Sorry I didn't blog after soccer. Umm, something, um, came up.....no I just didn't feel like it really. yeah. Well, anyway, I guess I really am blogging after soccer, because I have played soccer since I said I'd blog. I never said after which soccer I'd blog..... :)
So today we had a scrimmage/game thingy against Prendie. It was originally going to be 2 regulation games, each with two 45-minute halves. Then it was going to be three 30-minute "halves", one JV, one Varsity, and one mixed. Then it wound up being four 30-minute quarters, V-JV-V-JV. Not fun. My ankle was kind of hurting and stuff, so I stuck it out for the first JV quarter, thinking the game was going to be three quarters. Then I saw the trainer, who is amazingly nice compared to Trainer Amy at Irwins. Branching off here for a minute. (Trainer Amy gave you ice for anything. I came in with a torn ligament and she said 'The ice is in the thing' while playing on her computer. My friend came in with a broken wrist and she said 'Ice.' Supposedly someone came in with a dismangled arm or leg or something obviously broken and Trainer Amy said 'Get back on the field'.) So Mary Ellen, who has her own first name and has not adopted 'Trainer' as her first name (and her name doesn't rhyme with trainer) is sooooo nice. Except that when she did my tests to see what had happened to my ankle, we all hear and see it pop and she goes 'Oh my God!'. That, of course, made me feel so much better. Turns out I sprained it. I sprained it good. I have to stay off it for the rest of the week, but I still have to go to practice. Any help on that one?
So after the game(s), I had to go to the dentist. That was fun. I just switched dentists, and my old one didn't really feel like filling in my cavaties. Ever, really. I also have horrible horrible genetics. Rather than brushing when I remember to like most of you, I have to brush three times a day with prescription toothpaste (4x the flouride), floss with dental tape, tape, not floss, tape, and mouthwash like minimium once a day. So I go in today and they tell me 'You've just got a few little ones, you should be out in an hour at the most.' An hour and a half, like seriously 5 or 6 rounds of Novacaine, and four fillings later, the nice assistant lady tells me Dr. Paradine wanted to do two more, but she had said no. This is what she tells me: 'They look really little from the outside and from the Xrays, but once you get in there it's soft like butter.' o. m. g. She actually said 'soft like butter'. I'll let you all go over that one while I go back to sleep, seeing as I can't feel my nose, my right eye, or my jaw, even though I got out of there at 3:45 and it is now 7:30. lata (haha megger) ~J

does anyone know where meg is? she hasn't been online in forever. arrrgggg!!! please please please please somebody email me!!! no really!!!! I need to do something with someone (like maybe see Austin Powers) and no one is around!! In case you forgot my email, it is: jryan88@comcast.net!!!I have been hanging out with the guards too much. They can all drive and I can't. I feel so left out. I can't get to any of my main line friends for that reason. It's not like I'm going to ride my bike 15 miles to go to the movies or dinner or worse 20 miles to Manayunk. This sucks!! Especially since I can drive, I'm just not legally allowed too for ever. But please I am feeling like such a loser so someone please call me or email me to do something! I don't care what! Hell, we could egg the college if you want!! I don't care!! Just call me!!
woohoo!!
