISP has put it back up -- but lost a ton of business for taking it down to begin with.
FBI's "Geek Profile Test"
Monday, November 29, 1999, 05:06 p.m.
Being a geek is not always good. The FBI is distributing a checklist of "potentially violent characteristics" to schools throughout the US and Canada.
You may be "potentially violent" if:
"Do you have above average intelligence? Are you sometimes a loner, a part of a small circle of friends perceived as outsiders?"
Or, how about:
"Do you come from a dysfunctional home? Resent authority? Reject criticism?"
So let me ask: has any adolescent not resented authority at some point? How about felt like a loner? And how does one define "dysfunctional home," exactly?
Pure bullshit, people...