Yipee!!!! SSC divers did really well at champs!!! Alysa Frost got 3rd (12U girls), and Patrick Monari got 10th (12U boys). We didn't have any senior (18U) boys, but we did have girls. Anna Bruno (18U girls) got 6th, and Meg Ryan (18U girls) got 1st. Meg also recieved the "Eric", an award, umm, awarded, to the diver in each age group who wins all of their dual meets and championships. Meg is also my sister. I'm really glad she got the League Cup (now called the "Eric"...long story...later...), because she has been diving for over a decade now and has always had someone just above her. Back to the results. Christy Hayden got 2nd (10U girls) and Amanda Markowicz got 8th (10U girls). Unfortunately, neither of our 10U boys (Jacob Van Langeveld and Alex Chideckel) made the cut (which is sort of a good thing because neither of them wanted to), and our other 10U girl, Julia Pierce did not quite make it. The 10U girls' meet was extremely close. Usually, there is about a 10-30 point difference between first and second place. At the 10U girls' meet, there was a five point difference between 2nd and 8th places. Yeah. There was a quarter of a point difference between 2nd and 3rd. This is what I mean. Extremely close. Swarthmore took second, third, and fourth places (Matt Miller, Mark Cain-Walther, and Ben Smulyan, respectively) in the 14U boys' meet. Kerry Kelly took 8th (14U girls), and Jamie Ryan (me!) got 1st (!) (14U girls). I was really mad that Chrissy from Ply-Mar couldn't compete. She is really good, and great competitiion. Chrissy had swimmer's ear, which is really not fair, because that's not her fault. But oh well. Anyone who places 1st or 2nd in their champs from our league (Suburban), Delco Leauge, or the Intra-County League can participate in the 1st Annual Elite Meet, to be held at Ridley Swim Club on Monday. Alysa really wanted to go to that, but she can't b/c she got third. I had thought when I found out about the Elite Meet (about a month ago) that the qualifiers should be first, second, and third. I mean, there are only going to be 6 girls and 6 boys in each age group anyway. Why not have 9 boys and 9 girls? Whatev. So Meg is going, I'm going, Matt is going, and Christy is going. There are also some of Meg's and my friends are going from Marple and Ply-Mar. I didn't really want to go to champs, but I wanted to get first or second to go to the Elite Meet. Oh jeez, pool champs is today. That is usually a fun thing, but Anna and I are putting in synchronized smacks for our synchronized diving competition. I'm also trying to do a back 1 1/2 (ugh), a double (ugh ugh), and a full twisting 1 1/2 (ugh ugh ugh). Oh well. I can still look forward to the Hidden Hollow Invitational. That meet is awesome. I usually place 4th or 5th, but what I really look forward to diving platform. That's what's really fun. It's kind of anoying though, because this one girl who is really stuck up always wins, because Hidden Hollow is her home pool and it is the only one with a platform tower. It's supposed to just be a bunch of kids and macho men going off the tower every which way trying not to get hurt. Last year I *cough* learned three dives the day of, so I placed like 13th out of like 12. But now I have longer to practice, and I'm taking some dives up to the 6.5 meter platform from the 3 meter. Last year all I could do on 6.5 was a lineup, which is like a front dive but you fall off instead of jumping. I can't wait for my dad's pictures to be developed. He is a pretend photographer, but he's good at diving pictures. He took shots during Meg's and my meets, and I think during Alysa's too. He's also going to take pics at Hidden Hollow and the Elite Meet. I gtg....I have to psych myself up for pool champs....I do my double every year, and I have never put it in a real meet. I used to just be able to throw it and hold on and cannonball it in, but now I get more height and I have to, you know, come out of the tuck. arg...... ~J
PS: tag me or email me if you want me to put up any of the diving pictures (although I probably will anyway.....)
HOla EvERYooonnnee!!!! this is for the journal entry that i deleted a couple days ago!! haha!!
so anyways! i just got back from a two week "vacation" a couple days ago! it was really fun!! i went to piano camp (do not laugh at me....i will slap you if you do...hehe! :op) and it was really fun! we did solo, duet work, eurythmics, composition, theory, and much more! it was really fun, and it was really nice to have people around me that have the same passion i do for piano (again...don't laugh at me...haha!:o)) and yes lizzy as i said, "yes, there were no decent guys there..." "piano camp...enough said.." hehe! the solo and duet work was really fun! i played the "rain drop" prelude by Chopin, and i played two duets with this really nice girl named kate! it was really great to work with her because she has a really similar style of playing the piano as I do. Haha!! it was really funny when we preformed the duets because we both got really into the pieces and we were both really swaying on the piano bench...(haha...if you've ever seen me play the piano, as haley says, i "sway") hehe! composition was really interesting! i composed this 20 measure piece (pretty short) but it was really kool to compose it! the teacher of the class progressed it REALLY well. The first day we had to write a little melody. Then, the second we expanded on that melody and added an accompanament, and then the last day we added little details like articulation, dynamics, color, and other stuff! it was REALLY KOOL!! hehe! then i had eurythmics class! it's sorta hard to explain the class cuz it was very unique, but it was really interesting!! haha...i roomed with my friend jane (also from swarthmore) and she was taking the vocal class. I think little snipets of the messiah were stuck in our head all week...we kept singing it everytime we were in our dorm room..haha! *rejoice, rejoice, rejoice greatly!!*....because jane was in the vocal camp, i got to meet some people from the vocal camp too, in addition to the piano camp! i met this girl named christina who has the most amazing opera voice! and jane has the most amazing opera voice too! we kept escaping to practice rooms all through out the week where they sang duets and i played for them! it was so much fun!! haha...one night christina was hiding out in our dorm room because we were all talking, and all the councelors went out on campus to look for her cuz they couldn't find her in her dorm room...*oops!!* haha!! then the recital came on friday, and everybody did really well!!! i think i'm gonna do this next year too!! it was really fun!! and it might help me to decide if i want to do something in college with the piano (haha...my dream - to become a profesional pianist and accompanist...i don't really think that's going to happen...but that's ok!! hehe!!) anyways...then i got shipped off to my grandparents house (lol...not literally)
My grandparents house was really fun too! i didn't really do much...actually i was pretty unproductive most of the week...but that's ok!! sometimes it's good for you to be unproductive!! yea...i think the only productive thing i did was play for the church service (for the hymns, doxology, gloria patri...) at my grandparents church cuz they needed a substitute pianist, and i played for the music at the vacation bible camp there. hehe! that was fun!! other than that, it was pretty unproductive. hehe!! o, one night while i was there we saw the play "harvey"! it was REALLY good!! if you've never seen it, go and see it, cuz it's REALLY good, and cute!! it's about an imaginary friend whos a 6 foot rabbit...haha!! well, i gtg!! love you all so much!!!!! ~Meghan:o)

Hey everybody! I haven't written since the giant phobia list (i hope you all realize some of that was a joke, such as the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth). I now have the first roll (one more coming) of film from YPTW Camp 2002. Now if you would all remain somber for a moment while I give a special shout out:
You are amazing. You are my God. I could not have done anything with my pictures without you. I had no idea what to do. I was pretty much at the stage where I had pictures and was taping them to my computer screen. Then I emailed you, pretty much saying "save me I have no idea what I'm doing" and, wow, you did. You went through everything step by step (in english) so I could understand it. You're even hosting my pictures and page. Thank you so so so so so so so so much!!!!!!! By the way, have you ever heard of "Medabots"? Well anyway it seems to be some kind of Japanese comic. To the point, I have a Taco Bell kids meal toy of Medabots (I kid you not). Wondering if you wanted it.

we broke 300!
we broke 300!!! and its only been like three weeks since we broke 200!!!! okay wait now that sounds like it takes three full weeks to get 100 people, not 100 different people mind you, just 100 people to come visit our site.
btw, if i talked to anybody online today (besides emily kaplan) i sweear it wasnt me. apparently, either between 1pm and 3pm or between 3:30pm and 5:30pm someone else signed on as me. I get home from either tennis or french (i cant remember which) and it says i have been logged off bc i signed on at a different location. Also apparently "I" talked to meg (ryan) and she asked me where the hell I was and "I" said I was in Philly. Ummm....okay, sure, why not? So I apologize if "I" said anything wacked out (except for the whole thing about Gina eating my steed to emily), it wasn't really me. And if anybody did that and thinks its a funny joke, well guess what, its not. At least its not if you dont say hehe its really *your name here*!
Oh also, if anybody wants to be linked at the bottom of the page, email me. Just make sure you fit our three basic requirements:
1. you have a blog/diary/livejournal/website;
